I don't post much anymore but there is not thousands of midland power plants.

The population of Midland is only about 120 thousand, and half of those are only there now due to the oilfield which only lasts for 3-4 years spurts at a time, outside of Midland there isn't much at all. One of the least desirable places in Texas to live is West Texas, it is like a desert with nothing for miles and miles oh and zero trees.

I don't understand why they would choose such a low population area to develop the Power plant/station.

I worked in the oilfield out of Odessa/Pecos for over 3 years. Very poor communities. I worked there but never moved there, i drove back to houston every few weeks.

Just cant understand why they choose Midland over way more desirable/Populated areas.
