yes, like the progress here.
though at times it's like watching paint dry.
been waiting, watching, for three years.
23 million, wow. i wonder if tom "veritas" still owns LLEG. he was said to have over 100 million shares, but seemingly flew the coop in the May- his last post was on 5/28/2009.
i hope he's holding/watching. he was a nice guy, really, and very informative.
still need volume.
agreed.
way too many blown "deadlines" to believe this one is "for real".
not a bash, just acknowledging historical facts. it will happen "soon" though.
link would be helpful.

can't please everyone, i guess. LOL.
interested to hear how meeting with Community EFSEC Advisory Committee went this evening.
that's awesome.
this is how philanthropy is supposed to work, despite what some of those on the Community EFSEC Advisory Committee may think.
I agree, but
is he cool with you posting the contents of his emails?
hope to see something this month
agreed.
any longs willing to share how many shares they own at this point?
i know some people have millions.
yes, though the higher trading volume to reinforce the cross isn't there yet. that could easily come from news of the filing though.
I'm interested to hear what the other 7 members think. We already know the turd mayor's opinion. In the end, it doesn't matter what they think because the State has the final say, but FWIW:
Mayor, David Bertrand= OPPOSE
City Council Members
Ward I
Ryan Landry
Lucie Remillard
Ward II
Richard A. Lafleur
Thomas F. McCue
Ward III
Mark Evans = SUPPORT
Ronald P. Goudreau
Ward IV
David Poulin
Timothy Cayer
As far as when it will be filed, I think the estimates of "before the end of the year" are way too conservative. The email correspondence Matt had with the environmental committee that met with Laidlaw in early August seemed to think it would be "any day now." Laidlaw typically releases PRs on Mondays- so next Monday August 31st (as I've stated before) is a distinct possibility. The following Monday, September 7th is Labor Day. So it seems Aug. 31, Sept. 14, or Sept. 21 are likely dates. Any later than that and Mike has blown yet another timeline estimate as it will clearly be after "late summer." I actually think we're past late summer, but...
Though they technically have no power, it's at least feasible that Laidlaw has held off filing until they've heard all of the input the committee can muster before they see an actual application.
It's an example of Laidlaw following through on their effort to "work with the city" even if they're simply listening to an advisory committee.

Could someone in town give me an update on what happened at this meeting tonight? My guess is that this is what is holding up the submittal of the permit application.
"Makaitis said he will review Peress’s changes and come up with a new statement of purpose for the committee to review at its next meeting. The next meeting was set for Aug. 27 at 4 p.m. at White Mountains Community College."

Thanks.
hopefully the CEO will answer all of these questions in the highly anticipated PR concerning the Berlin application.
any day now.
"Laidlaw has said it plans to file an application late this summer."
is September still summer?
you're right, rich. What was I thinking?
of course you have way more cred' than that lefty propaganda machine, the Berlin Daily Sun. always pushing an agenda!
This article shows Laidlaw is indeed working with the city.
The next meeting is August 27th, though I'm wondering if these meetings have any bearing on WHEN Laidlaw will file the permit application. They shouldn't, but the wording of this article is vague as to whether or not a filed application would help clarify the purpose/ concerns of the group.
Any thoughts?
agreed. anything to do with CP is just noise. Laidlaw CEO warned of this irrelevant "news" before it happened.
keep your eye on the target everyone.
wouldn't want to leave unbought shares after close on Friday.
Thanks again, Matt.
I "people marked" you.
yeah, i agree completely. i like Mike.
just wondering for records' sake.
BTW, i've been invested here since May 2007, has anyone been here longer?
just wondering, again.
do you have a schedule of when the O/S has changed? it has been holding steady for quite some time. i used to have a file with the dates and quantity of shares issued but i lost it.
good things are coming. don't know if it'll be tomorrow, but it should be "soon". i've been in this for well over two years and plan to HOLD through the next run. if the news is about the application filing, that means the permit is less than nine months away. i plan to hold my entire position at least through that.
good luck everyone. and welcome newcomers.
check out the chatter on LLEG
check out LLEG tomorrow.
Maybe August 31st.
The month of August (Latin: Augustus) is named after Augustus; until his time it was called Sextilis (named so because it had been the sixth month of the original Roman calendar and the Latin word for six was sex). Commonly-repeated lore has it that August has 31 days because Augustus wanted his month to match the length of Julius Caesar's July, but this is an invention of the 13th century scholar Johannes de Sacrobosco. Sextilis in fact had 31 days before it was renamed, and it was not chosen for its length (see Julian calendar). According to a senatus consultum quoted by Macrobius, Sextilis was renamed to honor Augustus because several of the most significant events in his rise to power, culminating in the fall of Alexandria, fell in that month.
completely agree. August will be interesting.
if something doesn't happen by the end of September, it's time to re-calibrate. I can only take quotes from Augustus and Iphone observations for so long.
BWAHH AHH HA HA!
for the record, i'm a long that hasn't been flipping- holding for over two years now.
would like to see a real sign of progress soon.
it reminds me of the chris rock bit on going to strip clubs during the day-- "tater tots and t*tties don't mix!"
