RE: cha-ching !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey EZ,
Hope this means your making money? .... how's it going out your way? Whats your thoughts on Fords closing the Wixom plant?
That plant is about 3 miles from where i live.... many in the area are extremely worried about the ramifactions of the closing.
How about those Tigers? :)
The Lions? .... Fords own them LOL.... but remain hopeful for a miracle LOL..... like the coaching staff though... we'll see LOL
Wings? >>>> bummer big time.... it seemed to me they remained in regular season mode, as the Oilers raised they level of play.
Hope all is well in Brighton,

RE:Tim~AID~seems bottom fishing
Greetings Mr KP,
Hope all is well with you, good to see you posting on this board.
"Curious about AATK? Hit my mental buy area but May is making me "gun shy" ... single worse day (yesterday) I've had in recent memory!"
Just my opinion here, and i have been out of the market for awhile for personal reasons and might be a tad rusty LOL.
Anyways
AATK and a few others that i have seen mentioned here look like good prospects, but, remember the trends, the general market and then the individual index's. And yes there is always a bull market somewhere!
"broke my disipline, thinking these stocks would recover, instead of falling my plan. Now I'm to the point of needing to average down on a few to cover some serious losses. I'm mad at myself- slapped me silly. Now ready to try and figure out how to preserve the account."
Hmmm... did you miss your stop loss?.... the game is so freaking mental, and even seasoned pro's will occasionally ignore their discipline. And when they do? ... they dont get mad, or frustrated, they just learn, make a mental note and move on.... then so much of this depends on your time horizon hey? If what your playing is meant to be a longer term hold, and in short term market corrections you see your lovey dovey take a serious hit, just ask yourself one thing. Do i still like the fundamentals of this company? And are the longer term prospects still look favorable? If the answer is yes, then averaging down is a good thing to take advantage of the lower prices.
But, if its short term and you missed your stop. And find yourself thinking about averaging down, well for God's sake watch your TA. Pick your spot and when you get even or close to be even got the hell out and then move on and consider it a lesson as education is never cheap!
And of course, i know you know this, so forgive me as i remind myself how this is suppose to work LOL.
Anyways, you might want to take a look at this chart, its the S+P Small Cap Index, looks pretty ugly right now. But a good looking candle is sitting there that might and i reiterate might be a early foundation for a short term bottom. But i would wait for confirmation for a reversal before i would think about buying any smallie right now. Unless its a commodity type stock which is in bull market right now.
The index broke its 50 day MA around 390, and has been heading south ever since.... not conducive to buying right now IMO.Guess it makes no sense to go against the flow hey?
If the chart doesnt show up, go to stockcharts.com and type in $SML, this should bring up the S+P 600 Small Cap Index. If this index isnt flying, i wouldnt count on any big action in the micro's either except a few here and there. To risky.

RE:DryClean USA
Over all pretty decdent Q..... this one is on my watch list.
Low volume stock, but could be a good one for a longer term hold.
PE of 20, with good prospects of above average EPS growth mskes this one a solid micro-cap play. Next Q will be critical for shorter term players. If they have truely worked their way thru the delays and maintain cost control the next 2 Q's should show a good pop in the top line which in turn will filter down to the bottom line. And at the current price would make this one attractive for a 18 month or more hold.Looks promising as far as price to earnings growth(PEG)
Plus the dividend looks good while you wait for price appreciation.
Solid play at this point IMO.
RE:Pretty good wrap up, Shooter.
Thanx mmaty,
You pretty much summed up how i look at the situation. In agreement in what you have said.
But i might add, that Walmart,(WMT) could be heading for trouble, the China factor will cause them problems down the road, as so much of their products they sell are shipped made in China. And the argurement has been it was good for the US comsumer, cheaper prices right?....still not totally convinced of that, and besides, when China re-valuates its currency, it will cause pricing pressure Wallys margins, and prices will begin to go up.... and along with falling US dollar, rising interest rates(although at the curreent time they are still historicall on the low end) with the fragile base of the US economy being pressured from huge and growing debt every little bump in rate will hurt, especially with gasoline prices adding to the inflationary rate.
If the dollar keeps falling, expect continued rising Gold and commodity prices, and inflation pressure to continue.
Good post mmayr,
Shooter
RE:Thanks- I'm underwater
Hey was checking some old stuff we both played with, and just decided to check on what used to be one of my favorite micr-caps. Remember TRIB? Believe it used to be Bowser pick at one time. Always thought this one was worth 5.00 anyways. I short termed it a few times. Made some money off it.Guess holding a few shares for the long term would of really paid off. I looked at the chart and almost fell of my chair LOL.
Heck we were playing this one in the mid 2.00's. Good case for keeping a long term position while playing the TA on the short term.
I remember back in the melt down in the late 90's... TRIB could of been fetched for less then a buck.
hmmm... a thousand buck investment could of brought the bacon home at the tune of over 20 grand?? WOW. Now that some investing LOL
Get a few of those in a ten yeat period, and your looking at some serious retirment money.
Always like the management team, often listened to the CC. Good to see them rewarded. Good story with a good ending.

