Mschere: Your QUESTION is the most important one that could be asked and ANSWERED if this Board is to be of any serious value to investors. You have done a Herculean job of trying to focus Board attention on "fundamental analysis" and I, for one, really do appreciate it. Your searching suggestions about possible "merger & acquisition" candidates, among other things, arouse my curiosity about what could be happening down the road. I wish I knew more about the product research and development programs underway and planned at IDCC, including projects related to TD-SCDMA and the various versions of Wi-Fi out there, and what kind of alliances it has been nurturing without much, if any, awareness on the part of shareholders. Apart from the need for getting the licensing deals done, I cannot think of anything more relevant to gauging the future potential of IDCC. I personally believe that the directions, decisions, and effectiveness IDCC demonstrates in advancing its products and services with strategic alliances and partnerships is fundamental to ensuring the success of its short and long range licensing goals. The Nokia 3G licensing "success" was largely a result, I believe, of the TDD product development program sought by Nokia at the time. The products under development, when completed, give credibility and visibility to the value of IDCC 3G patents and engineering skills and will, in my opinion, make 3G licensing a whole lot easier, more attractive and "value added". For this reason, I don't expect much 3G licensing until late 2003 and 2004, accelerating after the successful rollout of demonstrable products.

It is truly unfortunate that so much of this Board's energy and focus has been fixated for so many months on insider selling, ISO's and dilution, or other governance concerns, with the repeated orgies of management bashing, reform agendas, confrontational politics and organized campaigning. Without contributing much, if any, enlightenment towards understanding the investment value of IDCC, its primary effect has been to dilute whatever value for investment analysis this Board has had and for which it was once respected. It has only contributed to worthless antagonisms, factionalism, and divisiveness. Worse yet, it may have driven away many of the most capable and respected people for researching and articulating the "fundamental analysis" that should be our focus here. I hope you are not planning to leave this Board any time soon as it would leave another gaping hole in its relevance. Just saying thanks for your many contributions.

Hope everyone has a pleasant Memorial Weekend.
