Well everybody. It's 7:25 Calgary time, and I am typing this on my grandson's laptop at a Comfort Inn in Calgary. Transakt's office is alive and well. It's on the third floor of a multi story office complex and, except for the traffic, was not difficult to locate. Nice reception area, four office areas and compact boardroom. Took some pictures but cannot upload until home on Thursday. Christian Neilsen was in the office and we did chat a bit. Wu is still busy working for the company, and was due in the Calgary office on the weekend. Wish I was able to have been here then. Regardless, Christian indicitated that the required financials were going right down to wire as far as the timeframe was concerned: we will have to wait and see how that develops.
The office is functional, all the required equipment was in place, its in a nice building, in a predominately business area. If nothing else it is comforting to know that the office structure is in place, and does look professional.
Any, my grandson is bugging me to go out and get something to eat, and I could sure use a cold one after driving back from Medicine Hat where my son is. All in all it has been a very good trip, and combined with my grandson's first jet flight, seeing my son and grandaughter, and Transakt's functional and operating office, I am reasonably pleased. Hopefully with news the share price will recover somewhat, and I am willing to wait for that.
Well, take care for now.
What is not encouraging is that I have not received an answer to my E-Mail to the company. Because of the arrival time I am going to leave my visit until my 2nd last day. By the time we get our luggage and a rental vehicle and head to Lethbridge, the day will be coming to an end. My son lives in Redcliff, which is just west of Lethbridge, which itself is 150 miles south of Calgary. I want to phone this Nielsen person and make sure someone is actually present to talk with. I have googled the Calgary location and know where to go; but I want to make sure it is not a wasted trip. My son says Calgary drivers would rather run over you than stop, but that's OK because I learned to drive in a big city (Montreal) and even back in the sixties it took me a hour to get to work and that was only 15 miles.
I certainly hope I am able to connect with someone from the Company.
I will post anything I find out as soon as possible.
Take care, have a great week and a great weekend.
P.S. I talked to my son an hour ago and it was snowing. He's in construction and he was not a happy camper.
Only to money.
And the penalty for not doing that is what? More of the same.
Might as well be a permanent CTO.
My grandson and I are flying to Calgary for a week on the 24th of April ( Actually going to Medicine Hat to visit my son) and I am planning to stop at the Transakt office if time permits and if there is still an office to visit. This is total B/S with this Company. I would like proof that the regulators in question ACTUALLY have ANY information from Transakt to review in the first place.
Precisely. Just can't stand B/S.
What's the deal here. An "in house" IR, yet on CMMI board a certain somebody says Steve is sticking with CMMI. A quantum IR?
How long before this gets deleted?
It is not true that money is the root of all evil. It is the uncontrolled lust for money by humans. Money, like tools, is a means to an end. Don't shoot the messenger.
I-Hub has been a major disappointment. I post rarely, and for good reason.
Sorry. omitted symbol on last post.. LANPF OTC/BB
The last time I talked to the I/R company in Florida, I was told that they had not been paid since Nov 07. Neilson guy from Alberta is still employed with the Company, and in the last communication indicated that financials are presently being reviewed by regs. Just passing that along.
Off topic of Transakt, but something you guys might want to take a look at. Another Canadian Co called "Plaintree" looks like they are going to re-invent themselves. This Co has been beaten up badly over the past eight years. There are some posts about new direction the Co is taking on Stockhouse. If I could I would put them here but don't know how. I am in this Co and have been for three or four years, and for some reason I have always felt comfortable with Watson. He doesn't semm like a B/S type of guy. Not a pump, check it out on your own.
I just cannot sit back and listen to this without some kind of a reply. I have been listening to many on this forum tout this stock with one MM till .60 1.00 1.25 and on and on. It's going to da moon.
This, by any standards, is a new public company. Yes, it is in a growing sector but it has lots of competion.
The equity market is not what it used to be; high commissions, lethargic trading times, shoddy information about a company that took weeks to get.
Everything is instant now, commissions are cheaper than a bottle of wine, day trading, way too much analysis and too many decisions made on charts.
To me this is a solid company, great management, excellent focus, aggressive and open.
Will they succeed? There are no guarantees. Time will tell.
I have mentioned this Company on MySpace.
As for manipulation--I have always been able to buy when I wanted, at what price I wanted. Those who bought at $2.35 obviously thought it would go higher and the future will prove that it will. How long-Who knows.
There are billions of shares in other companies, and they are all competing for your dollar in the greatest freemarket in the world. Don't expect miracles.
Nothing further to come.
You people who are having problems with E-Trade for DPDW should be hounding their management. I have never had a problem purchasing and have done so recently on-line. Maybe the problem is not with that Broker but with some type of regulatory restriction in your jurisdiction. There is a problem here, in that I can buy and sell and you cannot.
No further posts.
First and last post. I just purchased using on-line E-Trade within the past week and months. Better check with your E-Trade broker to find what the problem is.
I will pass this on and retreat:
I just finished a conversation with Jamie Dryer concerning the CTO In Alberta and B.C. He indicated that the company is working hard to get this resolved and it is possible that in the very near future this issue will be resolved. He mentioned that required audited information could be presented to the regulatory authorities in the next few weeks. The largest hurdle facing this company, according to him, is the CTO in those provinces. This is what is hindering or slowing down the Lang-Sheng progress. He appeared to have confidence in the company and felt that it is very under-valued at its present price and I would agree. I do not think Kyocera would be purchasing a portion of Sanyo's business if they didn't think it would fit into their plans. I don't know if this affects Lang-Sheng, they are just a distributor of Sanyo's products, are they not? Kyocera picked up the cell phone part of Sanyo.
Just some further Stuff:

It's very cold here..gotta get back in the cave.
E-Mails are not being answered. I sent two; one last Friday and another Monday to this Neilsen character. The message was very clear: TALK TO YOUR SHAREHOLDERS. After no reply from him I demanded to know why he was being paid as an IR person. I did not expect and did not get an answer. The last couple of paragraphs in the latest release seem to indicate that Wu was pleased with the latest developments or did I read it wrong.
Back into my cave I go.
You are very welcome. By the way, I meant British Colombia, not Vancouver.
I have never had a problem purchasing Transakt in my province in Canada. One of the posters on the TAKDF board indicated that trading is restricted in Alberta and Vancouver. I have no idea why the security regulators in those provinces are doing that at this time. I am in an Eastern province. Appx eight months ago I could purchase Transakt over the phone but since that time all my purchases have been electronic with no problems. News ( good news that is ) needs to come out of this company soon. The silence has been deafening. I have no complaint with the security regulators in my province. This problem could rest with the actual Investment firms that people are using: TD Waterhouse, E Trade, and so on. They may be concerned that this equity is being manipulated and this is their method of protecting their clients accounts. I wish I had more to tell you. I am sure that you can access E Trade in the U.S. by a 1-800 or 1-888 number (toll free) and possibly ask them what the problem is. Your personal broker should be able to help. Take care.
For info on this problem please refer to board on Stockhouse Canada. No other post forthcoming. Take care and have a Great New Year.
