L. Torvalds had some negative things to say about Itanium (EPIC) architecture.

He works for Transmeta right? A microprocessor company quickly going broke
from trying to compete with Intel. May not be an unbiased source of opinion on
EPIC hmmmm? Aside from that, AFAIK he has no experience or track record in
compiler technology, chip design, or computer architecture. Other than his
celebrity status from Linux is there any particular reason the opinion of this
particular programmer is more noteworthy than any other?
