The market soars and this POS tanks... SIGH!!!
Don't know.
Have ZERO trust in the SEC.
Couple of years ago I helped stir the pot on a company that seemed to be doing strange, investor unfriendly things. Then, when the going got rough, the company simply went out of business. While I do not see SYNM going out of business, assume from the SEC standpoint in the case of the other company, there was not enough left to go after the company officers, and in the long run it would have cost more to prosecute and incarcerate them than it was worth!
Duh!
I know it is just my imagination, but it sure seems like someone is desperately trying to keep SYNM throttled back... like selling low into surges is awful strange... or am I missing something?
I note that earlier this month our board rewarded themselves for all their good work last year...
Couldn't leave well enough alone... could you!!!
Any good news related to SYNM posted to this forum is fodder for at least a several point decline!
Geeeeeeeze!!!
Lufthansa Concludes Biofuel Tests On Domestic Routes
No Further Developments Until Fuel Is More Redily Available
After a six-month practical trial involving biosynthetic fuel, Lufthansa said this week that it had successfully operated 1,187 biofuel flights between Hamburg and Frankfurt. According to initial calculations, CO2 emissions were reduced by 1,621 tons. Total consumption of the biokerosene mix amounted to 1,715 tons.
“Our burnFAIR project went off smoothly and to our fullest satisfaction. As expected, biofuel proved its worth in daily flight operations,” confirmed Joachim Buse, Vice President Aviation Biofuel at Lufthansa.
The highlight of the biofuel trial at Lufthansa will be the first scheduled transatlantic flight to the United States, planned for January 12tth. A Boeing 747-400, carrying about 40 tonnes of a biosynthetic fuel mix, will fly from Frankfurt to Washington. With this flight alone, Lufthansa expects to reduce CO2 emissions by 38 tonnes, equivalent to the CO2 emissions of six scheduled flights between Frankfurt and Berlin.
The aviation industry has undertaken a great deal in terms of climate protection and has set itself ambitious targets. In line with IATA’s industry-wide goal, airlines must reduce their net CO2 emissions by 50 per cent by the year 2050 compared to 2005. “If we want to protect our climate and thus our future in a sustainable manner, we need innovative ideas and technologies and an environmentally friendly alternative to fossil fuels – particularly in view of the growing demand for mobility worldwide,” said Christoph Franz, Chairman of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG.
Biosynthetic kerosene is just as reliable as conventional jet fuel but the environmental effects are more positive. Thanks to the higher energy density of biofuel, it has been possible to reduce the fuel consumption by more than one per cent. Furthermore, biosynthetic kerosene is free of sulphur and aromatic compounds. The principle behind biofuel is simple and is based on the carbon cycle. Plants withdraw CO2 from the atmosphere through photosynthesis. When aircraft engines burn biofuel, this CO2 is released back into the atmosphere. Biofuel emits about 50 per cent less CO2 than conventional fossil fuels.
The the tests will be winding down until biofuels are more redily available. “As a next step, we will focus on the suitability, availability, sustainability and certification of raw materials. But first we must tap into this market. However, Lufthansa will only continue the practical trial if we are able to secure the volume of sustainable, certified raw materials required in order to maintain routine operations,” project manager Joachim Buse stressed.
A Lufthansa Airbus A321 was used to operate scheduled flights on the Hamburg-Frankfurt route between July 15th and December 27th last year. One of the aircraft’s engines was powered by a 50-50 blend of regular fuel and biosynthetic kerosene. The aim of this long-term trial was to gain experience in the use of biofuel and collect long-term data. At the same time, the test flight enables the effects of biofuels on the environment and on the maintenance and life time of the engines to be examined.

