Food Management Magazine Announces the Winners of Its 2006 Best Concept Awards
Monday February 13, 9:00 am ET


CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 13, 2006--Food Management magazine, published by Penton Media (OTCBB:PTON - News), has announced winners of its 2006 Best Concepts Awards competition, which recognizes exceptional achievement and innovation in several categories of onsite or "noncommercial" foodservice. The winners will be featured in the cover story that appears FM's March 2006 issue and will be highlighted at the 2006 Food Management Ideas Conference, to be held May 17-19 in Chicago, immediately preceding the National Restaurant Show.
Winning Best of Show in the 2006 competition is Purdue University Dining Services, headed by Director Sarah Johnson. The award recognizes Purdue Dining Services' outstanding achievement in completely transforming its campus dining operations from a traditional, inefficient model characterized by 19 small, retail and board outlets into a series of 10 vibrant, cutting edge dining halls and retail operations. These new facilities, built in stages over a number of years (the last will open in 2008), not only give Purdue students a wide choice of contemporary dining options but offer the university a high-profile, on-campus amenity that will help it compete for the most promising future students.