RE:HDSN announces earnings on 4 May.
Tim,
I ran some fundemental scans last week. for stocks under 5.00 with growing sales 15% and EPS 30% or more with a PE lower the 25, HDSN came up... dont have the cash for it right now, but if i did, would be looking real close at the earnings coming up....like the PE at 15.Its on my list for newsletter consideration.... if and when that happens LOL
Stock is worth 2.00 bucks anyways

RE:METALS STOCKS
Well I have to agree with this Tim, Gold has been has been a favorite topic in BTS for a long time.Especially for PNH LOL.
Looks like he has his "Bull Gold Market"after all.I couldnt proclaim a Bull market for Gold like many did until it broke key technical resistence levels. It has, and now it will run according to the geo-political and macro economic factors, the wash out has been delivered and done with.
Although it appears the economy is doing well, it would do one well to pay attention to the Gold prices. As Gold has now gone beyond the traders short term profit manuevers.
Gold is now in the long term investment mode, true many proclaimed this earlier, and to them i must say congrads on the forsight.
Short term geo-political events do and will always affect short term Gold and other commodity prices.
But i'm concerned that we might be entering something beyond this.
As the saying go's: Fear and Greed make the markets go. I see a lot of fear going into the rise of Gold prices.History will tell you that.
Walmart is now the biggest employer of the US, and perhaps of North America, and the unemloyment numbers are fudged by the US government.
The national debt is totally out of control, and more then likely will remain so. The dollar is at a very risky juncture, and one would do well to think how long holders of US debt will hold on when the US is basically a bad credit risk!
So as we always talked in BTS... watch the feaking dollar. The little bull market we have had, especially in the small cap space is related to the recovery of the dollar.
At this point, IMO....watching the US dollar charts is paramount to selecting how and what to play in markets in the future.
We have a new Fed chairmen, that is uncertainty, Gold bugs love this.It will take time for him to settle in, and for all to get a read on this fellow. We are not dealing with Greenie no more.
My opinion on all of this is, until we move beyond the mid-term elections, and depending on how that all shakes out and what changes might be made in the current administrations fiscal and foreign affairs policy more the likely will determine what the future will hold for gold and commodity prices.
I wouldnt be suprised to see Gold possibly reach 800.00 a oz if not more until the next presidential election. And when the people of the country start losing faith in their president, it wont take long before the markets follow. And right now, and that could change in the future, but the numbers dont look good for Mr Bush and crew.
What scares me is the dollar rebounded, but Gold still continued to rise. What happens when the dollar see's selling pressure again?... and it will!
It comes down to this: and this we talked about a lot in BTS, and Paul was in front of the curve. You cannot cut taxes, go to war, borrow money, print money, go to war again, borrow more money, print more money and let oil companies have a free hand in making record making quarter after quarter after quarter. To the American citizens exspense, and eventually the economy. There has been no pressure at all by the current adminsitration to push the Big Oil in re-investing capital gains into increasing production capacity...... why should they?....the more oil goes up... the more they make. Their cost is pretty much fixed.
Dont mean for this to be a political statement. Its just basic economics and common sense. You can't keep robbing Peter to pay Paul, and then borrowing from Paul to pay Peter back.Without some serious ramifications.
I think Gold, Oil and commodities area good bet for the next 2 years, with careful analysis given to the mid term elections come Novmenber, which could alter outlook.
But what the hell do i know, been out of this stuff for the last 6 months or so,LOL....hell i just like talking LOL
Where do i put the disclaimer LOL
Well, sorry for being so long winded, old habits are hard to break LOL.
Will be signing off soon, but hope to be back on line soon as possible.
Just had to post for old time sake LOL.
Take care, and good luck to all.