That price bothers this ole vet too... however, giving the benefit of the doubt... the 1st batch/offering/model of any product is the most expensive. Maybe that's it. Otherwise, suffice it to say that there is a special place in Hades for short sellers and evil profit takers... at the expense of others, especially the troops!!!
Scratching my head...
Looking back over the years (!), this company/stock did better as a dream running down someone's leg than it is doing as a near full production entity with (apparent) positive news/outlook.
Just seems strange to me... but then I am told I am kind of strange anyhow.
DEPENDS at the ready... either way!
Bio jet fuel, specifically the type produced by Dynamic Fuels/Syntroleum is prefect for a naval, aboard ship, environment. It has a higher flash point, better lubricity, more complete combustion than petro jet fuel.
Naval interest, and the initial contract in hand, should be significant!
GO SYNM!!!
Makes sense...
All of folks in Washington need to get in before the widespread announcement, duh!
Yah! I didn't get the yellow sticky on that one either!
On the other hand... I cut up a DEPENDS... backed it with some duck tape and made due... sniffle!
Glad to see that the crack shareholder department at Dynamic Fuels/Syntroleum was on top of this news!
I think I am getting a nose bleed...
THE WORD OF THE DAY IS: LIQUIDITY
Liquidity is when you look at your retirement funds statement and wet your pants.
DEPENDS at the ready... either way!!!
DEPENDS (super strength) at the ready... Let's light this candle!!!
Alaska Airlines Launching Biofuel-Powered Commercial Service in the United States
75 flights signal a new era for aviation: Renewable fuels reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote future job growth
11/7/2011 1:00 a.m.
SEATTLE — Alaska Airlines will fly 75 commercial passenger flights in the United States powered by biofuel, starting this Wednesday. These flights signal aviation's next era, where sustainable biofuels can provide a viable alternative to conventional fuel and enable airlines to reduce their environmental impact.
Two maiden biofuel-powered flights will leave Seattle on Nov. 9 for Washington, D.C., and Portland, Ore. Alaska Airlines and its sister carrier, Horizon Air, will continue to operate select flights between Seattle and the two cities over the next few weeks using a 20 percent blend of sustainable biofuel made from used cooking oil that meets rigorous international safety and sustainability standards.
"This is a historic week for U.S. aviation. The 75 flights that Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air will fly over the next few weeks reflect our longstanding commitment to environmental responsibility and our belief that sustainable biofuels are key to aviation's future," Alaska Air Group Chairman and CEO Bill Ayer said. "Commercial airplanes are equipped and ready for biofuels. They will enable us to fly cleaner, foster job growth in a new industry, and can insulate airlines from the volatile price swings of conventional fuel to help make air travel more economical. What we need is an adequate, affordable and sustainable supply. To the biofuels industry, we say: If you build it, we will buy it."
Alaska Air Group's fleet of Boeing 737s and Bombardier Q400s are one of the youngest and most fuel-efficient among domestic airlines. Air Group has also led the industry with a variety of environmental projects to fly greener — from pioneering satellite-based navigation procedures to onboard recycling. But industry leaders agree that biofuels represent a critical element in cutting aviation's carbon footprint.
"Aviation clearly needs a clean energy alternative to fossil fuels," said Boeing Commercial Airplanes Vice President of Environment and Aviation Policy Billy Glover. "In the U.S. and around the world, the industry is doing all it can to support sustainable biofuel development and maintain aviation's role in global economic growth. To make that happen we must develop regional supply chains, and that takes supportive government policies that encourage investment in the early stages of this emerging sector."
Alaska Air Group estimates the 20 percent certified biofuel blend it is using for the 75 flights will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by an estimated 10 percent, or 134 metric tons, the equivalent of taking 26 cars off the road for a year. If the company powered all of its flights with a 20 percent biofuel blend for one year, the annual emissions savings would represent the equivalent of taking nearly 64,000 cars off the road or providing electricity to 28,000 homes.
"Tomorrow's fuels are ready to be used in today's airplanes and that's an important step forward," said Philippe Poutissou, vice president of marketing for Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. "Our industry already designs aircraft that reduce the environmental footprint. We continue to strive for sustainable solutions and greener skies."
The fuel was supplied by SkyNRG, an aviation biofuels broker, and made by Dynamic Fuels, a producer of next-generation renewable, synthetic fuels made from used cooking oil. The synthetic high-performance airliner fuel made by Dynamic Fuels — a $170 million joint-venture between Tyson Foods Inc. (NYSE: TSN) and Syntroleum Corp. (NASDAQ: SYNM) — meets aviation and military safety, sustainability and performance standards."Advanced biofuels can be an economic driver in creating good jobs and a vital part of America's long-term energy security," said Bob Ames, Tyson Foods' vice president of renewable energy and member of the Dynamic Fuels management committee. "However, government policies supporting development are essential to ensure that the aviation biofuels industry reaches its full potential and is able to compete against foreign petroleum."
Alaska's commercial biofuel flights come six months after Air Group partnered in a strategic initiative called www. Sustainable Aviation Fuels Northwest (SAFN), a 10-month regional stakeholder effort to explore the feasibility, challenges and opportunities for creating an aviation biofuels industry in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. The study determined the region has the diverse stocks for biofuels, delivery infrastructure and political will needed to create a viable biofuels industry. There currently is no supply of aviation biofuels in the Pacific Northwest.

