Well, first of all, if I remember correctly, Apple paid LQMT 20 million to secure the use of Liquidmetal's patents for consumer electronics forever. The research and development that they are doing at present is in amorphous alloy, not necessarily LQMT. So, stating that Apple is investing in LQMT is misleading.

Sure LQMT may have the benefit of profiting from Apple's research in amorphous alloy. That's just a matter of someone at LQMT HQ getting off their arse and getting some contracts yesterday.

The bottom line is, Apple is investing in themselves for possible future use of amorphous alloy in their own products and not necessarily LQMT.

Now, on a positive note, if Apple uses amorphous alloy in a product AND uses the Liquidmetal trademark to describe it, it's probably a home run for you guys. If they simply call it Vitreloy, amorphous alloy, bulk metallic glass or anything else, well..... Probably not so much of a home run. At the end of the day, LQMT still needs to sell some Liquidmetal. Chess sets or drill bits for Mars probes? Who cares but damn make and sell something.

Keeping an eye out for that new machine.

Just my opinion.

Let's keep it civil and understand that this is a forum of mostly amateur opinions. I am not here to give advice or argue. The best way to get rid of trolls is by using the ignore feature. And if you don't like what I say feel free to ignore me. Thanx.
