Some good news from Florida.
http://www.wftv.com/news/news/local/florida-rep-wants-medical-marijuana-legislation-pa/ndJxq/
Florida rep wants to speed up legal medical mj and not wait till Nov vote.
I play penny stocks with money that I can afford to loose.
It's great fun.
If I make great money that is wonderful.
If I loose it I'm not out on the street.
Don't get me wrong. I love PHOT.
It reminds me of the days when I was betting everything on my own business and had sleepless nights worrying.
Kudos to Sterling and the gang.
I always loose in Vegas.
I sometimes I win in pennies.
Where oh where could the share price be.
Penny land pricing has little to do with revenue, market cap, or balance sheets.
I owned shares in a .com company that went from .34 to $7.55 within a 3 month period, simply on smoke and mirrors. They didn’t even have.01 in revenue. (Naturally, I watched then retrace down to .0001) within 6 months then disappear)
People buy into a penny stock out of enthusiasm and a bit of greed.
Growlife can rise to very impressive prices in a very short term enthusiasm and greed will determine that. But, would soon retrace down to realistic values. Revenue and organization will determine how much.
I do feel that they have enough ducks in a row to build a strong company in this sector. I won’t sell as long as they continue the gradual, logical increase in share price. If they “skyrocket” then, depending on my profit I’d sell and wait for the retrace. That won’t be a $1 though.
In any case, I see a great company in the making and am excited to be on the ground floor looking skyward.
Should we finally find out who is behind CANX after the deal is done?
So, lets get a list of one or two sentence questions together for an attendee at the meeting to ask.
Mine,
Once the CANX deal is done do we get to know who is behind this company?
Do they have any plans on offering franchises for Growlife stores?
I'm no stock analyst but do like the wild west atmosphere of penny land.
In my experience, on the day of an annual stockholders meeting the MMs bid up the stock price impressively. In this case .5-.8 cents.
Then the shareholders meeting is held, attendees report their impressions, which may be very good business wise but usually don't match the hype on message boards, there is a sell off at the end of the day. MMs make money, weak hands loose money, holders shrug their shoulders and continue to support the company that they believe in.
Thank you Burton, Very enlightening.
I am so much more comfortable with PHOT trading in this "casual" trend. Penny stocks = high volatility and huge price swings. Board stocks = steady growth with consolidation.
PHOT is looking more like a big board stock every day.
Patience will out.
IMO buy don't flip.

Don't know if this link has been posted yet.

I couldn't agree more.
Florida inclusion in med mj is great. Second or third in state population. Lots of business down here in the sunshine state.
Maybe a dumb question.
PHOT currently has an average daily volume of about 53 mil. shares.
FITX currently has average of 153mil.
After comparing both companies history and management teams I can't figure out why FITX is so much more active than PHOT. Not to dis FITX, but PHOT seems to have it's "act" together much more than the other.
I'm still going to put a few bucks into FITX but am just curious.
fpoint
You're making an assumption that there is a party or parties willing to pay 40mil at list price for this stock.
No sound investor in his right mind would do this for a penny stock.
Also, the historic day to day sales volume won't support raising that much capital at list price, in any reasonable amount of time.
CANX no only have the money we need they have it now, when we need it.
fpoint
I think we have to be realistic about CANX.
They have the money that we want.
Without the shares to pay them we don't get the money that we need.
We should count our blessings that a group of investors has chosen to take a chance on PHOT.
I doubt that the PHOT management would risk their relationship with CANX by playing games.
The risk is too high of CANX taking their money somewhere else.
We need CANX more that they need us.

Agree 100%
You make a good point.
For me, I've read the business plan and financials, and seen the outstanding personnel that they've brought to the company.
It all looks logical and well structured.
I choose to trust the management to make the right decision for the company and stock holders.
After all if I didn't trust them I'd sell.
Yes we could go back to the negotiating table with CANX if the shares aren't authorized but CANX holds most of the cards in this game. They have the money and we have only an impressive business plan.
Maybe it's better to take the deal that we have and look forward rather than start from square one again.
I feel we sometimes think this company is bigger than it is. It's a start up, high risk, high potential company. We don't have that much leverage to negotiate with.
You have make a reasonable point, but for me, the news of the CANX spelled out the situation to my satisfaction.
For what it’s worth, I’m voting yes on the A/S increase and here’s why.
The GIFT program.
CANX is investing into the Growlife gift program in exchange for shares.
Without an increase in A/S I don’t see the company having enough shares to compensate CANX for their participation.
Without CANX we have no GIFT.
Without GIFT we have a company with potential to do well in this emerging market, but we won’t see nearly as dramatic nor fast return on our investment.
Without CANX we have no $40mil.
Without the $40mil money has to be raise some other way.
Banks won’t lend it. Venture Capital firms are expensive and take control of the company.
The only way to raise more money is to increase shares, and we’re back to dilution without $40mil in our pockets.
Yes dilution sux but Mr Hunt makes a good point in saying that there is both good and bad dilution. I think this is good dilution.
Finally, let’s face facts. This is penny land. The wild west of investing. If we don’t want to risk in exchange for higher ROI we’ll put our money into a nice safe 401K.

