Hey Flat,
i could go back and fourth with you all day,
here is what I learned I did three production deals with Penny Stock Companies this year.
1, I took stock for services, never do that again...
2, and just because a person knows how to raise money, doesn't mean they can make a good CEO and run a company
one company was worth 8 million just year ago, "gzfx"
another got 20 million in funding last year "tgle"
those two with 4 to 5 times the money RRGI raised are all now in worse shape.
I am going JetSkiing
Thanks for your response. I have been in my business for 10 years, a life time in Video/TV production as an independent.
In this business the most important thing you can have because there is so little of it is your integrity.
That's why I made sure my post were objective and specific to what I knew from my experience.
I know a lot of people on this board who lost a ton of cash, and it sucks, especially since 'everyone agrees' that it's a cool concept.
The tour will be fun.
I wouldn't want your job, making a 'living' off of stocks, hell that is worse than making a living off of TV... I think... and it really sucks when it's one and the same.
CYA
Those statement were based on generalities in the TV business and statements provided by RRGI website and press releases at the time.
If in fact they would have continued their production, they would have had an extended season.
And of everyone agreed, that even re-runs as I stated in my post was better than not airing at all.
Gee re-runs on Stock was 3 cents no shows on air stock at .07
So I guess like I said I prefer to see the show on Re-Runs or not.
Thanks for supporting my post
The WRA was a Roller Derby Concept that was brought by an agent to Skip Fredricks at his then offices in FL. Skips program XSTV was airing on FOX Sports Net as it's number one rated extreme sport program.
Skips company was brought into the WRA project to 'extreme it up' 'take it out of the 50's and move it into the 90's.
After making the WRA 'extreme' Skips company invested money in the project.
Yes the project never go off the ground.
But that is how the entertainment industry works. Movie and TV are the highest risk investment you can make. Movie studios and producers loss millions of dollars every week. But one show or movie can make up 100 times that loss, isn't that why we all invested in this, the reward out weighed the risk?
So, Skips company just wrote it up as a loss, "good idea" "bad timing" and moved on.
Once again contacted by RRGI about 5 years later out in CA. Skips company was asked to 'extreme up' RRTV. And actually did the promotional trailer.
Skips and his company ended all communication relative to RRGI when he resigned in Oct of last year and returned his substantial amount of stock. Note at the time the stock was trading over a dollar.
PS: it was not the Go-Karts, it was the 'talent' "LOL" "IMO"
and again just cause you say I'm Skip doesn't make it so, could be, could be a brother, sister, employee friend. Don't see you putting up your 'real name'
And the only reason I post once in awhile is that I have a job, life, family and friends all way more important than sitting on this board all day, and bitching, moaning, specualting or posting rumors and half truths.
Thanks,
As we all believed or would not have invested in, the concept is as good as any Reality Program on TV.
Better than, "anchor women" on FOX which aired just once and has been cancelled.
Gee,
If being involved means your company was going to be hired to create or produce a program or that you thought a project / concept a good investment and put money into it. Then I guess everyone on this board at one time or another was a 'pal' of the Schaefers
Skip doesn't know Del.
Wow. I go on tour at the beginning of the month and come back and 'RRGI what a mess'.
Once again commenting only on production. And I see it time and time again out here in LA. Is just because a person or company has the money to produce TV and the people who run the company or have the money 'watch TV' they 'think' they can do TV. A sure path to production failure.
Like most I am extremely disappointed in Reality Racing TV, what a great concept.
Hey Koda, why bring up Skip Fredricks? He has had nothing to do with any RRGI production(s) since he turned back in his 12 million shares and resigned last October. Why would Randy Duncan 'know or not know him'? Skip Fredricks is working on his movie Wave Riders and his Video Streaming site iClipx.
Anybody out in LA in production and anyone on the Jetski Tour knows that.
Now, I am gone again today.. to Pahrump NV (yes they race jetskis there an then to Nashville for finals
Great Post cal6
Guess it was no BIG secret after all, no big conspiracy after all, guess if our resourceful board members who come up with 'stories' would have just gone over to the SPIKE site, there listed for ALL the World to see. Was the show schedule and what it was about, ie; Re-Runs
This is not 'IMO' this is based on my experience working with FOX, ESPN, FX and USA.
