Newsom Fills Feinstein's Empty Senate Seat With Wealthy Black Lesbian From Maryland

(apparently no Black woman residents of California are qualified)
In 2021, California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) vowed to replace any Senate vacancies with a black woman.
On Sunday, he did just that following the death of Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D), appointing the first black lesbian to ever openly serve in Congress.
Laphonza Butler, president of of pro-abortion organization EMILY's List who served as a senior adviser to Kamala Harris' very failed 2020 presidential campaign, and currently a resident of Maryland, was announced as Feinstein's replacement in a Sunday night announcement by Newsom.
Butler will finish Feinstein's term, which runs until 2024, after which she may face off with Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who had been hoping Feinstein would live till the election so he could slide into the Senate.

House Administration Committee, Capitol Police Investigating Democrat Jamaal Bowman for Pulling Fire Alarm to Delay Government Funding Vote
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2023/09/30/house-administration-committee-capitol-police-investigating-democrat-jamaal-bowman-for-pulling-fire-alarm-to-delay-government-funding-vote/
Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) allegedly pulled a fire alarm in the United States Capitol complex moments before the House was scheduled to vote on a bill preventing a government shutdown, according to the House Administration Committee.
U.S. Capitol Police and the House Administration Committee, which oversees House operations and Capitol security, are investigating.
A photo being circulated by Capitol Police appears to show Bowman pulling the fire alarm, as reported by Punchbowl News.
Falsely reporting a fire is a misdemeanor crime in the District of Columbia punishable by a fine or up to six months’ imprisonment.
A spokesperson for Bowman released the following statement claiming that Bowman “did not realize he would trigger a building alarm as he was rushing to make an urgent vote.”
Bowman claims he “thought the alarm would open the door.”
Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) gave a long filibuster speech minutes later as Democrats attempted to delay the vote on a 45-day extension of government funding. The bill eventually passed by a large margin after the incident.
Rep. Jim Banks is among those calling for Bowman’s arrest, tweeting the possibility that Bowman’s actions could be part of a conspiracy among Democrats.
Many of the defendants from Jan. 6 were charged for similar conduct, as pointed out by the mainstream media and Donald Trump Jr., who called for Bowman’s immediate arrest.

iPhone 15 Pro Sales Threatened By Phones Overheating Up To 122 Degrees

Sales of Apple's newest and priciest iPhones may be chilled by a growing chorus of user complaints about the phones overheating to the point of being too hot to hold and even shutting down on their own, with some testers recording temperatures above 120 degrees. Depending on the cause, Apple may only be able to address the issue by reducing performance.
About half of Apple's revenue comes from iPhone sales. This latest development will won't boost the company's shares, which had already fallen 6.6% over the last month, compared to a 3.18% loss for the computer and tech sector, according to Zack's.
The complaints are circulating around Apple's iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, which have only been on the market since Sept. 22 for regular retail sales, and Sept. 15 for pre-orders. The iPhone 15 Pro starts at $999 and the Pro Max at $1,199. The priciest version asks $1,599.
Trump Rages At "Deranged" NY Judge's 'Corporate Death Penalty' Decision
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/trump-rages-deranged-ny-judges-corporate-death-penalty-decision
Nazis applauded by Canada's Parliament; Chinese money sent to Joe Biden's address; CIA busted using Fauci as a COVID patsy; border crisis at max dissonance; Biden's ratings at record lows; West losing focus on Ukraine war...
If ever a 'distraction' was needed it was now... and the playbook says 'Get Trump'.
Right on cue, in a stunning decision on Tuesday, a New York State judge found - with no trial or jury - that Donald Trump, his family, and his business, theTrump Organization, was liable for fraud, and ordered what experts in New York financial crimes say amounts to the dissolution of his company.
In a 35-page ruling, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron (D) revoked the New York “business certificates” belonging to the Trump Organization and any other New York-based business run by Trump or his family – while ordering that an independent third party will be tasked with “managing the dissolution of the cancelled LLCs.”
"It's a staggering judgement," said John Moscow, a former financial crimes prosecutor for the Manhattan district attorney's office.
"It means you are no longer a company, and the judge is appointing someone to take over the assets and distribute them as the court sees fit."
"It's comparable to once a person dies. A dead person can't sell property. Only the executor of the estate can do that – or in this case, the receiver."
Experts are calling it the "corporate death penalty."
As Sundance at TheConservativeTreehouse.com put it:
"All the banks and lenders did their own due diligence on the financing.
All operational loans and business loans were paid back.
There were no defaults or banking interests adversely impacted.
There are no victims of what the State calls “fraud,” yet the judge is ruling the Trump organization must dissolve all business interests in the state and exit within 10 days."
As you might expect, President Trump was enraged, blasting “The widespread, radical attack against me, my family and my supporters have now devolved to new, un-American depths,” calling Engoron “deranged” and James a “completely biased and corrupt ‘prosecutor.’”
“We are rapidly becoming a communist country, and my civil rights have been taken away from me,” he continued.
“This is Democrat political lawfare and a witch hunt at a level never seen before.”
Trump plans to appeal the decision, his attorneys said.
“Today’s outrageous decision is completely disconnected from the facts and governing law,” Christopher Kise, a lawyer for Trump, said in a statement.
“President Trump and his family will seek all available appellate remedies to rectify this miscarriage of justice.”
Eric and Don Jr. Trump took to X to slam the Judge's valuation of his father's Mar-a-Lago resort, which Trump claims is over a billion dollars, but Engoron ruled is worth between $18 million and $27.6 million - which is absurd when you look at the surrounding property values.

