I don't think I would want to live there, way too expensive. I guess if one has the funds, but there are many things that we have here in the USA that we take for granted.
Example, the auto tax is 100%. I saw what I would say was a $90k Ford F350, it would be double that plus gas is around $8 a gallon. Food is pricey as well.
They are not a wealthy country to some extent.
One odd thing, litter was everywhere. Cigarette butts on the Mount of Olives caught me off guard. Everyone rolls their own cigarette, or most did.
Also, a little tidbit. It means nothing but it sure caught me off guard and I was not quick enough with my camera. I even tried to Google map it one press at a time.
I saw an oil well pump going south on hwy 90 from Ben Sheit, east side of the road, no more than 25 ft or so. I am 100% sure. It did not seem to be operating and was right off the road. Odd, believe me as I grew up seeing them. Was it a cool decoration? It was not rusted out that I remember.
Here is what it looked like, but smaller:
What it was for? I have no clue other than to pump water or something.
To stand in the synagogue that a 30 year old Christ schooled the Pharasies in was just awesome.
Went to the Golan heights and traveled through the West Bank as well...Israel is very small compared to the US.
I felt very safe, even walked through Jerusalem to the Shrine of the book. Also saw the archeological portion of the museum.
I said howdy to many folks, most just looked at me, but many said hi.
I was nervous going, but now I feel I was over worried.
I would go back, but not with a tour. I want time to look around.
We celebrated our 30th Anniversary driving up the coast. There was one other couple doing the same 30 year thing.
I hope to see return someday.
After being there, it explains some things to me. Especially the kibbutz. Zion must walk a fine line. Christians are not well received unless spending monies. It would be hard to be Christian there , more so as an Anglo.
The culture is generally rude but not all were. I was a bit taken back. Learned a lot, there is strife between the different sects as well.
Absolutely worth it, 8 days of fast-paced sights....
Yes some were East some were north east, tough to get while riding but it does stand out, even from the road.
Bullpucky!!
And just like that you prove you haven't a clue. 3000 years?
So you really need to check on your dates pal.
Nonetheless, it really is up to what God wants, it's all in His hands.
Spoiler....it's roughly 2000 years for the scrolls, it tends to prove the Word has been preserved.
Ah if we only knew whom the scrolls were meant for.
Good try, but nadda.
I have eyes and a brain.
I guess it doesn't matter as we all know who wins in the end. Znog is irrelevant to that fact, yet it's on His timing, not ours.
The battle was won on a tree.
Kind of like they could be a target of something no?
Well, its an interesting thought about said license. Why do they not have it yet?
I wonder if folks understand the politics at play in Israel? Regardless of whether the oil is there or not? Israel is not a wealthy country so to speak. I have said before that it is mostly secular. I was wrong, its about 35% or thereabouts.
So where was He buried? church of the Holy Sepulchre or the Garden Tomb?
Ah what a fascinating place.
That makes sense because I was looking for the same.
Hence, at least we know that greater than 50% is owned by a least one whale.
No 13g either.
Hmm. I would guess not a person but an entity, an entity that could have taken over last year but did not. Interesting.
Yes Tisdal, you are correct, if not for this whale, we would be done. I have said there are deep pockets that want Zn to fail, hence what you see posted all the time. However, there is something that wants to see success.
I am not worried about the Israeli government license because of this.
That is my opinion only. Investing in this at this point would be crazy. No information to judge the technicals.
Then again, the whole darn market makes no sense.
Crazy world.
The whale(s) is/are back? Hmm I did not read that from it but I am no expert on these things.
I do think I have a good idea whom it/they are. If it was a company or individual then a 13g would tell us. Since we don't have that, there is but only one choice left.
MJ1 (B) now at least seems to have some logic.
I will still hold.
As for the permit, I answered my thoughts on that below. We have no clue what is going on at the higher levels in government.
Well, first they used the new technology on MJ2, unsuccessfully. So it's not illegal, it was allowed.
2nd - it's not fracking in the sense most would think. Water is not required like it was in the old way, so the potential damage is far less.
You have no idea what the government will do, so quit saying you do. Decisions change all the time.
They said they went back and looked at data from MJ1 and then reapplied.
Anything else?
Almost like it's a job.
I can't really argue with you. I'm kind of in the same boat. Except that I will not invest any more money.
People hate it for many reasons, ,and people like it for many reasons.
I have no way to look but I bet I would give ya a run for your money...:)
You just don't know how funny this is.
Now that is funny. The really neat thing are those that post on multiple boards. They forget each other at times and when it happens, it's hilarious.
Kinda like extremely funny that ol lucky was forgotten. I remember him and for the reason you posted.
