Here They Come Knock Knock Knocking at MMR’s Door

Healthcare.gov is in full swing, as advertised, over 7 million people have signed up for insurance, and another 3 million have been included in Medicare expansion. Based on regulations under the HITECH Act, many of those enrollees will be offered Personal Health Records, including those licensed or provided by MMR.

Meanwhile MMR is preparing to announce a third major agreement & at least two additional agreements with EMR providers and Big Box retailers that are not defendants in the MMR’s existing patent litigation.

We also heard from many of our stockholders since after mailing 4,000 Shareholder Letters last week. They are enthusiastic & excited over MMR’s recent signing of Agreements with a Fortune 50 company, one of the largest Electronic Medical Record Companies in the world & numerous others in health IT, Grocery & document management systems for hospitals and PHR’s.

A number of people asked why we waited until this week for our annual stockholder call. Simply put, it’s been busy. Last week was spent with five law firms representing MMR in numerous transactions including patent litigation council, special patent litigation council, patent prosecution council, securities council and corporate HIT & general council. Before the week was out, our side of the table clocked more than eighty hours, or $250,000, plus travel and per diem expenses, not including any council on the other side. I personally spent nearly 70 hours with lawyers in what has to ultimately get me qualified for a law degree in patent discovery and local rules.