Canada's House Speaker Apologizes For Honoring Actual Nazi; Still Radio Silence From ADL
Monday, Sep 25, 2023 - 07:11 AM
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/zelenskyy-trudeau-honor-actual-3rd-reich-nazi-standing-ovation
Update: The Canadian speaker of the House of Commons has issued an apology after he asked the entire Parliament to give a standing ovation last week to a 98 year old Nazi Waffen-SS soldier in the presence of the visiting Ukrainian President Zelensky.
Anthony Rota issued the apology Sunday, claiming that the decision to honor Yaroslav Hunka, a Ukrainian who fought with 14th “Galicia” division of the Waffen-SS in the Second World War, was entirely down to him.
On September 22, in the House of Commons, I recognized an individual in the gallery. I regret my decision to do so, and accept full responsibility for my actions. Read my statement here: https://t.co/Hd9chtHFNJ
— Speaker of the HoC (@HoCSpeaker) September 24, 2023
“I wish to make clear that no one, including fellow parliamentarians and the Ukraine delegation, was aware of my intention or of my remarks before I delivered them,” Rota noted, adding “This initiative was entirely my own, the individual in question being from my riding and having been brought to my attention.”
“I particularly want to extend my deepest apologies to Jewish communities in Canada and around the world. I accept full responsibility for my actions,” Rota further stated.
Meanwhile, we are surprised that Jonathan Greenblatt and the ADL have not been vociferously attacking the honoring of one of Hitler's henchmen. That seems like an "anti-semitic" action being taken by Trudeau and Zelenskyy that should demand widespread condemnation from an organization that prides itself on rooting out anti-semitism...
* * *
As we detailed previously, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelenskyy - who commands a battalion of neo-Nazis - honored an actual WWII Nazi with a standing ovation on Friday.
Yaroslav Hunka, 98, fought in a Third Reich military formation accused of war crimes.
On Friday, he was honored during a session of Canadian parliament in which Zelenskyy addressed the lawmakers to thank them for their support since Russia invaded Ukraine, saying that Canada has always been on "the bright side of history."
Hunka stood for standing ovation and saluted, according to Canadian television.
According to the Associated Press, Hunka "fought with the First Ukrainian Division in World War II before later immigrating to Canada," another name for the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS, the Nazi party's military wing, also known as the SS Galichina.
Formed in 1943, SS Galichina was comprised of Ukrainians from the Galicia region in the western part of the country. It was armed and trained by Hitler's Nazis and commanded by German officers. The next year, the division received a visit from SS head Heinrich Himmler, who had high praise for the unit's effectiveness at slaughtering Poles.
The SS Galichina subunits were responsible for the Huta Pieniacka massacre, in which they burned 500 to 1,000 Polish villagers alive.
Following the war, thousands of SS Galichina veterans were allowed to leave Germany and resettle in the West - with around 2,000 moving to Canada. By that time, they were known as the First Ukrainian Division.
A blog by an association of its veterans, called “Combatant News” in Ukrainian, includes an autobiographical entry by a Yaroslav Hunka that says he volunteered to join the division in 1943 and several photographs of him during the war. The captions say the pictures show Hunka during SS artillery training in Munich in December 1943 and in Neuhammer (now Swietoszów), Poland, the site of Himmler’s visit.
In posts to the blog dated 2011 and 2010, Hunka describes 1941 to 1943 as the happiest years of his life and compares the veterans of his unit, who were scattered across the world, to Jews. -Forward
So, the same leftists who called Trump supporters Nazis for years are now honoring an actual Nazi - while Germany has notably locked up several concentration camp guards in their 90s for their involvement in Nazi activities.
University of Ottawa Political Scientist Ivan Katchanovski lays it out...