Re-Runs:
Cable Networks re-run programming all the time. The X-Games which last for a week are re-run a dozen times after the airings. Greek which is airing on ABC right now, is re-run a week later on ABC family. In todays media market place. with 'time shifted' viewing, 500 cable channels and the internet, re-runs do not hurt viewer-ship and some times help, as people who have not seen the show before, 'discover it'
Re-Runs "Extend the season" RRGI has a 13 episode run, that would normally be 13 original shows, if they have a 'standard network contract', the Re-Runs would turn RRGI season into a 15 week run now and give us more chances to pick up new viewers. IMO I prefer to see the show ON THE AIR longer Re-Runs or not.
If SPIKE was NOT selling their ad spots in the show, they would cancel it before showing a re-run. (based on contracts that I have been involved with, the producers have NOT had to pay the network when they air re-runs) So the program MUST have viewers to satisfy the 'up-fronts' that SPIKE sold their sponsors on.
TV programs are re-run all the time, that does not mean, they will not have a second season, that does not mean the company that produces the show is going out of business, it just means it is business as usual at the network.
I could only hope SPIKE keeps the program on for another 13 weeks. The longer the program stays on the air, "re-run" or not, the better it's international sales will be, (International Markets like to buy programs that are on the air) and like I said before in the international market Reality Racing is an Emmy winner compared to programming in Bolivia, or Chile, or Latvia, where they don't even have cars.
Del Weston, I do not know him, but he is a well respected director in LA, he puts on the Long Beach Film festival. Posting rumors about him and his relationship with RRGI, when none of you have any facts is way out of line.
Editing problems could be 'ANYTHING' a broken tape, a bad word that got through the process, a problem with a contestant, ANYTHING
I don't know how many websites you have worked on, I have four, it is a lot easier to advertise on a website then to up-date.
When you up-date you deal with FTP, HTML, and can cost as much or more than placing a simple banner ad.
What I like is RRGI could really 'target' the core demo of SPIKE and specifically of SPIKE at 9 am and for very little cash.
First I agree about my Sea-Doo it tops out at almost 80mph on water.
However if you go to the mini-cup site, you will note a whole Super Stock Hi Performance Division for Adults, and even an over 40 series.
Those races are not for kids. And I am sure if you posted your comment on their site, they would "hunt you down"
It's easy too, Just advertise on the Website. You have to be a member to race. And you get your membership from the website, and the Mini Cup Finals are held at ... You guessed it, Bronson Motor Speedway, in FL
Finally some thing more to the point
I won't argue on the 'perception'
Just distinguishing the facts.
With such a huge competitor base. RRGI should target that organization, for both viewers and contestants.
Mini Cup Cars are NOT Go-Karts and statements to the contrary show a sever lack of the knowledge, research, and understanding of the product.
They are entry level cars for those wanting to gain experience or learn how to race stock cars.
Additionally there are 500 races per year with 1000's of drivers who compete, most of them are 14, the EXACT demographic of the SPIKE TV viewer at 9-am.
The Mini Cup series is taking very professionally in both the Sport, NASCAR and in it's TV coverage.
Having Mini Cups make great sense in terms of Safety, Training, Marketing and in SPIKES core demographic.
Source: NY Mini Cup Club:
The Western New York Mini Cup Club Race Cars are 1/2 scale NASCAR NEXTEL Cup and BUSCH style real race cars. These Mini Cup cars have almost all the same adjustments and components as a full size stock car with its camber, caster, toe, panhard bar, break bias, a full roll cage, fire wall, fuel cell, and more.
Western New York Mini Cup Club is The club that gets you started on the right path to full size stock car racing. Here are some examples; Cup Light, Super Stock, Late-Models, SST Modified, ARCA, BUSH, and NASCAR.

