I think I remember that as well. Our company did the same in May because the cost of air freight was better than the container situation. Expediting the order by air helps with the necessity of the timing too.
Hey team. My guess is that it might have something to do with the availability of containers / cost of containers. I import from China, although these are coming from Thailand. Companies all over the world regardless of origin are having a difficult time just getting the container. Nothings been said about the quantity size of an order, but having a reasonable cost to get it to the US is unfathomable right now. ( To give folks an idea - Last year when the company quoted to price the mirror at 699, the cost of a 40' container from China to Florida was 5500-6,000. Now the cost is 20K-22K for the same container.) And, It's getting the container scheduled for the freighter ship, not just the cost that's making it difficult to import. I live in south Fl and import and I'm experiencing these difficulties in our business for the past 4 months. Its the freighter ships and the middle men scheduling the containers that have raised the costs. Some of the freighter ships have gone out of business and many have lost employees. The San Diego Port still has over 30 ships outside the port waiting to be called in to unload. We have 5-10 freighters anchored off the beach every day in Ft. Lauderdale waiting to be brought into the port. The factories have plenty of product ready to ship but there's no containers avail at the sources for the freighter ships and the costs have tripled in freight. Just 2 cents of import info here for those that don't know.
Hey rvd. I go back with you to the time when Howard U. acquired the company from Bart F.
Hey U. I'm still here too. One of the original group. I bought in soon after Howard first acquired the souvenir company. The name changed multiple times after that.
Hey Team - With so much volume in the last week, Can we get some input? Has anyone here been picking up shares at the new buy .40-.80 buy in. Or is it new retail buyers?
From what I can see, there was only 1 sell yesterday at .07 and today there was only 1 buy. I was online exactly at the buy time and noticed the price fluctuating between .09 and .11 after the volume number was in place. No sales or volume today since that 1 buy.
Possibly Stewart's neighbor that bought in that has no idea about the past. LOL. Its now been steady since earlier at .07-.09
Hey. Been watching some quotes this morning and while looking at my stocks, I noticed a nice buy with Capc. Started watching it and noticed that the MM is playing games. It was a good buy in but the mm is fluctuating numbers so be careful if anybody does anything today.
Buchro,
I don't believe that the drop in the smart mirror sales is due to Covid. Online sales took off and surpassed in the store sales.
Where is the smart mirror being marketed? Has anyone seen it in a store?
Yes, many people held back in expenditures including me, but the person who is buying the smart mirror is not necessarily the top group of people with financial hardship. I believe the buyer that's going to purchase the smart mirror has expendible money for a new toy.
One example of sales during Covid is Wayfair. ( I wish I would've been that smart to know about this one. Due to people staying home, the sales of Wayfair went through the roof. 27.00 to 200.00 since March.
Capstone and Stewart just F'd up with their running of this venture and put on a good show selling the promotion of the smart mirror with minimal sales. That's why we're hoping for the next product in development. I'm sure that its a disappointment within their own office too and hopefully they realize that if they want to stay solvent, they're going to have to develop a new product line going forward.
Hey friends. Hope everyone is well.
Does anyone know if Capstone is working on a new product line to introduce? Sorry, but I have little faith in the smart mirror. This episode of Capstone reminds me of roof tiles, power generators, and water filters.
I think the best growth of the company was with the original souvenirs and the light programs we had in the big box stores.
Stewart and company have really dropped the ball on the future of Capc. How many of our members here are really or even a touch excited about the concept of a smart mirror. People have smart tv's Ipads, cell phones, etc. They don't need to use a smart mirror. Face facts. What's next in the pipeline? Anyone have a comment to follow?
And to this, I wish all my fellow investors here to be safe and healthy from the virus in the world. Be safe and wear a mask in public.
I agree. Most likely a market order. The value is about $6,000. Reasonable. I'm wondering if someone knows something about a possible order that the company recv'd. Any smart investor is not going to put down 6k on a company like this that shows no future. Capc is not showing any future as it stands. And I hope, whoever bought today is not reading our board here. Let's see if there's anymore buying coming up. ( Hopefully, its more than Stewart talking to a naive neighbor on the phone). The market maker hasn't raised the bid so he's obviously not interested in giving the opportunity for sellers to come up to the plate. Stay safe my friends.
