mPhase Technologies to Continue The Development of its Smart Surface Technology
Smart Drug Delivery System Targeted
mPhase Technologies, Inc. (XDSL) (http://mphasetech.com/), announced today that it is continuing the development of its award winning smart surface technology.
mPhase desires to further advance the design, fabrication and commercialization of its nanostructured material and devices for military and commercial applications relating to advanced battery, sensor and drug delivery systems.
Under past Cooperative Research and Development Agreements with the United States Army, mPhase developed a smart surface that made it possible to keep the essential components of a battery, the solid electrode and liquid electrolyte, separated until power is needed. This battery system, the Smart Nanobattery, can be activated electronically, mechanically or via gravitational pull.
This research lead to the expansion of mPhase’s Intellectual Property by filing a smart drug delivery system patent application in February 2013, which utilizes mPhase’s smart surface technology.
mPhase intends to concentrate the development of its smart surface technology on advanced energy storage devices and smart drug delivery systems.