Tom Roche of Lakeland, Florida. Tom liked what he saw and decided to make his mark in minicup racing. His first big contribution was to fashion a professional quality fiberglass body for this new car. The new bodywork was a big hit – especially when Tom took his car to Daytona International Speedway for Speedweeks. This exposure gained a new friend for minicups – Terry Linger of Linger Group Productions. Terry was producing racing shows for ESPN and wanted to put minicups on TV. After a special appearance on "Raceday" minicups became a regular on "Saturday Night Lightning" on ESPN competing at the Indianapolis Veledrome.
Because, despite what our elders say on this board. People do come to this thing to 'check out' stocks. I did and so do some of my friends and if share holders are also 'owners' then it's more than just management that is screwed up, wouldn't you sell?
Also, if someone is selling then someone is buying? Who would that be?
Here if your interested in my schedule.
Hitting the road now!!! CYA in late September!
Now that you have my schedule you will have an idea about when my next post is coming.
As you can see, it puts me home in July, no conspiracy just the schedule, oh my god, unless the Surf & Turf Championship series has RRGI stock :) & are part of the fellowship (lol)

You asked me that 3 months ago before I went on tour.
So, here is my same answer, I don't have to tell you who I am, that is the point of the board. The ability to say 'anything' true or not, and not have to answer for it.
and that is my final answer.
Hey I don't hide,
I have a fun job and a great life and it does not include sitting at a computer all day and night posting X-File conspiracy theories.
Hey!! Everyone!! Back for 24 hours from a two month road trip. I'll be gone again for two more months, tomorrow.
This board is like the war. Nothing said here will change anyone's perception of the company, whether good or bad.
But I want to throw in my 2 cents or a I guess one share of stock, since they are about worth the same to take on some production statements made on this board.
1. RR is NOT an Infomercial. Yes they do pay for time, however in this business it is called 'Cash/Barter'. With that kind of deal you pay an 'airtime fee' and the network gets half or more of your advertising time to sell THEIR clients.
How do I know this? and how can you know this. Infomercials are listed in your cable guide or TV guide as "Paid Programming" and NOT with the shows Title. RRGI "is" listed as Reality Racing in cable and TV guides. Infomercials DO NOT have 'Network Promotions' or advertising in them, just advertising for the products that the infomercial is selling. RR has SPIKE promos and network advertising.
2. UFC, WWE, Arena Football, pay for their airtime, and so do dozens of other independent produced programs. It is how the cable companies do business and how they have been doing it since at least 1997.
3. Sometimes, Its is a better deal than having the network pay you for the show. Because the Company OWNS the 'Copy Right and Trademark' of the show, which, if the show is somewhat successful can be worth more in international and internet syndication, then what a cable network will pay for the show. This show after its run of 13, can be sold into international markets by RRGI and they get to keep all the money, and compared to some of the programming in India, or Brazil or Bosnia, RR is at least just as good.
4. ReRuns, according to RRGI they have a 13 show contract with SPIKE. well now we just got an extra airing out of that contract, so maybe the program picked up some viewers, and as we know, the demographic of SPIKE would not be RRGI stock buyers, but more airings over more weeks can equal more viewers, So by airing a Re-Run we get a 14 week run instead of a 13 week run. Any more airtime is better than less airtime. Networks do midseason Re-Runs all the time to try and bring in new viewers to a program and extend the programs season. a Re-Run in mid-season is actually not called a Re-Run, but a" Repurposing" Re-Runs don't happen till the show airs its last episode.
5. SPIKE CHOSE to Re-Air RR. Usually a producer does not PAY FOR a Re-Air " I don't know if RRGI does or not. If RR was not doing good in it's time slot, then SPIKE would of Run any of it's other programs like UFC or something. So, no matter what the reason, 'delivery problem' on the RRGI side, it would have given SPIKE an opportuity to cancel RRGI and SPIKE didn't, which means SPIKE is selling sponsors into this show and it MUST have viewers. So now, if RRGI could/would get an agency to rep RR maybe they could sell some advertsing spots too.
6. Time Slot: Who says 9 am is a bad slot. Take a look at your cable guide and see what the other networks are airing at that time. There is a lot of quality and big name cable programming that airs at 9 am on Saturday mornings.
