the 247 host summarized the interview with MBB at the very end of the broadcast. from his "notes" there appeared to be no new info.
thutherin' thuckatash! this 247 website is a joke! hope MBB's conference call is closing another deal. i'd be in no hurry to get back online with this 247 guy.
political backing, yes.
from matilda (12/30/07):
yep! this from dec 21:Laidlaw Energy New York Biomass Project Receives Joint Support From New York Congressional Leadership
Laidlaw Energy Group, Inc. (OTC: LLEG) announced today that ten members of New York State's Capitol Hill leadership wrote Governor-Elect Eliot Spitzer on Tuesday in support of Laidlaw Energy's Ellicottville, New York biomass energy project and two other noteworthy New York biomass projects, The Biorefinery in New York and the Lyonsdale Biomass Facility. The signatories urged Governor-Elect Spitzer to fully include New York's abundant and renewable woody biomass resources as a key component in the new administration's comprehensive energy policy.
The diverse and bi-partisan Upstate/Downstate coalition was led by Congressman John M. McHugh (NY-23Rd) and Congressman John R. "Randy" Kuhl (NY-29th) and included United States Senator Charles E. Schumer, Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-27th), Congressman Maurice D. Hinchey (NY-22nd), Congressman Edolphus Towns (NY-10th), Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy (NY-4th), Congressman Gregory W. Meeks (NY-6th), Timothy H. Bishop (NY-1st) and Congressman James T. Walsh (NY-25th). The letter strongly urges Governor-Elect Spitzer to ensure that his energy policy embraces woody biomass technologies that "not only help design a more sustainable future, but also help reduce New York State's dependency on foreign sources of energy."
Strongly emphasizing the extensive existing scientific research from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry and others including the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, which clearly maintains that woody biomass resources have distinct technical, economical and environmental advantages, the signatories clearly recognized that CO-2 neutral woody biomass enjoys significant advantages toward reduction of the causes of global warming over fossil fuels like coal and petroleum.
The congressional delegation signer's highlighted efforts such as Laidlaw Energy Group's Ellicottville, NY biomass energy project for seeking to use sustainable and renewable thermal energy and electricity in an innovative combined heat and power project to create economic vitality for the New York State forest products industry.
Concerning Laidlaw Energy's Ellicottville project, the letter stated, "Laidlaw Energy & Environmental is an exciting project in Upstate New York. They have committed to strengthening the local economic fabric in Ellicottville, New York, where their re-powered renewable facility will directly put 25 local men and women back to work and will also help local truckers and forest products industry workers earn their livings. Laidlaw Energy & Environmental will also generate year round annual tax revenues in support of local government and public schools." Full text of the letter can be found at http://www.nyenrg.com/images/NYS_Woody_Biomass_Delegation_Letter. 121906.pdf.

Laidlaw Energy's Ellicottville, New York project involves the conversion of a natural gas fired power plant to utilize 100% clean woody biomass as its fuel source. It is the only power plant in the Buffalo area that is specifically designed to utilize woody biomass fuel. The project will create numerous economic benefits for the area and help improve air quality in the region by eliminating the production of greenhouse gas emissions known to effect climate change.
Concerning the delegation letter, Laidlaw Energy President and CEO Michael B. Bartoszek stated, "We are exceptionally gratified by the articulate and visionary support of this truly bipartisan group of congressional leaders. From Buffalo to Brooklyn, from the Adirondack North Country to the Allegany Mountains, all the way to the tip of Long Island, their message is clear and we at Laidlaw Energy are excited and inspired that our leadership understands so well the value of New York's homegrown, renewable and environmentally friendly woody biomass energy resource from New York's forest and farm communities. We sincerely appreciate and applaud the efforts of Congressman Kuhl, Congressman McHugh, Senator Schumer and the entire bipartisan coalition."
not to be mean, but it's as if Joe went to SUNY Siena. ooohh. Biomass investors might want to shift over to LLEG.
Just my opinion...
a pr with substance.
confirms my thoughts.
but when does that happen? late first quarter?
I believe Mosses are what grow on rocks.
I think you mean "Moses."
Will the PR be tommorow?
It would be wise of MBB to coordinate a Clinton visit to the newly approved Berlin plant. ribbon-cutting ceremony or something. if not before the primary, then sometime before November.
win-win for everyone involved, don't you think?
