The last I heard was that GBT’s Common Packet Channel (CPCH) was included in the IMT-2000 specs. This one invention alone is quite significant because GBT’s CPCH is the standard
packet structure for medium sized packets, which according to GBT documents "is the most common length for email and web browsing transactions."

I would very much be in favor of IDCC buying into this technology. It's always nice to supplement technology IPRs with specific protocol IPRs. Also, it seems like a perfect fit since the two companies have always shown respect and a willingness to work with each other. If you recall, it was GBT who called Interdigital "the legacy thinking of the 3G system."
