Dishfan: YES Patents Expire AND Technology Develops too!

Adding to your excellent point, patents expire and technology development occurs too.

Investing is about the future, NOT the past. Would it make sense to invest in a company with a future of diminishing revenues from old technology only or a company who is deriving revenues from their past work AND developing new technologies to derive revenue from in the future?
