Evaluate: That's a huge number of patients... so that story needs some further explanation.

Why would the therapy not already have been approved then? Why is NW bothering?

I can speculate. I can make up an explanation, but I wish that story came with a real explanation.

I could speculate that the PEI would have forced a $300M+ trial for approval, and nobody was willing to spend that kind of money. So they just plugged along treating rich patients with cash. Not sure plugging along fits with 3500 patients...

There are people that have written posts here blasting the claims printed about that work in Cologne. Among other criticisms, they said the doctor was written up as a quack, so he sued for libel, but lost.