It's why research of any detail will not make it here.
Well, in the fact they do not have commercial oil (yet) you are correct.
I enjoyed my conversations with him. I know he was not in good health so I hope he is OK.
Thing is, way back then it was a gamble just as it is now. Wildcating is a rough way to go.
However, Givot showed oil is there, of course Zn is not drilling in the Meged field, but there is a Meged field and that's the point.
If this company did not have that mission statement, a lot of the angst towards them would not be present. Then again, I probably would not have invested either.
Afek was there, and others but it is not the same.
Nathan - if your reading this. Hello and hope you are ok.
Accepted.
You know who.
For those that have been around a long time, remember Nathan?
At least he had class, hated the stock and company. Not sure if he was part of it.
So many are asking what the heck is Ryan talking about?
Ah, wouldn't I like to post it.
I guess some on the hoo will start on me again. I have big shoulders.
Yes there are folks that want this company's death. They do not care what it costs.
Why? Well read the mission statement, use a little ingenuity and you can figure it out.
Some here already know...
Shalom.
They might be making a little here and there but that is not the purpose.
Bias is to destroy the company. Ongoing for years now.
It's documented elsewhere. Interesting thing is my theory was confirmed at least to me with the transition to the OTC. It didn't stop.
Of course the company doesn't understand offense only defense.
One can win a Superbowl with a top3 defense, but they still have to put points on the scoreboard.
It was not directed at you, I think your just a very mad stockholder as many of us are.
Motives for others are money and an bias.
Question I have is the reverse, the are those here to post nothing but negatives. Why? For a 7 cent stock?
Motives, that's why.
I am around just tired of the censorship and daily posts about how ignorant those znog stockholders are.
I understand their game well.
So what's the point?
And yet, ExxonMobil has how many in the land of Israel.
One does protest too much, that is obvious. The question is motive.
I almost bought more at 5 cents, but sticking to my guns for now. Don't worry lost on my other stock as well whereas I could have made some on Zn for that purchase.
Don't read as much anymore, it causes undo stress. Just patiently wait for Israel to decide what to do with Zn.
Have a great weekend everyone including you know who.
Hey thanks for those details. I never read that. I guess being close keeps one up on the local news.
Still, as a company Givot is not a model, you are correct. Yet, they did struggle and produced over 1 million barrels of light sweet crude with lets say 'dated' technology.
It is funny, with some folks there can be no good news just bad.
If one wanted to be technical about it, the Meged field is not very close to MJ1, heck I believe the Golan is closer, but yeah no oil is there as some have been saying. Same was said with Givot.
Yeah, share price is crap, I know as I own some.
Exactly,
We have the old p numbers, but they are useless.
There is oil there......how much and what can be recovered is the question.
Exploration sucks, Givot found it and sold it and has a production license. Zion is still stage 1.
Happy Father's Day to everyone.
I guess anything is possible. Zion could also just rent the rig out to them..
Givot found light sweet crude, over a 1 million barrels of it. They HAVE a production license already. They just ran out of funds and the technologies where not quite ready. I think it was Meged 6 that was at one point 800 barrels a day.
I did a lot of reading on them and saved the materials on my site. It was eye-opening to say the least as they did 'frack' in some sense.
Just north is the Golan. The layers of interest there are some 300 feet thick??
Interesting times indeed.
Yes, in a land that only Givot has had somewhat a success. It is a different world there.
Did everyone catch the 12 million barrels comment? I did not know that Givot had that much. I know they produced over 1 million barrels before funding failed.
How much of their 30 year production license is left? 20?
Interesting times for sure...
Agreed. They have been clamped shut since the lawsuits and SEC Pandaization.
At least now their is some hope for a little offense. Money is the largest factor now that the whale(s) are silent (at least I think they are). No matter, we would not be here if not for the whales(s).
Still that Pxx number is important as the drill log well pics did not scream out great things.
Still, that was one of John's BEST emails since 2007.
Tisdal, when he mentioned Givot, that said it all really.
The oil is there, Givot ran out of funds. However, they own a production license and that means they could drill again someday.
I am glad he sent the email and addressed some of the issues.
Lawyers ruin most things they touch in the real world but that is the society we live in.
Agreed, actually it should have come out in 2018/19 timeframe.
I tend to agree with most of this.
I tried to comment but...
Anyhow, thanks KyOil.
Zzzzz
Broken record
Well I had comments, but watch the meeting. It is worth it.
Agreed.
The whale(s) are not there as of yet.
Zion Oil has better fill us shareholders in, I didn't think the dspp would be that small.....
Not good.
