otherwise put, TANSTAAFEMR : ) em
I agree w/tulaz--kind of amazing to imagine what would have happened if MMRF had invented the technology earlier on. But then again, these banks would not have wanted to avail themselves of any actually responsible technology. Thank G*d for Simoniak. What utter evil is at work in this country.
If they'd just paid, they'd have to rely on D, so this is a much preferable means of payment at this time--and it's at a premium to market, compared to letting D in for more downward pressure. I don't have a problem with it. I'd like to know when Nihilent can sell, though.
sorry double post em
Any protections against hostile takeover? Just thinking, with all their assets and the sp artificially depressed by D, MMRF could look tasty to several different groups...tulaz, do you know anything about this kind of strategizing? I'm sure RL has taken this into account but if anything solid is known, it would be reassuring right about now.
Actively back-testing your posts...now *that's* impressive DD :)
And re not getting investors at this level -- he's at this level because of D! Is he not allowed to reveal that to investors or he gets zapped by their implanted electrode or something? D out of the picture, a few happy client PRs and some *contract*, *not* "plan/developing/project" PRs, and we're off. Those are what we need.
Guess it's a nice possibility, but I want solid accomplishment to be touted more than possibility (I agree w/EZ -- Countrywide? Seriously?).
I want to see happy medical practice client stories.
No, sorry - I'm speaking in the subjunctive -- "Wouldn't" -- meaning that if there were something that had already transpired to cause shareholders to have to get a bigger truck, as it were, it would have had to have been announced w/in 3 bus. days, not waiting for the next Q, I thought...waiting for Q for substantive huge news has pretty much never paid off, in my experience.
Aren't cos required to announce significant material events as they happen? Something from Favrille biotech would constitute a significant material event, wouldn't it?
um....ez....
I read that as a warning against expectations. Hate to say it but I think that's what it means. Esp. with postponement of MMRPro.
Now that's great, tulaz. Funny--I was reading the whole thing, line by line, thinking "why the heck isn't MMRF in this" and thinking it's exactly the thing they need to be in on...and lo and behold, 2nd to last line, there they are.
Please let's hear about anything that comes from this, Bob.
makes good sense, ez. MMR, do you see one of your biggest fans buying stock in another company rather than yours??!
ugh. sounds like a direct competitor. Not a huge sale, but I wonder what made them choose Digital Records over MMR...
MMR, do you want to PR any new contracts?
That's why the inst. inv. talks are so crucial, IMO. When we get out from under D, we can start to breathe.
Saw that potentially huge point too...could change everything.
Oh it's unique, I'll grant that. But not in a good way, IMO. I'd rather have dropped big actual names that are affiliated w/MMR to show size despite lack of name recognition.
Good, let's get started.
One note, if Bob happens to read this: I know he loves Kira and all, but in the *second* paragraph of a crucial PR, to spend it on who the spokesperson is?? Not the technology?? Who gives a d*mn about the spokesperson's name? I'd rather see the product's standout features clearly stated, and then further down, some namedropping of BOD members to establish credibility, and then *maybe* the last pgh of the PR, put Kira's name and the Emmys and such.
How many other serious cos. in this space will waste the most important paragraph of a PR to the medical industry (the intro pgh being just the intro--most folks expect to get to the meat in the 2nd pgh) on a spokesperson and free tickets to soap opera awards?? Really? I know he's supposedly a marketing genius, but if my practice were making a choice of which provider to choose, I would specifically rule out one that mentioned getting free tickets to the daytime Emmys in the second paragraph.
I hate to say this, but IMO this major opportunity to focus the industry's attention on MMR was diluted and blurred by love.
The few, the proud, the recalcitrant :)em
I don't do facebook -- can you please post a different link? I'd like to see them. Thanks.
This is really good to read; glad they bothered to explain.
Yep...like I said. em
I'm not osprey, but taking a look at it in a longer frame, it's interesting that in earlier declines, CMF didn't track the sp, but rather went against it. This time, it's tracking it, and w/the information EZ provided, my guess is it's due to Dutchess or other shorts.
Completely agreed. Fewer blogs, more real contracts, please.
That's appalling, EZ. Thank you for posting it. Maybe forward it to Bob so he can see the URGENCY of changing his funding arrangement?
The $$$ arrangements betw. RHL group and MMR do create a rather nice "place of abundance" before the company has ever really proven itself. Doesn't smell right. It might be just an inability to postpone gratification, but that's a problem, if at the expense of shareholders.
EZ, when you say "my" interview, is that your go-get-em voice doing the interview?
note to Bob: it's not "usurp", it's "surpass". But good interview.
Thanks, ruby--this line rang true:
One of the great American aspirations has been to be a doctor. Twenty years ago that meant someone had the time and financial incentive to truly take care of a patient. Today it means eight minutes (the average visit), and less money per hour than Joe the Plumber.
My family has generations of doctors, back to the Civil War and earlier. It's been a proud *vocation* in my family, a calling, not a 'job' or even a career. My 13 y.o. daughter wants to become a doctor, but I don't know what to tell her. The illness exploitation industry has made such a wreck of our healthcare system, it's ruined it for people who just want to help other people feel better.
Tulaz--it's still the future indicative.
I want the present perfect! It would be the perfect present : )
I would love it if Burkle could make Dutchess go away...hope B. doesn't mind having his name tossed around, though.
Tulaz, I can see ergo sum's point, just from a grammatical point of view, and as everyone knows, subtleties of verb tense *do* matter in a court of law, unfortunately.
Simply: the present indicative tense, a truth claim that is supposed to be effective at the time of writing, is not the same as the simple future, one that is *expected* to happen in the future but hasn't happened yet. He could have avoided all this if he said "MMR *will* increase 50% membership", but you can see how that truth in labeling would not have had the same punch.
I hope that he's got 49% and maybe even 50% now, but perhaps because I deal in language professionally, I too noticed that the PR's tenses did not match up. Why he chose to overstate in the headline and undercut the headline in the body of the message "is expected" to come clear soon.
exactement, bluesky :)
Hm, a self-proclaimed target number. If they don't meet this, he's got a lot of 'splainin to do...but if they exceed, they've just gone a long way toward proving themselves. The end of the month isn't too long to wait...
Clear signal @12:39 .06. driven down artificially em
That's truly fascinating...I wonder if there is any impetus for such innovative thinking to happen this time around. I get a sense of fatalistic short-term rapacious thinking from today's corporate world--witness the push to eliminate taxes on revenue from overseas--why? Because they realize the US is used up as a market and they're shifting their focus elsewhere. No longer-term investment in the good of this country. Corporation uber alles.
Hear Hear -- and Ingrid S. *bought* @.093. The amounts sold are also *significant*. Perspective!
looks quite impressive...em
Thanks for that link, tulaz --
and alternet? I'm impressed. Did you stumble on it or do you visit regularly?
Tulaz, could you write Janie Tremlett (and Mary Pratt), letting them know what the topic of their next articles should be? What more perfect opening could there be to promote MMRF's uniqueness?
LOL you're so right em
WOWZA. Congratulations, Bob! em
