I could imagine how the Dr. Scholls thing went down. Imagine them saying what a great product ActiPatch was and they wanted to support a rollout with advertising. Then Andy says he wants to be in charge of all the money. Dr. Scholls: *Backs away slowly* LOL Like they would hand over cash to Uncle Andy.
Agreed. Hope is slim at this point. The future is bright for bioelectronic medicine, it's just looking less and less likely that BIEL will be involved in that future. 10 years being the only game in town with the tailor made opioid epidemic in their laps and no sales. SMH
"Stay the course"-Uncle Andy
Stuff that mattress
To make the debacle even worse, Andy, Kelly and maybe few other employees should have been working there own doctors and chiropractors for the last ten years. It should have started with Andy at his family doctor telling him about it and giving him free Actipatches to give to his patients, as many as he needed, then Kelly and a few others do the same. The Maryland area should be a shortwave therapy hot spot. 10 YEARS for god's sake. Doctors could have written scripts for it if they knew about it.
They should have worked on doctors in Maryland for the past 10 years to get things rolling via prescription. Canada has been open for business for years. If this product didn't work spectacularly well for my shoulders, elbow and wrist I never would have bought any shares. It's just so hard to believe management could be so inept for so long.
The shelf space at CVS was a big surprise and quite impressive. that being said, I agree that it is likely a squandered opportunity without marketing support. I know if I walking into CVS and saw a device for 20-30 dollars that I didn't know, I'd laugh at it and consider it like those idiots that put crystals in their rooms to promote healing. I bought an ActiPatch many years ago while flipping this stock on a whim, been a hardcore user ever since.
Don't forget laser beam focus, Steve. I'm thinking if we don't have some moderately good news released in about 4-6 months, we will see the 'We'd like to thank Keith for his service and wish him luck in his future endeavors' press release. It is a crime that with healthcare costs at crippling levels and addiction rampant in this country, something as inexpensive as ActiPatch isn't a first line therapy.
On deck for BIEL, Viking:
1. Re-launch of Smart Insole
2. 510k submittal
Those are likely. The problem is that wont move the share price more than temporarily at best. The only things that will move us up is either a sales increase or a partner of some sort willing to spend money to produce sales. I can't imagine anybody giving Uncle Andy money and saying get to it. I would want the other company to be in control of any effort to spend advertising dollars.