Hello my friends- Question with the way our "Public" company is being run by Stewart.
Is there any valid reason why a new investor who wants to make money on his investment would invest into this company based on what this company has done whether it be sales, share history, future outlook or are we basically waiting for the company to be sold.
ps- I still have all my shares but fortunately have not bought any more to average down, down, down...
I hope Stewart sees this message. He's really run this company into the dumps. JMHO
To all those experienced with our conference call coming up----
Let's see some anticipated responses that our all might Stewart will mention during the conference call.
I'd say that we're going to hear words of a delay of months going into 2nd-3rd quarter of 2020. The China tariff affected our pricing and we should expect a new marketing firm.
All responses are welcome to join in. All in good taste, joking, realistic, humorous, etc. We've all been here a long time and we've all heard the same promises.
I think we're better off with generators, roof tiles and souvenirs.
The Bigger Question - Did they receive enough pre-orders period to put this into production scale? We don't any numbers on this either?
Really sucks - A 400.00 sell sinks the stock 28%
Hey friends. Stewart has done an excellent job at growing the company curing the past 5+ years. Needless to say, not much has occurred over the past 1-2 years. My opinion, I think its time to send Stewart to join with Bruce Linton (from Canopy Growthe) and we find a different CEO that can grow a public company. Unfortunately, its not that easy.
JMO - He's a failure at running a public company with little to no concern about the value of this company and the future of CAPC. For 2 years, we've been dragged on by hearsay during his quarterly speech and not a word until the next quarterly speech to tell us more of the same. Granted, our LED products paid off our debt but there's No direction with no word from the company regarding the future.
Regarding, the tariff. I work with a lot of importers bringing different products into the US from China. Not Everything is affected at 25%. Yes, much is at 25, but some at 10, 15, and some products not at all. This excuse has nothing to do with having our factory produce products unless the "gizmos" are not getting a good reception of pre-booked sales period. JMO and Have a Great day -
Hi Bull.
Everything that Stu says is BS. He hasn't produced any of his promises for the shareholder value in 5 years. He showed incredible sales last year for 2017 and flopped in 2018. His projections are worthless. The only way for this company to take off is if he can prove sales going forward. Not from a facebook page either.
Fantasy dream thought -
Just had a thought tonight wishing that Capstone had developed a lamp/light system for the cannabis industry.
Then I opened my eyes......
Have a good weekend.....
We should see the 8K tomorrow or over the next few trading days. This will simply announce the quarterly report date and conference call. They typically put out the quarterly report on the 14th and the conference call on the 15th. Hoping for good news.
S. Wallach lost his credibility in everything we can see. Which is absolutely not a drop more than a year ago. Nothing he's indicated of improving has happened, at least on the public side of things. We have no idea if "the new gizmo gadget" is even cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. We know absolutely nothing about their finances, products, and future. (And, there's a lot less on the shelves at the big box stores.) I'm hoping they come up with a really good story when they have their quarterly conference call and not the same bs that Stewart has used for the past 2-3 years.
Hey Bull. Knowing how Stewart is from the past, he's not going to say Sh*t. He cares about running the company yet he has no concern about the stock price or shareholder sentiment. He never gives any indication and hopefully he won't delay the delivery like he has in the past hear. Remember we were supposed to get this new product line off the ground 6-8 months ago until we were told during a conference call. Still holding all my shares. GLTA.
Hey guys.
I just want to say as unhappy I am about the silence of the new product line, I'm going through the same thing with my company as I type. We have new products that just came in from China. Nothing like it on the shelves yet and we can't ship it for another 2 weeks. Starting next week, I can start showing samples and pictures ( in person) but can't email the pics nor leave any samples yet. Our competition is cut throat and we can't risk a knock off until after China and H.Kong are finished with their trade shows. For this similar reason, I understand 100% why Capc is cautious about introducing a new technology or product on the web or otherwise. This is why they only show it and ship it to their customers. Their competition eventually knows exactly what it is but they just don't want to put it into their hands from the getgo. We should be informed of other pertinent facts as we've all talked about. The weekend is upon us.