BTS Top Gun Challenge Results: 2005 1st Q
Here are the results for the BTS TOP GUN CHALLENGE 2005.
The Changes:
We gave more weight to the BTS monthly challenge this year, so that
the longer term players who do not trade that often(preventing them
from scoring high on the Top Gun Winners list) would be able to off
set that by scoring high in the BTS monthly challenge.
Also, we will be changing our fiscal year in April 05... this will
cause the current Top Gun Challenge to be a shortened version. The
current version of the 05 BTS Top Gun Challenge will run from Nov
2004 to March2005.Meaning that this Q will end this month... and for
the 2nd Q, there will be only 2 months. Feb and March.Awards will be
handed out in late May or early June( dates and location to be
provided later) at our annual BTS convention. For those who cannot
make the convention, and you win a BTS award, the awards will be
mailed to you.The type of awards will be announced at a later date.
But they will be nice in any case.

RE:I looked at TGAL and ARTX
I,m liking TGAL on a long term basis, the stock can be flipped on TA buys and sells. The company will see choppy results in the next few Q,s.... but i expect some revenue traction to occur within the next 4 Q,s if not sooner.... good contract wins and re-ups with some old customers. Financing still a question mark. I,m getting hammered on this one right now, but still it a 5.00 stock in 12 to 18 months IMO.Chip companies are beginning to re-tool, which falls right into TGAL,s expertise.Plus they are moving very fast into the nano technology space.
Risky play, but could pay off big going forward.
RE:Anyone care to try this..Sir John Templeton..
Hey CG,
Actually i think we talked about this in chat many moons ago.And have to agree with Sir Templeton in the most part.Trouble is buying at the bottom,(when does it actually occur?) And how many investors actually do this?.... when you take in account that the market is ruled by fear and greed.
But, never the less, if your a long term investor( more then 5 years) if you buy at market bottoms, or lets say within 10% or so and hold long term... you will do really well.Take 911... buy the S+P 500 index right after the towers got bombed....what would your return be? Hell, that was fear in its purest moment!
But then again, you would have to know when to sell hey?Perhaps the most difficult thing for the long term average investor.BTW,,,PNH... did this well with Gold!!
Many other dark cloud scenerio's have been played out in the past, if one would of bought in the face of a deadly market, and basically flipped off the dooms day fanatics, and remained steadfast, he or she would of done very well.
Case in point: the market crash of 1929... buy a stock like Coke the day after hold 20 years...
911...
Or perhaps black Monday back in the late 80's.... it was this crash that go me interested in the market in the first place.
My boss at the time, had the insight to buy the market on Tuesday and the next few weeks after. He is now retired with a few million to kick around.
But if i remember correctly, we had discussions in BTS chat about buying reccessions and selling economic boom times, in which i believe Buffet was a big advocate of.
Another is during reccessions, not only are stocks cheap, but more then likely you will find other good deals, such real estate, cars, ect ect....
So in summary, after you make a killing in the good times, stash the ching, be patient, and wait for the next " end of the world scenerio", then buy everything at a discount. For the long termer, this is how it is done.Of course there are some variations to the theme, but the bottom line is buy low , sell high...... and patience... with the understanding, no matter if your long term or a short term trader, the final result is in the operative goal. ... it all adds up in the end when you decide to cash out for good...

