I know from experience that ScottTrade locks up shares for at least a week while waiting for everything to settle with the T/A. This totally sucks for shareholders because typically we watch the price soar, then plummet all while not being able to access our shares. I've been through three splits with ST now and each time I ended up holding longer than I planned.

Not sure if this is for everyone, just calling it from my personal experience with my platform.