Hey guys. Don't start thinking of the sky with this company. Every word can't be analyzed to project theories, ideas, and what ifs. Stewart has been stringing us along with sales words during every conference call and it always gets blown into the heavenly pie in Ihub. Let's try and bring this back down to earth. Getting real... we know that Stewart indicated that the relationship with hoover licensing may not even last depending on the business profits that come out of the royalty partnership. Therefore, the licensing is not doing as gigantic well as people on ihub believe it to be.
We know absolutely Nothing about this new product line. Nothing. Only hype with Minimal words and who knows if we're even going to get a piece of any market on the item(s). What if someone has something similar in the stores 1 month after us or before us? No guarantees of anything from Stewart and company.
On the other hand, we know that the company is solid, growing, making money and in an excellent financial direction ( at least in the past). They just suck as a public company with shareholders.
From the last conference call, they continued to generalize everything they said without telling the shareholders anything about the future product line. JMHO.
Hi. I agree with Mike. Stewart and company is doing a wonderful job of running a PRIVATE company. As far as running a Public company, they've made it clear that they simply don't care about their shareholders. They've done absolutely NOTHING to support any type of a public company. They could be making announcements, indicating progress, informing the SH's but he plainly could care less about the shareholders. He says he doesn't like the fluff but that's all he's said during his past conference calls. Other than going over the financials and playing a leading cheerleader, he's represented Capstone as a pathetic public company. This is simply the reason we don't have anybody buying this stock. People buy stock to make a profit. Is there any public information or past stock performance at all to justify buying this to make money. NO. As Mike said, there's no transparency of what the company is doing. Until Stewart changes his IR direction, my gut feeling is that we're going lower. I can't recommend this company to anyone. It's embarrassing to try and justify why someone should buy in. Yes, they're profitable and making money. Are you going to sell your stock with a profit? Not with the guidance that they've been giving for the past 3 years. No indication of that happening in the past 3 years or coming up. We know nothing about this company until each quarterly report. Sorry for venting and I still have all my shares. I wish the best to my fellow CAPC sh's.
Hey Mike. .02 has nothing to do with it. Remember that we did a reverse split at .03, 19 months ago = .45. Considering that and what Capstone has done, the stock is a disgrace as an investment. You, me, and the investment world put money into a stock and invest into a company to make money and increase the value of our investment.
This is purely the fault of management not wanting to care or caring about the investment community with their own company. Yes, we all know the story about the fluff. We all agree that its a great company and Stewart gets commended for this but on the other hand, Stewart and company are Sh*t when it comes to representing a "public" company. They could care less about their shareholders. They haven't done a thing. ANYTHING, commendable for the shareholder's value or growing the "value" of the company with the pps. I think many would agree with me on this board. In the meantime, we wait...... again..... and again.
Somebody probably needs the tax loss and hopefully, they'll re-buy it after the 1st.
CAPC Reports Record 3rd Qtr 13.8 Mil Rev
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/capstone-companies-inc-reports-record-115500045.html
We're all still not sure how this is going to affect SP from any indication of past qtrs. GLTA Have a great day!
Don't know. I'm wondering myself. Anybody have any answers?
Agree.
As we've said and all realized, at some point we hope they INITIATE a public relations concern regarding the shareholders and stock. Because Stewart and company haven't shown any concern to their shareholders why Capstone should even be an investment. Although, they've grown the company in an excellent fashion, they're completely failing in showing any type of concern for shareholder value. Capc had definitely grown as they planned over the past 2 years but they've also proven that they have little to no concern for growing any shareholder value in a public company.
Jmho. Have a good weekend my friends.
Hidden Agenda -
I wonder if there's a hidden agenda within the managements office why they don't promote the company. Maybe its just doing fine as far as the growth but they know something as far as buying options at a certain date or if insiders have the opportunity to sell at a certain date. I think they've got to have an insider reason as to why they don't promote the company. JMHO
Just hope somebody of quality shows up in the audience.
