If you haven't been through a merger or had a stock that has good through one you should consider googling other mergers than have taken place so you have some reference points. When you do so, you should consider that larger firms have to deal with many issues including possible antitrust issues that should be minimal for small firms. Especially when it's not a hostile situation and where there is little chance of a monopoly being created since there will be many other remaining players in the same market. IMO