7. Notice that the IR guy also is a film and TV producer. "interesting"
8. Oh and I am not making any excuses for management. Information about the Re-Air should have come out before Saturday as curtsey to the investors and to prevent all this speculation and rumor. A crime? Hardly! Bad management?
I really am packing right now, so the computer goes off, I am not responding too, nor do I have the time, "I have a job" to sit on this board and follow the drama.
Well that's my 2 cents or one share of stock or 1.9 cents ....
The BEST post EVER on this board!
NOT INVOLVED AT ALL.
I am traveling, I got a few phone calls as to my relationship with RRGI.
First I don't have to tell anyone on this board who I am.
2nd I do have 1st hand knowledge of Skip Fredricks.
He wrote a treatment with and for Reality Racing three years ago.
He used his contacts in Hollywood to set up meetings with RRGI's board and those MAJOR industry contacts.
He shot video footage and edited some segments that would be later used as a 'promo clip' for RRGI
That footage was purchased by RRGI
That is what he does, he is a producer for hire and works with all networks and websites and film students. If you don't believe that just 'google' his name
He resigned over one year ago from the RRGI board to pursue a film he is doing on Jet Ski Racing. For which is why he moved to Cali over 8 years ago, and to which he has been pursuing for those 8 years
He is now traveling with the Jet Ski Tour, filming... You can look that up on-line too
He dream was to make movies not 'Reality TV Shows'
He has had NO CONTACT with RRGI board members as it relates to ANYTHING about RRGI.
Wave Runner happens to know a lot about production and has only posted comments that are SPECIFIC to production, not to RRGI, the Stocks, or the Board of RRGI.
What I did find amazing about some on this board as how the flagrantly slandered the board of RRGI, without any kind of proof.
I hope the stock does good, I hope the show does good.
I am busy
Good Bye
My 2cents
The show was better. Editing and Continuity was better.
it is better without the girl host. The guy was much better on show 2.
Reality Shows don't really have 'hosts' doing interviews, it's mostly the contestants
talking to the camera, like they were talking to the 'you/the viewer'.
They blew a hugh opportunity to create 'drama' when they did not jump all over, the crash and the guy getting all 'pissed' off and arguing with the other racer.
They should have 'egged' him on.
Challenges, how about a 'pit crew competition, so who can change tires faster, pump fuel faster, fill up a 'coke' and give it to the driver,
Everybody should stay on till the very end, then the points totaled, then at the end of the show, the guy gets kicked off, and the other one gets to drive against Jay.
Also have the obstacle course first, and then have their pole positions determined by their times.
And as to the comments I read consistently on this board bashing the fact that if the hit Jay, or the Wall and crash the car, that they are out of they get disqualified.
Guess what, if you hit the wall, or crash into another car in NASCAR, "your out of the race, you get no points cause you get a DNF...Cause you wrecked your car and you can't finish...Dah!
They should have Pit Girls, Flag Girls etc...they need to be 'Carmen Electra Clones' and they don't need to talk.
it only comes on at 6:30am if you have Direct TV as they take the East Coast Satellite feed from SPIKE and air it across the country.
Thanks a lot.
Website is key for promotion and cheap way to promote.
An they should have a more active myspace account and a YouTube account.
How cool it would be if they let the contestants set up and put up their own YouTube Video's
But it's not just an RRGI problem, a lot of old media thinking companies still don't ge tthe 'web' and lets face it Lee's defiantly OLD media...LOL
CYA
Been working for the last few days, 15 hour days.
Have not read all the post since Wed that I missed.
But noticed a lot of people posting, about this weekends show, How many people watching, How bad or good or how much stock will be sold after weekend.
It is a freaking major travel holiday this weekend, biggest travel holiday for families, also biggest 'get away with the guys and head to the lake holiday.
NO ONE will be watching RRGI or any other TV shows this weekend, and if they did not travel somewhere, then they are going to see Pirates of the Caribbean, Shriek or Spiderman. That is why all the TV programs ended this week,
And since show 2, I have heard is like Show 1, that all might not be a bad thing.
