Was the size of your order large enough to be considered a round lot.. If they are not they will not be posted until the actual bid or offer is equal to your order.. I always add 888 to the round lot size to make sure it fills at the bid or offer if I'm equal to or greater than the actual quotes.. Running ahead of others on low float or low volume stocks because you think you saw it first doesn't always work.. When I was on the OTC desk we had one person that read ever PR and press release from any wire or edgar and could run ahead faster than you could type in a symbol.. That hasn't changed but there are fewer looking anymore so the competition is far less.. But unusual orders before the open on thin stock are posted and always researched before the market by some MM's just to make a flip like you into the buyers that will appear.. Stock that most avoid are those that for some reason or other bring their filings upto date,, because in most cases after they have sold what they want they stop filing.. ..hank