RE:I see. Well if you have time to check out Canadian equities my PRD
CG, have to agree with you and Tim, this is approaching over bought status. But, if look at the stochastics closely, even though it has broken 80, you have a positive cross over, which a lot of times will indicate a stock that is over bought might continue to be over bought. It became over bought last week, the stock backed off some, then resumed its upwardly movement.... if it continues to run, and you see a double top on the stochastics and RSI, and you have a down day right after, expect a sell off. This is a very tricky area here.
Depending on where your entry point is, you might do well to set your trailing stops in if your shorter term, if your longer term, hard to say, not familar with the FA. But i,m curious on the volume increase Friday.
TOP GUN CHALLENGE RESULTS: 3rd Q(April)
Well here we are in the 2nd month of the 3rd Q of the 2004 BTS Top
Gun Challenge.April turned out to be a break out month for Timhyma as
he took a commanding lead in both the 3rd q results and yearly totals.
Tim's totals included the coveted BTS Monthly Challenge " Hat Trick"
as he won each category gaining 10 points for each plus a bonus of 10
points for the "Hat Trick".Tim also scored big with 9 winning trades
for the month of April.
We also saw Tempo move up to 2nd place in the 3rd Q standings as
he took top honors for Aprils winning trades with his pick of
VWPT+362%(Tempo received a 5 point bonus for having the top pick.)
Harelyracer also entered the BTS Top Gun arena in April as he posted
gains of 57% on DYTK and ABCX.
Also deserving mention is Kauaipi's excellent pick of DFNS with a return of 117%
In light of a very difficult market in April, the BTS crew did
another marvelous job.

RE:streetshooter how do you get into the top gun challenge?
Hi Mick,
All you have to do is become a BTS member, and enter the BTS Monthly Challenge. And post some Top Gun Winners.
Points are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for the BTS monthly challneg for each category,5.00 and over, over 1.00 and under 1.00.
Plus points are awarded for each Top Gun Winner you have for each month. These are your stock pick winners that are posted with DD on this board or on the BTS Yahoo board.
We are awarding Top Gun Hats for each quarter, plus a warm up jacket for the Top gun of the year.
We are into the 3rd Q for 2004, but still time to join. This is the first year we are doing this, but plan on continuing the contest going forward. And will be looking for ways to make it better, and more interesting for all.
If you like to join BTS, give me a ring at Jazzstone9@aol.com

RE:Shooter or Tim?~VTSI~(Berlin Exchange
Hi KP,
Well like most of your questions, this one does not have a clear cut answer. You do ask good questions!!Hard ones, but good never the less.
On this one i can only draw from my limited experience in this type of scenerio.Which means, if the question is not anwsered to your satisfaction, call the company. If they cannot answer or come up with some type of pyscho babble in which you find yourself scratching your head and asking yourself "what the hell was that about"...it might be time to part company with this company.
Other than that... this is what i experienced a few years ago.I bought TRIB back in early 2000.I have played a few times and so has Tim.
Back then, the company was just entering its growth stage, and was IMO a very good Micro-Cap mid term play.Especially at a buck and change.
Well, TRIB decided it was time for some over seas exposure, and since it was based in Ireland with a few investment firms from there covering it, apparently they felt going" Global" would benifit all of TRIB shareholders. So they decided to list TRIB on the Ireland exchange if i remember correctly.
At the time, the market was going thru a major correction, and TRIB,s stock was struggling. The announcement was made a few months before actual listing.
In this case( i cannot say with certainity this is the case with VSTI) this action caused support to the stock price.
As the company did have shares in the vault to send over seas, but, it was not enough to support interest in Ireland.
So what happened was, the MM,s over in Ireland began to buy from MM,s in the US.Causing a shortage of shares in the US market.
Which in turn caused a small run up in US price..... but consenquently sold off once the share appetite got satisfied.
From there on, the stock price traded seperately from each exchange, until there was a shortage of shares over sea,s, you have to remember the age of electronic trading, in which all is possible within any given exchage,s rules.
So when TRIB went on a run, shares were exchanged all the time between exchanges.
If you or anyone else can access forgien exchanges, you can bet your sweet arse the MM,s can.
So, if your question is can they play with the stock... why not?
My advice, contact the company for the skinny, let their response be the gateway to your decision on this.