Now next week, when everyone is home and broke, the show should do pretty good, and I heard show 3 is ACTUALLY good.
Now Reality Shows and how to pick them.
You would think that Steven Speilburg and Mark Burnett (Survivor Apprentice) could produce a hit, and following iDol even RRGI should be a hit. But 'On the Lot' with a 26 million iDol lead in on Wed, only got 8 million of those viewers, and by the second half hour only had 6 million of those, there is already talk of cancellation.
What does that mean about RRGI, it means 'Who really Knows What is going to work. And if RRGI out lasts 'On The Lot', is LEE a better producer than Steven Speilburg,
"not" but in th end it doesn't matter to the viewers who produced it.
Just if it was dumb enough to understand
As for me tomorrow I'll be in Havasu Jet Ski Racing.
CYA
Have good weekend and for god sakes get out and enjoy the holiday
Got to run, Work to do,
But I agree with all your points except for cleavage, "there can never be enough" (as you pointed out remember the demographic "young male" ) and i don't think SPIKE will pull it. Since it is only a 13 run, if they were doing a 22 or 26 and the 'program didn't address some issues, but with a 13 run, over the summer, they will give it a full shot.
And i really agree with your 'age' statement everybody except Jay, and the two host are 'too' old for the show..."on this network" on TNT or Turner or even ESPN, the 'older' people would not be as big a factor. But SPIKE really has very young male viewers.
On ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX... Yes
On CW, MyTV, or cable like SciFi, USA, FX, SPIKE, ... No
That is a good point, even crappy TV makes money.
All points on making the show better are very good.
but no one has said this yet. All they have to do is one thing. and the show will be a hit. Give us more crashes, lots more crashes, into the wall, each other, into the infield. My friends watched it cause they figured a bunch of amateur racer would crash. Okay so crashing the full size cars would cost money, so crash the 'karts' it would be just as funny.
And since it is a Reality TV show, "where nothing is really "real" ... You could "set up" cars and drivers to force a 'crash situation'
It works for Maximum X, Americas Funniest Videos (which by the way, and come on now, that show sucks, and the production quality is only as good as the people who send in footage)...
And Crashes make the news.
That might be easier than trying to 'create' more challenges...
You have to look to trade papers, and local papers say in Florida
search www.topix.net put 'Reality Racing' in quotes ... You'll then find any articles posted to any publications website
They Don't rate non-broadcast morning shows. The look at time blocks.
I have a friend in the east coast that Produces Live Events "ie": the Super Bowl for one. and has many contacts & networks. East Coast SPIKE 9pm time block was 'way up'.
But as I always post 'fair' ... As I think of course it posted up. Every single investor, and their friends and so-on where watching.
As for the show, it will take 4 to 6 episodes before we really see where it is going.
It will always sell in International Markets, that happens after it airs in U.S.
I also think every suggestion I have read about 'tweaking' the show have been fantastic.
You should all be producers, and I guess as share holders you are.
Really great ideas, and agree 'your overview here' could make a very good outline for the show.
I agree, two types of female host, you either get the one that is 'good looking' but is an expert in the field, ie: Danica.
Or go the other extreme and get a Pamela Anderson, "the bigger the better" and wearing a lot less clothes.
This female host is no expert and no, Carmen Electra
Yes, I actually have several 'Video Accounts'
and will be posting all kinds of stuff from the show, I TiVo'ed it and will pull the recordings.
I also sent an email to RRGI and offered to post the videos if they sent me clips...
Thanks, but I know what I know, but Scotch he knows something about everything. I like his posts more.
But thanks,
:)
The best post ever!!
Agree, Agree and agree.
They also need the female to be a little more combative, like take a 'side; and give Burke a hard time.
And Lee should only come on once, to say "hit the road' (like Trump & Your fired)
it is a young network and RR needs Younger competitors and Judges...
Good point, I take it back, and should say, 'has been' However in the 'industry; he is a well known producer.
I agree with everything you said, and really like the car race simulation, go one further, the kids/gamers will love it and let them race head to head, video game style..
Usually the advertsing deal is a 50/50 split, even if you buy the air time.
