12R....I think an opposing view is good for a stock board. I don't think bashers serve a purpose and I say that because of the way they voice their opinion.

A board should be a mix of pro investors and con investors and ideally the conversation should be kept on an even keel and adult like.

I do not like it when people start using the colorful language and attacking people. As mods people think we just sit here and censor the board and take off posts that we don't like. Nothing could be further from the truth. First of all, you all have the right to complain to Matt if you think a post was removed wrongly. He reviews every post anyway and if in his judgement no rules were broken HE restores it. That does not happen very often so we are taking off posts that violated the rules in one form or another. I really don't think many people read the TOU agreement completely to find out what is acceptable and what is out of bounds. Understanding those rules would make our job easier.

We also get TONS of PM's from board members asking for something to be done with the really bad "bashers". They say bashers only bash good stocks. This could be true. But when it goes from simply having an opposing view to trying to manipulate the stock price for personal gain there is a problem.

Do we make mistakes??? Sure we do. But everyone needs to remember that the mods of a board have hundreds of people to deal with. On the other hand the board members only have 3 people that they can rip apart. Trying to find a balance can be VERY hard.

All I can say is we try and be fair but like anyone else we have our breaking points too. Some posters just won't let up and HAVE to HAVE the last word. They create havoc on the board and it upsets the flow for everyone.

If you don't like the stock that's fine. You are allowed to post your opinion, but when it is done over and over and over there is a problem. The same goes for too much cheerleading. That is equally as bad if done in poor taste and ad nauseum

I think if everyone would take just one extra minute to think about what they are going to write before submitting a post all of these boards would be much more enjoyable.

"Sort of" is such a harmless thing to say. "Sort of". It's just a filler. "Sort of" - It doesn't really mean anything. But after certain things, "sort of" means everything. Like after "I love you" or "You're going to live" or "It's a boy".