RE:Yep- high AH was $1.37
PS...check out the Yahoo BSQR board if you have the time,th prick was very quiet just a few weeks ago.The money stream activity i mentioned in the BTS Yahoo club coincided with increased actitivy on the BSQR Yahoo board,,interesting:)
RE:Yep- high AH was $1.37. I had a limit in at $1.34
LOL..Ye of so little faith LOL.... J/k actually i put in a sell order at 1.10 for 25% of holdings just in case the Q stank and the stock ran a little before the close.
Never hit it, so i think we are both safe for today anyways LOL.
CC was good IMO, pretty upbeat, i like the possibilty of spinning off the Handset division,or sale off.Could unlock some value here.
On the downside of the CC was lack of analyst particaption. Looks like they dropped of the Streets radar screen.
Not entirely a bad thing at this juncture.
Cash balance is around 15 mil, with reductions in cost and increased top line growth.Increased gross margins, definitly a improvment in FA.
Wild card in the short term is Baxter and of course general market conditions.
Tomorrow should be interesting.
RE:BSQUARE CORP (NasdaqNM:BSQR) Quote data by Reuters
Hmmm..... i see 1.30:)
Listening to CC right now.... up front looks like a excellent Q.... the turn around looks promising..... like the reduced burn on cash, indicating a tighening of expenses as evidenced on Yahoo board with x- employee,s who got chopped(bashers). I had a chance to visit employee message board. Looks like BSQR got rid of many who were loyal to x CEO, seems like their heads were first on chopping block and or also just dead weight.
So far so good.
RE:The gold/metal stocks have been beaten pretty hard
Be careful here,Gold is in a critical area, 425.00 is the key.
Gold keeps testing this, if it cant push thru with a strenghting dollar, might be wise to short.Double top with a possible triple top. These can be very dangerous if your long on Gold... great if it breaks thru resistence and holds... very bearish if it dont.
Attending The Worden Brothers TC2000 Seminar:
Tomorrow @ 10:00 am at the Troy Merroit in Michigan. If anyone in the area would like to attend e-mail me at Jazzstone9@aol.com.I have signed up and can have others attend as quests.I am currently looking for a top notch trading software for personal and business purposes for the BTS club.
I have the software now, but need to further investigate the potential upside of this trading platform.Cost versus results.
Currently using Stockchart Extra for stock scans, the TA platform is great, but the FA platform fails to impress me as well as their customer service, in which they need to improve.
Hopefully i can get info on some type of group discount for the TC2000...which i e-mailed stockcharts and get no response.
Shooter
Opened position on BSQR@ 1.15
Like this as a possible turn around stock, company has over 17 mil in
cash and seems to be getting expenses under control. They are in the
voip and wireless software space, and have a partnership with MSFT.
Sales seem to be on the rise and the stock is coming out of a highly
over sold status. There are early signs that revenue traction might
be takin hold,as evidenced in the 4th Q.Their Power Hand Set is a new
product entry into the market, and have just recently shipped seed
hand sets to customers. The down side is they might have to seek
additional financing to fund costs fund costs for increased
production, the unknown at this point is what kind of financing and
how dilutive it might be.This is added risk to this issue.
But any further improvment on the fundamentals, the stock should have
a good chance of breaking 2.00
Unless i see a further decline in the FA, i,m going to accumualte in
the trading range of 0.95- 1.15
Will take profits when its TA warrented.
Will set stop loss for full exit around 0.80