(except maybe jonedwards and John Edwards). lol
not completely made up, but close.
just read through the PRs from the past year and you see a whole bunch of "good news" on the horizon that never seems to come to fruition. there's no way to confirm any of the contracts so you're left with stuff about collecting christmas trees, cleaning up after hurricanes, capturing 20% of the european biomass market (and China's?), and optimism about high gas prices as an indicator of future business.
flimsy.
your chart is an amusing story.
however, LLEG longs are considering a much wider array of indicators, all of which are pointing straight up.
see you at the end of day tommorow.
OH YEAH!!!!!!
great news. thank you for confirming our positions.

Strong day, especially for a Friday.
Congratualtions to those of you with "Patience."
See you on the other side of the PR (next week???)!
thanks for this important update.
MBB is right. the fraction of a penny buying and selling here will be immaterial in a few weeks.
hold tight, see you in 2008.
yes, par for the course.
like i said, until we have the audited financials, this thing is gonna flounder sub .20.
the guy's dropped the ball a few times (though he has managed to get ships and new contracts). see you in may.
more like .0080 after the news.
but long term we're good.
CONSOLIDATION DAY.
this is all healthy leading up to the big PR.
get in and stay.
agreed,
it will be more important that the turds in e-ville will think twice before going the obstuctionist route again.
yeah, London is still way ahead of New York.
this will change in 2009.
at this point, root for Huckabee! lol
I wouldn't mess with the court cases,
at this point, everything MB has told us has been true,
i'll take his word the suits are going well.
Merry Christmas is right.
18,000,000 shares in half an hour
this stock kicks a**
it'll blow through .002 and test .003
with this news.
do people realize what is in front of them?
i welcome dissent,
yet it looks like we got thinly veiled pump-n-dumper in "EricaEuro." i agree with cyclone, go back to the turd stocks you have in your portfolio. lol.
nice try. how many million shares are you buying tommorow?
february at the earliest...
wonder if the clinton train will stop in Berlin...
MANCHESTER, N.H. - Hillary Rodham Clinton's backup plan if she falters in Iowa can be summed up in two words: New Hampshire.
Clinton's Democratic team is preparing television ads here criticizing Barack Obama's health care plan and working to build what campaigns call a firewall. If the Obama presidential campaign ignites in Iowa, she wants to be ready to cool him off in a state where her organization is strong and her support has proven durable.
yes, for the newbies on this site,
veritas has been here for some time. pay close attention to his posts.
healthy correction today, but long term we're golden on this one.
i agree with your predictions. the key here is the audited financials. essentially no one is buying the BS PR anymore. when we get legit word from an outside party the price will benefit. this is probably what has been holding back the uplisting as well. and the london AIM market.
my prediction? we can continue to add to our position in the .12-.20(max) range as people sell-off before the new year. the financials commence jan. 1. (finally). after that, (how long will they take?) we'll see a repeat of the 2005 stock price. it was in the same range as 2004 headed into 2005. in May it was selling over 1.00. there will be some sell-off after that, but long range we're sitting on a gold mine. we're beyond the point where the ceo can f' this up again.
yeah, check it at the close. maybe GRGR can partner up.
you'd be crazy to dump here. wait a few more weeks and see where we are.
the rest of the week should be really interesting.
word is getting out. spread the word to other boards (you can do that, right?).
get in before the next PR.
love the VOLUME.
60 million shares in two hours
gotta love it.
agreed. .002 is sooooo cheap.
wake up everyone!
resistance at .20- buying opportunity?
we're gonna destroy the 105 million share/day last week!!!!
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
anyone got an updated volume and price?
Etrade and yahoo are so ghetto
REDEMPTION.
got in just before take off.
funny thing is, this isn't even the BIG PR.
that one is will come in the next few weeks.
11,580,961 volume in the first half hour of trading
Thanks for the PM. And thanks for bringing my attention to LLEG months ago. Wish I could PM you back. I gotta get a real subscription.
Respect,
did you ever hear back from Michael B last friday? have you ever meet this guy? i'm just trying to get a read...
thanks.
"patience"
V
definitely. don't mean to bad-mouth this high potential green company. they're future is bright, but we've been waiting years now.