Our CEO on FOX...
That's da place I got too on the GOOGLE map search.
If you go to www.ligattsecurity.com it automatically reroutes you to www.hitechcrimesolutionsonline.com where it lists that address for LIGATT Security International.
The last address I am aware of in California for LGTT, 2-3 years ago, was a suite... in reality just a PO Box... in/near Marina del Ray. I stopped by the location, during a visit to CA back then, and took a photo (which I have archived somewhere).
Seems like nothing much has changed... maybe just the location to be closer to the local roach-coach taco outlet? If so, it just might be the most rational corporate decision of recent note.
OMG!!!
Do a GOOGLE map search on the company's 15327 Parthenia Street, 91343 digs. Suite 438???
Dunno whether to laugh or cry!!!
FAA Issues SAIB For HEFA, FT Jet Fuels
Biofuels Receive ASTM Nod For Use In Engines Certified For Jet A Or Jet A-1
The FAA has issued a Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin (SAIB) advising aircraft operators, Fixed Base Operators (FBOs), FAA repair stations and FSDOs, and Foreign Civil Aviation Authorities, that jet fuel made from hydroprocessed fatty acid esters and fatty acids (HEFA) or Fischer Tropsch (FT) synthetic blending components that meets the requirements of ASTM International Standard D7566 is acceptable for use on aircraft and engines certificated for operation with D1655 Jet A or Jet A-1 jet fuel, provided that it is re-identified as D1655 fuel. When re-identified as D1655 fuel, D7566 jet fuel meets all the specification requirements of D1655 and therefore meets the approved operating limitations for aircraft and engines certificated to operate with D1655 fuel, unless otherwise prohibited by the engine or aircraft type certificate (TC) holder.
ASTM International issued ASTM Standard Specification D7566, “Standard Specification for Aviation Turbine Fuel Containing Synthesized Hydrocarbons,” for drop-in jet fuel from alternative feedstocks in September 2009. This specification defines properties for semi-synthetic jet fuel made from blending conventional jet fuel with synthetic blending components that are specified in individual annexes. These semi-synthetic jet fuels specified in D7566 possess essentially identical composition, properties, and performance to conventional jet fuels. This specification initially included only one annex for synthetic fuel from coal, biomass, and natural gas produced using the FT process. On July 1, 2011, a second annex was added to this specification to permit the use of HEFA synthetic blending components. HEFA is considered a biofuel because it is made from plant oils or animal fats. Both D7566 and the existing specification for conventional jet fuel, ASTM International Standard D1655, “Standard Specification for Aviation Turbine Fuels” are crossreferenced to allow D7566 fuels to be re-identified as D1655 fuels when they enter the distribution system. When re-identified, D7566 fuels made with HEFA or FT blending components meet existing FAA-approved operating limitations, unless otherwise prohibited by the engine or aircraft TC holder.
The FAA says the following recommendations apply to HEFA or FT fuels meeting ASTM specification D7566 that are re-identified to ASTM D1655 Jet A or Jet A-1 fuels (unless otherwise prohibited by the engine or aircraft Type Certificate (TC) holder):
These fuels are acceptable for use on those aircraft and engines that are approved to operate with Jet A or Jet A-1 fuels meeting D1655.
Operating Limitations in Aircraft Flight Manuals, Pilot Operating Instructions, or Type Certificate Data Sheets that specify ASTM D1655 Jet A or Jet A-1 fuel are acceptable for use with these fuels.
Current aircraft placards that specify Jet A or Jet A-1 fuels are acceptable for use with these fuels.
Operating, maintenance or other service documents for aircraft and engines that are approved to operate ASTM D1655 Jet A or Jet A-1 fuel are acceptable for use when operating with these fuels.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!
Throw in a side of Krusinki's (of Cleveland) pierogies and we're closing in on Heaven!
However, when one's stock begins trading in mills, prayers are in order (or maybe swift boots in the arses of our CEO and board!!!) ... Sigh!!!
Unreported news...
The whole Gosimer Plant fell off the edge of the Earth! It is still working but it is hanging by only one hose line!
Additionally, Tyson has found greater profit in sending all its animal waste products to "food glue" processors and sell the resulting product as filets.
Ever wonder what is really in your balogna?
Sigh!!!
Can someone explain it to me???
Why in the world, when a stock is on a nice little rise, is there always someone willing to sell off some shares below the going price?
Now I understand it when tens of thousdand of shares are traded back and forth, but when you are talking a penny or two on a few thousand shares, where the buy/sell commission eats up any profit... it just does not make sense to me! (?)

Finally!!! Some positive news!
Wish I had some extra cash to buy a bunch of shares at the present price!
USD $510,000,000 to be invested by the US Depts of Agriculture/Energy and US Navy over the next three years in partnership with the civilian industry to produce bio-fuels for aviation and marine use, so says the White House on Tuesday, Aug 16, 2011.
Sounds like good news to me...
Works for me!!!
GO SYNM
Congrats!!! (... I think!)
More than meets the eye?
Perhaps my earlier inquisitive posting about TYSON now selling rather than paying as regards their animal bio-waste is not so far fetched...

40 billion pounds????
http://prontoenergygroup.com/?page_id=30
Wow! That's a lot of synth-fuel product!!!
Food (sic) for thought for SYNM shareholders???
Correct me if I have this wrong...
DYNAMIC FUELS is making product out of waist stuff, animal (and other) by-products that TYSON would normally have to pay to get rid of.
Now however, TYSON is selling this material to DYNAMIC FUELS at a premium (?) price.
Tell me I am missing something.
Well boys & girls... the CONF CALL was revealing on a lot of fronts, but there's no denying that the July numbers (altho still hushed) would seem indicate a swing into the profitablility column.

Yeeeeee Hawwwwwwww!!!
Line up for the cheapies!!!
Someone did not get the memo... FIZZZZZZZLE
Tee hee...
Sorry for dupe posting...
One can only hope for a POSITIVE report.