BSQUARE Reports Fourth Quarter Results for 2003
Thursday January 29, 4:05 pm ET
Best Top-Line Results in Eight Quarters
BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 29, 2004--BSQUARE Corporation
(Nasdaq:BSQR - News) today reported financial results for the fourth
quarter and year ended December 31, 2003. Revenue for the fourth
quarter of 2003 was $10.8 million compared to revenue of $9.4 million
in the prior quarter. Net loss for the quarter was $3.4 million
($0.09 per diluted share) compared to a net loss of $3.0 million
($0.08 per diluted share) in the prior quarter. In the fourth quarter
of 2002, the company reported revenue of $9.3 million and a net loss
of $11.1 million ($0.30 per diluted share).
For the year ended December 31, 2003, the company reported revenue of
$37.6 million and a net loss of $13.7 million ($0.37 per diluted
share). This compares to 2002 revenue of $37.5 million and a net loss
of $73.5 million ($2.02 per diluted share), including $14.9 million
($0.41 per diluted share) due to the cumulative effect of a change in
accounting principle related to goodwill.
"This was the company's best top-line quarter since the third quarter
of 2001, 8 quarters ago," said Brian Crowley, president and chief
executive officer. "Our continuing software and service business
reported year-over-year growth. Although the overall revenue increase
from 2002 to 2003 is small, it is significant considering we
experienced an $8.2 million decrease in revenue from the discontinued
Microsoft tools consulting business from 2002 to 2003. Clearly, these
results reflect a dramatic change in our business mix over the last
18 months. The top-line results, coupled with the dramatic reduction
in our loss year-over-year, reflects both growing acceptance of our
software and service offerings by smart device makers as well as
operational improvements resulting from turnaround initiatives."
Bought TGAL @ 2.13( Nano play)
Been researching this sector for a few weeks, plus did some dd on it in my tent when i was camping out, when i got bored looking at the naked trees and rain pitter patting on my tent top LOL. CNBC has been touting the sector for awhile with " Watermelon Head Cramer"leading the way.Might be a good thing maybe not. But never the less, this technology is going to be around for awhile, with its applications being unlimited, best implications i can come up with is this tech is in a very early stages of a cycle that might have a maturity threshold of 50 years.
I put in a order last nite with a limit of 2.17, since the stock closed at 2.15 the day before. I mangaged to luck out some on this, as the stock dipped to 2.10 before taking off. I bought it on the dip with a limit order.
Will set a stop loss around 1.85 or so.
Hopefully the news of Nano index keep the big mo going for this one, will researching other nana plays too in hopes of finding one right at lift off, or on a pull back off a run up.

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Merrill Lynch thinks extremely little things could one day make investors a lot of money.
The firm is introducing the Merrill Lynch Nanotechnology Index, which will include equal weighted holdings of 25 companies that have a significant amount of their future profits tied to this miniature technology.
The index will be quoted by the American Stock Exchange under the symbol "NNZ", but it isn't something in which people could invest directly, the firm said.
"We believe nanotechnology could be the next growth innovation, similar in importance to information technology over the past 50 years," Merrill technology analyst Steven Milunovich said in a Thursday research note. "Nanotech is real - the questions generally are when, not if."
Nanotech, the name of the science of making things less than 100 nanometers in size (a nanometer is one-billionth of a meter), isn't a separate industry, he said, but a new approach applied to various sciences.
The following companies will be included in the index: Amcol International (ACO), Applied Films (AFCO), Altair Nanotechnologies (ALTI), Biosante Pharmaceuticals (BPA), Caliper Life Sciences (CALP), Cabot Microelectronics (CCMP), Emcore (EMKR), FEI (FEIC), Flamel Technologies (FLML), Headwaters (HDWR), JMAR Tech (JMAR), MTS Systems (MTSC), Nanometrics (NANO), Nanophase Technologies (NANX), Nanogen (NGEN), NVE Corp. Weekend Stock Idea's: Accumulation/Distribution Scan
Ran this scan for all the folks that follow this board.
This weekends scan features a money flow indicator that many do not follow to much. But is a powerful scan if used with other TA indicators. What we did here is search for stocks that have a accumulation /distribution cross over.... which is very similar to your MA cross overs. But are indicating a negative money flow situtation to a positive money flow, which many technical traders will construe as being bullish. And could lead to a quick profit, and in some cases a very good run.
So what you have is stocks that have had money flowing out of them to stocks that have more money going into them then out. Simple concept here.
BTS Notes:This scan is best used with stochastic cross overs and 3x10 MA cross overs, and perhaps the MACD cross over. All you will need is 2 indicators, more then that and you could cancel out your objective. A money flow indicator and momentum indicator is all is need here.
Also, its important look at the FA, look for strong TA strength and improving FA or a strong sense that the FA will improve going forward.
Remember to set your stop loss, and if you pick a big winner, play your trailing stops to protect you profits.
Good luck and if you pick a winner from this scan, please post it on this board or the Yahoo BTS board.

