on august 29th. twice.
see post #4728 and #4729.
lol
"Patience."
"V"
yeah, but you're the talking 1.00 by 2010. I'm optimistic, but not delusional.
don't worry, i'm sticking with you and V. it should be a great ride, but a long one.
.80-1.00 range:
this will be an .80 stock again soon enough.
I thought they already bought the boiler. Where are they going to get the cash to buy it? and lease the office space in New York City and pay for the attorney's fees which have been racking up the past few months.
I don't see the price going up to .0018. It will go slightly down but remain stable for quite some time. This is a "long term" stock. Don't hold your breath waiting for .01 by the end of the year.
It should move once we get turd boy out of the white house and sustainable energy projects begin to get some funding.
The Charlie Bass connection will help tremendously.
yeah, I'm not seeing any Cargill news.
The only link is the energy conference they both went to last spring. Are they one of these 3:
"In other news, shipments to buyers in England are anticipated to get underway this fall and accelerate in 2008. Green Energy Resources has received 3 separate Letters of Intent (LOIs) dating back to 2005 for planned projects in the UK. Other shipments to Europe are already underway."
Refresh my memory:
Where did it say they have LOI with Cargill?
Is this who they're talking with in Europe? If so, you're right, this could be huge. The 3-5 month timeframe sounds about right too.
i mean it was in response to msg 767 noting "audited financials would be nice."
yes. agreed.
my desire for audited financials was simply in response to msg 766. audited financials for fiscal 2007 would be great, especially if 4Q is supposedly strong.
also, in the message previous to this one,
an "agreement with carill" is mentioned.
who's "carill?"
i think things are moving positively, though i am getting impatient.
contemplating increasing shares before stock dividend at the end of the month.
STILL WAITING on two things...
-2nd quarter financials (autited or not!). according to august 20th PR, "2nd qtr Financials should be released by the deadline date at the end of August."
i guess we missed that deadline.
-the other thing is this long-awaited shift to being "solicited." the paperwork was filed in April (i say late march, see the contradictory PRs from that time). either way, it was reported to "take up to 6 months" to process. an unbelievable amount of time, but we're already there. what is up?
enough Nostradamus/Back to the Future press releases about things way down the road. we'll never get there if we can't take care of the present.
Because murray has made good on his promises in the past and he maintains a healthy dialogue with investors willing to call or email him, I believe the lag on this NASD application is purely bureaucratic and not in his hands. they filed this in late march/early april, but since then NASD itself has changed. last month they were consolidated into FINRA. here's some info:
http://www.finra.org/AboutFINRA/index.htm
i believe in an earlier press release he forecasted late september for the solicited/unsolicited status shift. we won't be a pinky anymore and that's huge.
its also good to see the AIM listing is still alive. it was mentioned in a pr last year and kind of disappeared. murray's last statement at least provides a plausible reasoning for why it wasn't AIM listed and why GRGR is now more legit with an auditable system of accounting for its wood. the london board would be huge especially if it seems this is where most of GRGR's near-future business will taking place.
like the guy "Tom" says on the LLEG message board,
"Patience."
yeah, its Monday.
i can only imagine when we'll get Q2 results.
whatever.
yes, audited financials would be good.
but if we believe the numbers...
net income 2005: $154,451
net income 2006: $11,686
net income 2007: $124,081 (1st quarter alone!)
financials and profits are real this year, yet the price is aboout 1/3 or 1/4 of what it was last year.
the 40,000 tons is great news.
Q2 financials should be better. We know there's at least one shipment in there. I think you're right in guessing the revenue % will be higher with more volume.
these guys should hook up with Laidlaw Energy (LLEG). perfect synergy. just ask Tom "veritas" on that company's board.
anyone care to speculate on the price?
yes, i suppose we have 99 problems but a bit ain't one.
A pipe dream is a fantastic hope or plan that is generally regarded as being nearly impossible to achieve. The term derives from the opium pipe, and dates to the late nineteenth century when opium smoking was common in the United States. More specifically, the term derives from the euphoric optimism that is one of the effects of smoking high quality opium. Depending on how much opium is smoked, intoxication may last from eight to twelve hours. During this time smokers go through a period of euphoria followed by a more relaxed state of contentment and well being. Beginning in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, popular literature and music began using the term "pipe dream" to describe any idea or plan whose probable outcome would never reach initial expectations.
pipe dreams.
the assumption that this public hearing in eville will go smoothly is a mistake.
i'm guessing our shares get divied up 1.5 = a few months before anything substantial happens.
right veritas?
old pro, you're fain hughes. no way.
the ship is good. hopefully its packed with chips for the next seven years.
can they get the contracts tio sustain the contract?
we're still sub-.20.
SELL.SELL.SELL.
another sub-.20 day despite news. getting delerious...
didn't joe say we had reached the low last week?
old pro (and others):
I think texfinance71's questions and concerns are completely valid. I don't think he's a basher, rather, I believe he's a valuable skeptic for this board- a voice to temper the blind faith currently being posted. Your points about him being being a first-time poster or part of a campaign to attack the CEO are moot. They don't weaken his argument at all. The wild goose chase we've been sent on trying to locate the CEO and the company address is absurd. Now we're trying to locate a guy named "oliver" and asking custodians for info... c'mon. We get garbage press releases about the distant future way too often. When something newsworthy actually occurs (like the posting of Q1 financials...after 14 weeks) we don't hear about it. There's something wrong there.
The stock is .18 and trending in the wrong direction. Its becoming what 99% of pinks become. Nothing.
I'm not a basher. Far from it. I'm heavily vested and would like to see the company succeed. I'm just looking for a little more clarity as to what's going on. Each press release seeems to remain cleverly ambiguous. They should be forthright with the 2000 investors they've got. Shouldn't they.
