First of all, I in no way "slammed" anyone. I said that some in our community has some doubts as to the legitimacy of this company. I also said that I am very hopeful that everything is on the up-and-up and that the company does well here. As far as calling John Beebe up himself, what would that prove? If he is a scam artist, would he just up and say, "Nah, I'm not legit"? As far as talking to someone within the company, I am friends with Robert H. Boothe Jr (google him and you'll see he has been appointed head of this project and other Perihelion projects in Alabama) and from him I have heard some information that he is convinced of, yet I am not. Knowing him personally, I don't see why a company dealing with the size of assets Perihelion claims to have would allow him to spearhead anything, particularly something like a $40MM biofuel plant. All he has ever done is manage a small-time AM radio station his father left to him and his brother. As far as his other civic duties that Perihelion has used as his brag sheet in the media, the Opp Jaycees that Robert was very active in was well-known as nothing more than a aged frat house. I know that sounds cynical, but I don't mean it to slander Robert, but how does any of this qualify him to manage such an endeavor? Also, I've googled everything about this company on the internet and everything I find is obviously coming from a Perihelion source because it is the same information, verbatum, on every web source. One last question, if John Beebe is such a successful business man and does wonders in such short time, how does he have time to answer the phone to discuss these issues with shareholders? Shouldn't he have a very hectic schedule trying to get these major projects underway? And exactly how do you sell only $500k in stocks and acquire $750MM in assets? I'd like to know that magic trick. I know my position seems decidedly against Perihelion, but I assure you it is just skepticism that comes from too many unknowns. If some of these questions could be answered clearly, I may feel more at ease. As far as sitting back, I will definetly do that. I will be satisfied when the biofuel plant is completed. But I guess when your family and friends may be directly affected by this, it is hard to just sit on your hounches. If it is legitimate, great for this town. Why not wait? Because if it is a scam, it could cost my town a lot of supportive dollars.
