TVIX doesn't follow the market it follows VIX futures. If you divide the VIX by 16, you'll get the expected range for the $SPX. VIX options expired this morning, so there's more time to speculate on VIX movement today than there was yesterday

Here's a guy to read that puts alot of effort into calculating and alerting Contango for TVIX, UVXY, etc.