Someone remind me why we're still in on this one...
yeah, its Monday.
i can only imagine when we'll get Q2 results.
14 weeks since they filed. "4-8 weeks or longer"
whatever.
Does anyone see the logical fallacy in this statement?
"1st qtr Financials were delayed being posted intentionally in an attempt to expedite approval from the NASD on GRGR's 15c211 application. The approval process takes 4-8 weeks or longer."
4-8 weeks or longer. Why even bracket off the 4-8 weeks if "or longer" renders it meaningless? This is the 13th week! and this is a tiny company. The application was filed "in April" (even though, in previous statements, they said it was filed in March.)
Don't string investors along. Its bad business.
Bass is on their board too? Are you sure you aren't talking about LLEG?
As much as i'd like to dis' the "son of GRGR," the mounting evidence of a non-existent NYC office disturbs me. What's with these sheisters? As far as I can tell, they didn't have an office when they had the software demonstration at the end of December. Check out the press release from December 18..."NEW YORK, NY--(MARKET WIRE)--Dec 18, 2006 -- Green Energy Resources (Other OTC:GRGR.PK - News) has moved the December 21st, 2006, UTCS software demonstration to 90 Park Avenue, New York City (17th Floor) to accommodate the expected turnout."
This was a total front. The turnout consisted of about 5 people! Check out the capacious meeting rooms on the 17th floor of 90 Park Avenue. If the real GRGR headqurters can't accomodate five people, there's reason for concern. The other comments on this board are correct though, fake office or not, they need to prove they've been making sales. We're waiting for first qurater results still? Come on, man. The 4-8 week timeline was completely bogus. They filed in March, not April. Check the presss releases from early April. How long can we wait? "Financials soon." Meanwhile, these dumb press releases about planting a million trees are becoming a joke. Be professional.
we're already halfway through Q2.
and we're at twenty-five cents a share.
WTF. we've been in decline mode for a solid year now. i hope it isn't a lesson to not give out a dividend. its been shitshow ever since.
a(long)calm before the storm?
the calm before the storm...
see post 423:
"There have been two shipments as per confirmed by management. I explicitely asked whether they were completely settled and as I understood one was completely settled (so should be included in this Q earnings.
A second shipment was underway. Management said more were to come. So all in all 1 should be added to both Q1 and Q2 earnings which does indeed mean rising earning as per 2006."
-Q1 results this week.
-solicited/unsolicited status by end of june (=8 weeks after early april)
LORTAP MACS,
would you mind educating me on the "whole new system" on the Pinks?
How specifically would it affect us?
How likely would it affect us negatively?
back the truck up.
i've been with this one since the NYIL days in '04. it won't be this cheap again. load up.
I read through some of the older correspondences on this post and was wondering:
1) What became of the SEC thing and the issue of people shorting this stock. (Specifically last September)
2) Someone mentioned GRGR doesn't need to be listed on the AIM Market anymore since the market merger-- is that true? could someone clarify?
The fiesty emails between CEO Joseph Murray and "Fishhead" in 2005 are hillarious. Personally, I met Murray at the end of the last year and he seemed to be a good guy. No BS. All of his statements have held up thus far and his responsiveness/ transparency is very encouraging. Another reason to buy/hold now.
I too had a .25 bid in all day with no action. Maybe we're just being cheap. We both intend going long on this one, so a few cents probably won't matter in the long run.
Maybe .26 or .27 tommorow.... Q1 results next week.
it would seem like if this were true, they would have rebounded by now by showing clear evidence of profits in '07. i'm still increasing my shares though. they're going for .25!
its odd that last year at this time the pps was 3 times what it is now (about .80). yet it seems the company is much better off now in terms of contracts, ships, poltical environment, development of software, etc.. additionally, they've continued to post profits throughout this period. perhaps the Q1 results will determine the trajectory for the rest of this "break-out year." I hope some of the $75-95 million dollar Turkish order has been shipped as well as the $10 million Austrian order. Log sales may factor in too. Unfortuntely, right now I'm just "hopeful" profits are being made.
the price of this stock has experienced jumps in april-may the past few years. result of Q1 reports?
i'm gonna guess there won't be a dividend this year since the price is so low. they should be busy buying stuff up right now.
this five month has been flatline oppressive. i'm long on this one (figuring biomass for '07 and co-firing for '08-'09), but stagnation is no good.
thanks meathead,
but see the dip as a positive thing.
buy now before the price explosion.
if there is one negative, its that i don't see any financials. maybe i should try to contact these guys directly.
GRGR averages one press release per week. Though most of the information is repeated, it is a reassuring sign.
When is the news of transactions going to come? You here about these contracts but nothing ever comes of them.
I don't know what you're talking about "no bids."
On GRGR?
I just made a trade.
What is up with this stock?
Since the rumors on this post all tend to be positive, anyone care to enumerate the negatives on this one?
Old Pro,
thanks for the summary.
I heard the reason this one dipped from .90 range to the current .30 range was because it failed to be listed on the London exchange as expected. This would hae been huge for the Euro-pro-biomass market. (Maybe they'll try again?)
This should be seen a buy-in opportunity though. We've been mired at .30 since november. I agree that all other indicators point up though. The comment that the Democratic Congress will put laws into effect "immediately" is a little optimistic, but their presence can only help. Further, nearly all the presidential candidates, Dem. or Rep., are running on an eco-friendly ticket(though I tend to believe the Dems more). Oil boy and Dick will be gone soon enough. The "pro-green" media environment around the campaigns could help in late '07 and through '08.
Hope to hear good news from this conference taking place today.
