I finally decide to unload my shares and I can't even time that right! What's going on with PBLS? Is it time to buy????
Thanks for the good wishes! Most of us need that and a good bottle of scotch - oh, no, no more scotch, especially if it's from Lockerbie...
That's just my luck. I just sold my last shares last week at .0001. That's me - a day late and a dollar shy. Now I'll just be one of those commenters with no dog in the fight (apologies to Michael Vick)
Let's hope, if it makes sense to anyone, they will come forth with an explanation that appeals to your logic and mine. Meanwhile, I just sit here scratching my head.
I still own a few million shares. Is there any chance they will make me rich? I guess the answer to that is yes, if I sell them and use the proceeds to buy something that actually increases in value.
Hmmm, I wonder if any of the swamp management team has a stock for sale.....
Why are the MMs still making a market? It is mind-boggling to me that 10.5+ million shares have traded today.
Can someone please explain to me the who, what, where, why, and/or how of the 10.5+ million shares that have traded today? If this stock is sooooo worthless, why is some MM willing to put out good money for the shares? Is there some point at which the MMs decide to stop making a market?
This does not fit with my narrow view of the world. Like, when you're dead, lay down.
You must be a tech guy with a very interesting matrix. Pass the Kool-Aid!
EDDIE, thanks for the info! I thought it might be someting like that.
viki, if you know, how many went at .0002? I ask because I have had a sell order out there for that amount for a few days and they didn't reach me. I've been ignored before. Maybe it was because the order was an AON and they couldn't go for the $200...
EDDIE, I thought we just went through that exercise that there were no shorts. And what is a "natural short?"
PS - You can see I'm getting an expensive education! TIA
"Runs" to and ".0007" seem to be some sort of oxymoron. Does anyone out there see the irony? It will be a big dead cat bounce, like a saber tooth tiger, which is as extinct as the likelihood of this stock going to .0007. But I have millions of reasons to pray you're right.
Xylan, at what point, if any, do the MMs stop buying? What do they do with the shares they pay you or anyone else for?
I am thinking these are questions I never knew I would need to ask.
I'm assuming you got money for your shares. Who paid you?
I wonder who's buying shares.
Can someone tell me why BigCharts shows PBLS as being down 100%? http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=pbls&sid=0&o_symb=pbls&x=25&y=20
I miss RC. I understood that Maggie Moe was playing the part of Toby, the dog in the Stanley Steemer ad.
No takers on Cradfest 2009?
Xylven, we can always depend on you. Thanks! But Crooner was right - we paid for it! I'm always so happy to oblige, PA!
At the risk of changing the tone and asking a serious question, I wonder aloud if anyone as ever posted how the Alonzos plan to pay for costly BK representation. Their attorney, whose name escapes me at the moment (Lightfoot? That would be a good name for someone representing the light-fingered.) most assuredly is not working pro bono and I don't imagine there will be much money in the publishing rights.
I see Crad posted and am wondering if there are any plans for a Cradfest 2009.
Brigunn, let me be one of the last to say congrats on the new job! Way to go...
Thanks again, Xylan, for all you do! Here's something that may add to the discussion: A suspensive appeal is one that suspends the effect or execution of an appealable order or judgment. A devolutive appeal is one that does not suspend the effect of the judgment. I'm sure everyone knew that, but just in case...
XYLAN, thanks for all your work. You are not alone!
CHARLIE125, I certainly hope it's not the drink speaking and you're right about .0008, because I'm long, too long. Remember that scene in "When Harry Met Sally"? I'll have what you're having.
Bigfoot, Big Bucks Mama sees the wisdom in your observation and from time to time I wonder aloud myself...
BTW, I'm thinking of changing my name to Formerly Big Bucks Mama.
Go, Charlie, go! I'm putting one in for .008! That's the spirit!
Thanks, Xylan!
It amazes me that shares are still trading. Does anyone remember the last verified amount of outstanding shares and when it was obtained?
GLTA from Long and Stupid!
Yes, I certainly did misread what you said. In order to develop whether or not they have any assets upon which I can levy, I have to spend money. More important than that, I have to spend time, which is the only irreplaceable commidity there is. I choose to spend my time in more profitable pursuits than chasing these people. Putting them in jail does nothing for me. If they're in jail, my taxes have to support them.
Precisely! It doesn't help anyone who's long to create more bills for the Swampsters.
I probably should do the same thing. I'd just be sure to sell all or none. Maybe "management" is waiting until a majority of the longs sell out. Then they'll come out gangbusters. Well, that's my dream for the weekend. GLTA!
The verdict in favor of PBLS is decidedly an asset. The only thing in question is the verdict's value. Because of the bankruptcy, I would assume that Phoenix and the bank will no longer be able to play games with a decision as to the value of the judgment against the bank. My concern is whether or not the bankruptcy court is charged with getting as much as possible from Picayune or if the court will only be concerned with getting the debts covered.
I agree. Suing PA and the gang wouldn't put a dime in my pocket.
I wonder who wrote that PR. It really makes no sense. But communication was never a talent of the swampers. Has anyone heard anything about Maggie Mo?
Yesterday's PR really shed light in a dark corner for me. Now I know at whose feet to lay the blame for the failure of PBLS - mine and the rest of the shareholders! For those of you who go Pogo: I have met the enemy and he is us!
Is that Treaty Energy in Abilene TX? I see they mention Phoenix Oil and Gas LLC. Does that have anything to do with PBLS or is that just a scary accident?
Has anyone spoken to PA, CA, or RB lately? Is RB really gone? If RB is gone, where is he? These questions, not to mention the question of why am I still lonnnngggg, burn in my brain...
Fortunately, we can still afford a sense of humor - but barely.
Does anyone think the Swampers are capable of pulling a rabbit out of their hat a la Bullwinkle?
BTW, I'm beginning to detect a whiff of bitterness in the air around here. You must give the Swampers credit: It takes some real skill these days to flush an oil-related company down the toilet.
TT, I'm right with you. Assuming the Picayune bank case is still pending,I'm curious to see how it's not listed as an asset. Maybe we can get a response from someone on that issue.
I was thinking of holding on for a dead-cat bounce. But seriously, was that whole Picayune bank thing a lie?
