Tax filing season is near. To the knowledgeable people out there, should I or should I not sell and file a loss? Is there ANY possibility that this company is going to resurrect itself? I lost a lot of money (at least to me).
I guess that it's all over and that I lost all my money. Does anyone feel that there is any chance of this company resurrecting itself? Is it all over but the crying? Should I sell and claim the loss on my tax form? Or is there still a chance? Is there any, any chance? Come on people, I need some encouragement!
Ok, does this mean that my CYGX stock is worthless? Is all hope lost? Should I finally sell and be done with this nightmare? Any advice would be helpful. BUT please, no more lying, manipulating, pumping! Only the truth... this time.
Do you think I should claim a loss now, or hang in there until next year's tax filing? I mean, miracles do happen.
Around the first of April of last year (nearly 10 months ago), we were told CYGX was getting off the ground again. Since then, there has been very little publicity about the turn-around. Does ANYONE know ANYTHING to give us any hope? Any info would be most appreciated!
It was back in early April when we heard this stock was going to "recover." I know, because it was right before the deadline for filing taxes and I was going to sell and claim a total loss. Instead, I decided to hang on. So... it's been nearly five months since we've heard anything. I'm patient, but when does anyone think that we'll hear some "real" news about CYGX starting up?
Haven't you heard? This baby is about to get off the ground and we're all going to get rich! Or at least I'm hoping to get my money back and break even. But getting rich? Yeah, I'd like to get rich. A fool can dream, can't he?
I guess that everyone is waiting to see what the next step the company takes. I wish that things would start rolling soon. I'll admit, I'm impatient.
I don't know who the actors are on this stage or what part they play. I do know one thing, I lost quiet a bit of money (at least to me). I would like to get it back. Surely, whoever is behind this "re-awakening" has some plan in mind. Would anybody care to speculate as to what it might be?
Let's all hope for the best today...
To me, there's no confusion. The voting form plainly states that if no direction is made, it will be voted as "For." I don't doubt what you say, but that's a big foul-up on someone's part.
From the "White Voting Instruction Form": This voting instruction form, when properly executed, will be voted in the manner directed by the Registered Shareholder. If no direction is made, this Voting Instruction Form will be voted "For" each of the nominated directors and "For" the remaining proposals.
Proposal 1: Election of three directors:
01) Larry Masi
02) Marcus Kuypers, M.D.
030 Roland Violette
Proposal 2: Repeal the Amendments to the Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws of the Company as published in the Form 8K published November 18, 2010.
Proposal 3: Ratify the original By-Laws of the Company dated May 9, 1995.
No, actually what I'm hoping for is for the company to genuinely develop a product and make us all rich! No scams, no rip-offs, and no playing games with my investment.
I understand where you're coming from, truthhurts. But when a person has lost a lot of money, they'll grab at anything to recoup their losses. I'm one of those people. I don't care when, where, or how this company is to be resurrected, I just want it resurrected. It's happened several times before. Let's hope that it can happen again.
Maybe we need a revote and the "no" voters need to be more educated about the situation.
Maybe I'm not too savvy, but this doesn't make any sense. So, I was screwed buying this stock and it seems there's no way to become unscrewed!
I bought this stock because they were trying to develop a product called "Simplivir," an anti-herpes medicine. I guess that it never got off the ground. Then, there is of course, "SynDNA." It never made it to major production either.
CYGX has risen many times before. Not too many years ago, it hit $1.54 before it crashed. I know it may sound crazy, but this company could very well recover, at least for a while. I'm hoping and praying this will happen.
I haven't received anything.
Well, I pray that this company will once again rise from the ashes. Do you know of any private or inside information that you could provide that might shed some light on what is happening behind the scenes? Thanks for any information.
I'm not believing anything until I hear truthhurt's take on what is happening. So, truthhurts, tell us your opionion. Is this more BS, or do you think this company will be brought back to life? Also, will my shares be any good?
Does your post mean that CYGX will once again be resurrected? Does it mean that I won't have to eat dog food in my retirement years? Please elaborate.
My days of investing in the stock market or penny stocks are over. I've lost all the money that I can stand. This has been a learning experience of the worst kind. Somehow, somewhere the evil people will be punished. Dirty, dirty, dirty... That's all I have to say.