Basically, Capstone has shown no reason for the investing community to invest into its company. People and institutions invest into a stock to make money. Bottom line... Not to become partners with the company. Our stock price has not shown any reason to invest into this company. Capstone has proven that it can be a successful company making profits with excellent sales growth and management but it has no care for its shareholders as a public company to show its value with any announcements. When and If the day comes that Capstone starts doing PR announcements, we'll rise incredibly fast but that's what it's going to take. An investment is not an investment if its not going to make money per share. There's a lot of stocks out there that show a track record in their stock price. Unfortunately, we don't.
Bull. There's no reason for us to have increased volume yet. Nobody knows anything concrete. We're all just expecting a good report but new investors have no reason to buy YET. They will very soon. As we talk here, Capc is just 1 of the 1000 stocks to choose from. Unfortunately, Stewart needs to feed a PR company with the info but they don't.
It's very clear why we don't have any new investors. People invest in the market to make money. Capc has a great story, makes money, and profits, but shows no upside if you look at their stock chart. People want to see a trend. Not a wishful story. Our stock price needs no explanation on this board. It's been repeated over and over. Blame it on management. We've said this. Hoping for the jump next week.
I seriously believe that the sellers are the buyers that spike up the price with large volume purchases and they're just going for the short term profits. The guys that are selling are probably paying attention but only going for the short term profits. These are people who are going to probably participate in the next jump as well. Jmho
Hi Guys,
I went searching Ihub for a date from last year to determine when the company last year reported anything.
Last July has a lot about the reverse split but I didn't see anything regarding Q2. On 8/16 there was a conference call.
If anyone wants to go back and look a little deeper into our conversations, start around post # 71364.
I don't expect Stewart and company to be announcing anything very soon. Unfortunately, that's just the way its been with CAPC although I hope I'm wrong and we see some news soon. Last July's news was the rs and the new listing and symbol. GLTA
I would guess that some people bought into this just for a pure play of short term profit. Someone is happy getting 20% profit in a very short time. It's not me but there's nothing wrong with that strategy too. At least on they're end, they're making money.
TXMD is new to me but it looks like a good opportunity at this price. I may buy some tomorrow but I noticed that after hours there was a sell than brought the price down. I've read good things.
I have a lot of sh in CAPC. Capstone Companies. They're announcing 1st qtr tomorrow and a conference call on Tuesday. Take a look here on Ihub. Excellent board too with lots of info. GLTA
Hi U. I agree with many here. Great company. Great outlook for the future profit and business but as most will agree, the pps sucks. Even considering where we were before the RS, the pps was hovering in the .35-.45 range. Up 50%. From a year ago, we're up approx 70%.
Last spring 2016, we were at around .45 for about 3 weeks, so that's only a 20% increase from that point.
Bottom line, our pps growth has not been impressive.
But unfortunately, as we've all known, it's been a stress struggle for any advancement. We've all said, the company deserves a much higher pps due to all of the fundamentals of what's going on, etc. They just need someone that cares about the investment value to help get the word out with announcements. Patents, sales outlooks, etc. That's pretty much in the quarterly conference.
Stewart's business model is that they won't give up customer info or any info that would put the sales knowledge in front of our competition ( ie: new products and technology before placement). The competition knows what we're doing, but we're making them find out about it after it's in the stores on the shelves.
They want the customer to have the product first. Before the competition has an opportunity to create something similar.
The Capc sales growth is in front of us. The numbers are black and white. It's just a shame that we're not getting ANY investor relations to coincide with the growth. That's part of the reason that we're so successful in our placement and growth. It's kind of a double edge sword.
From what we all know, no one of the upper management is leaving the company anytime soon, nor are they selling the company (otherwise, they would be willing to promote the company more to raise the sp) so they really have no reason at the moment to advertise the fluff as Stewart has noted numerous times.
As far as technicals, according to the macd and stochastics, I see a slight sell off during this coming week. Hopefully, it'll only be a 2-3 cents with support at .50. Any announcement, IMO, could reverse the downtrend into continuing a positive trend upward. JMHO.
Have a good weekend to all.
