I think this is the reasoning, for Amarin to change their accounting method as reported last quarter! Using script numbers is unreliable as far as accounting systems go. Script numbers are not a solid number, they are a fabricated weekly number, created by formula's that try and guess total scripts submitted. The problem is, the providers of script numbers do not have total access to scripts given to walk-up/mail-order pharmacies. Better to account for shipments per quarter, total of invoices received by accounts receivable department, paid by customers.
