The need for local access occurs when the end user tries to access data at a location with intermittent or no internet connectivity. With traditional methods of virtualization, the process occurs on local hardware through a software hypervisor. See how the competition does it right now:

Two things that we already know about Glassware:

Glassware does not use a hypervisor. So if there is no hypervisor, how do you make local mode work for Glassware?

Silverline mentioned in his post from the AGM: "They showed us a new device they have developed that is about 1/2" thick and the size of a large credit card that they have just applied for a patent on, that does the SAME thing. Better yet, they are now working on a single chip that will do it all. This chip could then be installed in any device, so that device can become whatever you want it to be."

I think this chip will be used for local mode virtualization folks. The chip would do what a software hypervisor functioning on local hardware would do, except it will do it faster and more efficiently.
