The recent 10-K mentions a “Hybrid engine” for the Argus. Solar fits hybrid.
It would seem the Argus started off with the Army .. but in Ohio, is now Air Force?
The Air Force & Air Force Research Laboratory ( which is @ the Wright-Patterson base in Ohio ) have been working with Hybrid Engines & solar arrays. The gas engine that was on the Argus had an 8 hr limit / per 250 mile tour .. & that isn’t enough imo
Indy said of the Argus .. “we have a working proto-type for pete’s sake”. Ok, we have the means / know-how to raise, lower, free fry a LTA UAS .. but for only 8 hrs! So why wouldn’t you skin it with metal looking solar photo array ( that seems to be available? ) & add in a “hybrid engine”??
We know WSGI were again to be at the NIE 14.2 with the tethered WASP’s, because of the SMDC. We also know that the military want UAS’s ( LTA were mentioned a while back ) to be included in their network .. & that the SMDC ( White Sands ) are also interested in airships.
So, imo .. the Argus needs to be @ the NIE now also

Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.”
