This is one of the silliest threads I have read here. And yes, it

makes no sense

that this is even being discussed.

Of course the NP-1 is Google Play Store Licensed. Why would NTEK bother submitting for CTS testing and certification at an expense of $40,000 if they aren't going to deploy with the Google Play Store.

Foxconn is the ODM assigned to the project by nVidia, and has done both the 4.2 and 4.4 firmware modifications, CTS testing and submissions. This is an extensive process that involves hundreds of man hours on behalf of both companies. NTEK had to provide 15 NP-1's, complete pack outs in the retail packaging for this testing.

The NP-1 is a legitimate, licensed, authorized product with unique firmware developed specifically for NanoTech.