Monopoly busting lawsuit against Amazon expected next week
The FTC has been investigating the company for more than four years.
By Josh Sisco
09/22/2023 11:51 AM EDT
A long-awaited antitrust case against Amazon’s massive online retail operations is expected to be filed in federal court as soon as Tuesday, according to three people with knowledge of the matter.
The Federal Trade Commission has been preparing a complaint since at least the start of this year targeting an array of Amazon’s business practices. The exact details of the lawsuit are not known, and changes to the final complaint are possible until it’s officially submitted. But personnel throughout the agency, including FTC Chair Lina Khan herself, have homed in on several of Amazon’s business practices, POLITICO has previously reported.
That includes challenges to Amazon Prime, Amazon rules that the FTC says block lower prices on competing websites and actions regulators believe force merchants to use Amazon’s logistics and advertising services.
The lawsuit would be one of the most aggressive and high-profile moves in the Biden administration’s rocky effort to tame the power of tech giants. If successful, it could lead to a court-ordered restructuring of the $1.35 trillion empire and define the legacy of Khan, who rose to prominence after authoring an article as a law student outlining the antitrust case against Amazon.
One of the final hurdles before the FTC sues Amazon is to get as many states as possible to sign on to the complaint, said two of the people, who were granted anonymity to discuss a confidential matter. A large, bipartisan group of states would be a strong signal of support for the case, especially since there are no Republican appointees confirmed to the agency, two of the people said. A Senate hearing was held earlier this week for the nominees for those two vacancies.
The FTC circulated a draft of the complaint widely to state AG offices, two of the people said, though they declined to identify the specific states.
Negotiations with states could also potentially lead to a delay in filing the case, one of the people said. Additionally, the looming possibility of a government shutdown could delay a case further if the FTC is unable to file before the end of the week.
..
The results of any lawsuit are years away, long after Khan will have left the agency. And while the end game isn’t known, the FTC will likely seek a breakup of the company based on Khan’s previous statements.

Uber may be forced to hike prices by 40% if EU gig work rules passed - report
Sep. 20, 2023 3:55 AM ET
https://seekingalpha.com/news/4013486-uber-europe-gig-work-rules-drivers?utm_campaign=twitter_automated&utm_content=news&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter_automated
An Uber (NYSE:UBER) executive warned that the European Union's proposed rules for gig workers could force the company to raise prices by as much as 40% and even shut down in "hundreds" of cities, according to the Financial Times.
"If Brussels forces Uber (UBER) to reclassify drivers and couriers across the EU, we could expect to see a 50%-70% reduction in work opportunities," Anabel Díaz, regional general manager of Uber's (UBER) mobility business in Europe, told FT in an interview.
Díaz also warned that if gig drivers are given the same rights as full-time workers, Uber (UBER) will be forced to hike prices for customers. In addition, fewer drivers will lead to "significantly longer wait times."
"To manage costs of employment, Uber (UBER) would be forced to consolidate hours across fewer workers," she warned.
However, Díaz doesn't expect the rules to impact the ride-hailing company's profitability in Europe. "We have already proven our ability to grow in places like Germany and Spain using a third-party employment model."
Uber (UBER) contracts fleet management companies in Germany, because of which prices are higher and services are limited to major cities.
Díaz called on lawmakers to greenlight rules that preserve self-employed workers' desire for flexibility. EU lawmakers are currently negotiating the final text of the Platform Work Directive, aimed at improving working conditions for gig workers.
A majority of platform workers in the EU are categorized as self-employed, meaning they don't have access to labor rights and benefits.

"How Do You Lose An F-35?": US Military Can't Find Stealth Jet After "Mishap"
How in the hell do you lose an F-35?" South Carolina Republican Representative Nancy Mace wrote on X Sunday night, adding, "How is there not a tracking device, and we're asking the public to what, find a jet and turn it in?"
On Sunday afternoon, Joint Base Charleston, an air base in North Charleston, was working with Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort to "locate an F-35 that was involved in a mishap". The pilot ejected safely from F-35B Lightning II, but there were no immediate crash reports.
The fact that the $140 million stealth fighter disappeared without any reports of a crash means it might have gone down in a sparsely populated area. The Drive pointed out, "The DoD is saying the F-35B was put on autopilot prior to the ejection."
Military expert and former British military officer Frank Ledwidge told Newsweek the F-35 "could likely travel hundreds of miles without its pilot."
"Historically, an aircraft without a pilot can fly a long way on autopilot," added Frederik Mertens, a military analyst with the Hague Center for Security Studies.
The Washington Post quoted Jeremy Huggins, a spokesman at Joint Base Charleston, who said the F-35's transponder was not working "for some reason that we haven't yet determined."

Biden administration SUES Elon Musk's SpaceX for 'only hiring US citizens' and 'discouraging' asylum seekers and refugees from applying for jobs
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12442589/Biden-SpaceX-Elon-musk-hiring.html
(must be Joe's China partners complained)
The Biden administration on Thursday accused Elon Musk's rocket and satellite company SpaceX of discriminating against asylum seekers and refugees in its hiring practices.
The Justice Department is suing the company for backpay for people who were denied jobs.
'The lawsuit alleges that, from at least September 2018 to May 2022, SpaceX routinely discouraged asylees and refugees from applying and refused to hire or consider them, because of their citizenship status, in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act,' the Justice Department said in a statement.
.....
On June 16, 2020, Musk, who then had approximately 36 million followers on X, a social media platform formerly known as Twitter, posted: 'U.S. law requires at least a green card to be hired at SpaceX, as rockets are advanced weapons technology.'
