For the public record, I am not nor ever been one of "The Associates" that make up the group Crash Over-Ride spoke of.
I posted my email address in the fall of 2005 on RB and started getting emails from Crash Over-Ride, the same as MountainMan and others, unsolicited. Some were very negative and some positive. Many of them contained links to support their positions. Based on the emails, there has always been dissention in the group concerning PRRM/SMMW.
And yes, both MountainMan and I, by virtue of reading the emails sent to us, consider Crash Over-Ride a source of information.....information to be accepted or discarded as appropriate. I've always read Crash's comments the same as I've read any other comments....all of them as information with some of the information useful and some not.
Mugsey, If you've been reading along since last November, you'd already know that many times I've mentioned Crash in my posts. MountainMan has as well. He also considered Crash a source of information. Recently he praised Crash for their renewed interest in PRRM/SMMW.
These latest posts by Crash? To date I've received three emails to my hotmail account relating to the posts from yesterday. Wanna know who’s cc'd? MountainMan! He's also getting them, but don't expect him to post the emails. They don't support his position.
SIDE NOTE: I don't doubt that Crash talked to the Cop. I just felt he went too far in attempting to have a cop validate his position on Dan. Even if it happened, it would have sounded so unbelievable that he shouldn't have posted it, knowing it would be challenged heavily.
So if you're going to try to make a case about Crash as my source of information, and attempt to use my answer of “affirmative” to prove a point you want to make, better think again. Recall, MountainMan also relied heavily on information from Crash as well. The most famous is the December email RJ posted on IHUB a few messages ago. MountainMan used that email for a factual source of information to suit his agenda.
Any accusation you wish to level at me concerning Crash you also level it at your hero, MountainMan as well