Thanks I didn't know these that about the publisher. But some people do/will believe it.

RSI Question
I’m learning to read charts and have seen posts expressing concern about the RSI today. If we take into account this sector’s historical developments and the excitement created by it, does an RSI above 80 mean all that much?
There is a dramatic increase in people wanting to invest into this sector and I wonder if this skews indicators like the RSI for predicting any stocks future movement.
On another note…
I’m having flashbacks to the dot com age when I rode a $.16 stock up to $7.00 within 6 months. Not making a prediction but it’s nice to dream.
I'm under the impression that the kiosk system is for the medical mj part of the industry, not recreational. Is this true?
If so this is no different that going to the pharmacy to fill a prescription for a controlled medicine like Ambien. Considering that I can spend up to half hour at walmart waiting to be served by the pharmacy, having a kiosk just sounds like a good way of processing customers faster and more efficiently.
More turn around more sales.
Am I correct about this?
Speaking about affording things. How the heck are they going to finance the GIFT program?????? I don't see it unless they are using a commercial leasing company. Any company can offer a leasing program if they partner up with a willing lender. But, there is no way that Phot self finances this venture.
That having been said, it's a great idea.
Oddly enough I'm having good feelings about today's PPS drop.
I've dabbled in penny stock since the .com days and observed an almost universal pattern of trading on the day that financials are due out.
The stock price usually spikes higher before the filing and then take a dive afterwards.
Does it make any sense the think that this pattern may play in reverse with Phot today?
I imagine that the financials would have to be pretty impressive for this to move dramatically but i'm just saying Hmmmmm to myself.
Playing Monday morning quarterback.
Looking back at last years shareholders meeting Zynga announced a program which built a platform for outside game developers to use the Zynga platform to publish online.
Having outside developers means you need less in house developers. Since game creation is the most expensive process in bringing a game to life outsourcing makes a lot of sense.
Assuming this program is baring fruit it's smart to cut personnel.
Look for more than 18% in the future. They are still bloated with personnel.
This can only make them stronger.
But, if online gaming doesn't generate income soon, erosion of PPS will continue. GMHO
UN says that recreational use of pot goes against international treaties.
What do you guys think?

News for 'ZNGA' - (*DJ Zynga, Electronic Arts Drop Lawsuits on Copyright, Hiring -Reuters) Got this from Scottrade.
Now that I read the complete filing it may be just a required ownership filing for the IRS. But it states that they own 6.p% of class a stock.
Morgan Stanley took a 6& possition today.

In addition: I can't find this issue mentioned anywhere in the proxy statement. If we're to vote on it why isn't it mentioned.
Have we had this same thing voted on in the past?
mike
Question on Proxy Vote?
Voting issue #5 05. "IN THEIR DISCRETION, UPON ANY OTHER MATTER THAT MAY PROPERLY COME BEFORE THE ANNUAL MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS OR ANY ADJOURNMENT THEREOF. "
I know this means we authorize them to do business before the shareholders meeting but what's the reason for it? My slightly skeptical nature raises a question of just what exactly are they planning on doing before the meeting?
It just seems a little wierd that they'd need a vote to approve performance of business before the annual meeting when the vote doesn't become effective until the meeting itself.
Confused in Florida.
Mike
Excel I can appreciate your point of view but I as well as you are very long with this stock. The MM's will play thier games that will only effect us if we sell. I've been with this stock since the 3D days and you longer. I don't thing either of us or other patient longs will suffer from a couple bullies in the sand box.
Once NVEI produces no MM will be able to keep it down.
Kindest Regards,
mike
