I usually try to be positive and keep my speculation to my self. Once in a while I will try and form a well thought out post to enter a discussion on a issue. If I have concerns I keep them to my self or voice them in a way that provokes a serious discussion and is not offensive to those who have big hopes for their investment.
I have big hopes for my investments but reality must trump my emotion. Unfortunately, reality is elusive in the pinks. Rampant speculation (both positive and negative) is also too common.
I always ask myself:
1. What value to me and those who read my post is what I am saying? If it is not of high value there is no use in saying it. I am not here for the banter, I am here to learn and to access the emotional state of the investors.
2. How can I phrase my thought so it generates the most positive response. - If I have a concern, blurting it out may not be the best way to get to the bottom of the issue. Asking for clarity or information usually works better for me.
3. What does the response to my post tell me about how to better get at the real issue in the future?
- A better way to ask the question
- Following up leads and information given or hinted at
4. What does the response to the post tell me about the mood, aspirations, and character of those who respond.
5. How can I help others without compromising my profit?
