Well you may have seen a recent commercial, for some eye care product, that claims 'the human eye can see a candle from 10 miles away'. Since we have been moving at a snail's pace here, we can expect soon to mean another year or 2.

Light at end of tunnel = 10 miles
Snail's pace = .002 MPH
10 miles divided by .002 MPH = 5,000 hours
5,000 hours divided by 24 hours/day = 208.333 days
(Not allowing for meals, bathroom breaks, sleep time, weekends, holidays, sick days, vacations.)