All I can say is that I should have listened to you (truthhurts) from day one. Live and learn <sigh>.
Any new "news" out there? I still don't know why the large investors who lost big money don't go after the assets of the management of this company. All I can guess is that they don't feel like they have a legal case.
Well, I thought you had to sell to claim a losss. I guess that I was mistaken.
Well... I guess that it really is over. Is there anyone out there who can give me any hope that this stock will recover? If not, I guess that I'll sell before the end of the year and take my loss. All comments (hope) appreciated.
Ok, I'll admit it, I acted as a fool when I bought this stock. End of story!
I said that because there were actual scientists and researchers working for the company. I mean, they even posted their pictures on the website. Surely those scientists/researchers weren't in on a scam. I bought because of Simplivir, the anti-herpes medication. We could have all become filthy rich if that had been developed. If only...
I reallly don't think this was a scam in the beginning. I mean, there were actual scientists/researchers working for this company. I don't know how or if it actually sunk to the scam level, but if it did, someone needs to go to prison. If this was indeed a scam and the scammers can be definitely pointed out, their assets should go toward making restitution to the poor saps like me who lost their hard-earned money. I still pray for a turn-around. Yeah, I know, I'm living in a state of delusion.
I'm just about ready to file my taxes. I wonder should I declare this stock a loss or should I wait another year for a miracle? Any advice?
Mr. Wunderlich, please revive CYGX! Thank you. EOM.
Mr. Wunderlich, before I invest in STAR Biologics, could you please explain how I lost 99.9% of my investment in CYGX? What in the hell happened? I'm waiting...
Paulness, I can understand your point. BUT, I've been reading this board for many years and I've yet to see a more obvious... uh... should I say "irrational expectation?" I would love for this poster to be right and I could recover some of my money. The posting just isn't believable. Besides, why delete my post when truthhurts really lays it on the line? I appreciate truthhurts comments because he actually tells it like it is. If I'd listened to him in the beginning, I'd be a lot more wealthier than being a lot more "broker."
I know this is a silly question, but have I lost all my money? Does anyone, and I do mean anyone, believe that CYGX will ever come back? If everyone here believes that it's over, then why don't you sell your stock and take a loss on next year's taxes? And if you don't, is it because there are some people who still believe this stock will recover? I want to wash my hands of this whole affair and never look back, but I'm afraid as soon as I do, it jumps to 25 cents again. I appreciate any comments anyone has, good or bad. No use ridiculing me because I already know I'm a chump who had dollar signs swirling in his head.
That's what I want to know, any news? Good, bad, or otherwise? Are we doomed? Is there any way out of this mess? That is, does anyone believe that we can recover our losses through another miraculous ressurection? Surely if the "insiders" made money before, their greed will cause them to try it one more time. Surely...
I could wallpaper my whole house with the amount of shares that I have. CYGX, please reach 80 cents a share so I can break even. Surely the large investors (big-time losers)can work out some plan to re-coup their losses (and mine). Hey, I might sound foolish, but I can't give up hope.
I got into this stock when the company claimed to have possibly discovered a cure for herpes, which was Simplivir. I thought we'd all make a zillion dollars and we would have if that had been the truth. The Simplivir angle was a long time ago.
Has anyone heard anymore information about what's happening to this company now? Is anyone in charge? Is there anything to be in charge of? Remember, this company has been ressurected many times before. Is it still possible? Am I full of BS for even thinking there may be hope left?
This is my first (and last) penny stock investment, so be patient with me. When the end finally comes, will there be a press release from CYGX saying its over or will the SEC send out a message saying it's over? Will there be any kind of notification from anyone? How will I know it's time to walk away and claim my loss? Thanks for any information.
I say if this is a scam, then all the crooks should go to jail. I say if this is a scam, then all the crooks' assets should be seized and sold off to reimburse the people such as myself who got screwed in this investment. Greed... greed... greed... how damn greedy can you get? I remember some posters talking about putting all their IRA's into this stock. You may say that they shouldn't have been so gullible and stupid, but the PR's sounded legit.