4th Annual BTS Chat @ 9:00PM EST Tomorrow Nite
Hope everyone can make it. If there is one chat you can make, make it
this one. Many of us have not been to chat in long time, and we also
have many new members. So why not take this Friday nite to get to
know everyone or perhaps to touch base with other BTS memebers you
havent talked to for a while.
Along with our usual stock and market talk, all subjects are open for
discussion. Including our BTS convention the managers are working on
right now and other possible up and coming events that are now on the
table to make BTS a better place to discuss your investments and to
help everyone better themselfs.
So if your free this Friday nite, point your mouse to BTS Chat.
And the cheese is free for your mouse!
Ok EQ, here is a Short Scan For You.

RE:Streetshooter - these boards are so much fun
Hey Eq, been to freaking busy lately, not as active as i was before, but still throwing a play here a play there. Going to short Gold tomorrow, with Saddam,s capture we should see a rally on the dollar and a pop in the overall markets, with Gold selling off.
Did well with my GG puts last week.
Looking hard at some beat up fiber stocks for long plays. Thought here is that these are economic sensitive stocks, and with a improving economy and the advent of VOIP, the glut in fiber should be getting close to getting burned up. Should start seeing some growth in that arena IMO. The stocks still look ugly, but we are nearing the end of tax selling season, might be a good time to go long and play short term on these.
We,ll see, still looking and researching the sector.
But believe thw VOIP sector will see huge growth going forward, but the stocks have already had a huge run, looking at alternative plays, which takes me to fiber, or broadband.
Hey speaking of bashers, for the record, ever bash a basher? LOL.
I have a OTC bb i own, plan on buying more for a short term play, TALL...you,ll have fun with this one, but on the TA side of it, it has a habit of hitting the mid 0.02,s and bouncing to the 0.04,s... figure if they ever stop diluting the crap out of it, one of the runs might catch and bring some big ching chings, LOL.... but made some good short term money on it, those 50-80% ones in a few weeks.
So bash away my friend LOL....
Should be ready to do it again. The financials are ugly, but its a tradable OTC BB, and the longs hate too,LOL..... as they claim its us traders that prevents the stock from taking off,LOL.
Take Care,
Shooter
Dr Mr EQ,
Your reputation proceeds you LOL.
What i learned a long time ago, and any pro trader or investor will tell you if one is is hell bent on reading the boards( which all should be taken with a grain salt IMO,unless you can read thru all the dribble) is one should pay attention to the so called bashers before your decide to throw your money at a stock. ......Because if there is something wrong with it, they will tell the whole world about it LOL
Now the basher that is heavly shorted on the stock and has a habit of stretching the truth to make his or hers case is another matter or personal insults.
But if i do use the boards as a part of my DD process, the first place i look is what the bashers are saying. And then follow up on their claims,if i agree on what they are saying i avoid the stock or might short it myself. If not,and after some exclusive dd, i will buy and ignore what they say.And wait for a short squeez arooni LOL.Which the shorts always love LOL.... got squeezed a few times myself LOL.
Who says the bashers are bad guys? hell they have saved me alot of money... just have to pay attention and know what to look for,LOL
Once the Fed starts raising rates soon i look for the US Dollar to recover, as foreign investors start buying US debt. Will be looking for a TA reversal on the dollar and the shorts to cover... when this happens Gold should be a good short play.
As well as the Euro.
re:DBBD breaking out again
Damn wish i was CG, i dumped it long ago, and forgot about it.
Will have to revist to see whats cookin.
BTS TOP GUN CHALLENGE RESULTS 1st Quarter Sept-Nov 03
Here are the results for the 1st Q Top Gun Challenge.
Wanted to thank everyone that particapted in first ever BTS Top Gun
Challenge, and hopefully we,ll see more members get involved as time
goes on.
In the 1st Q Challenge we saw Tim jump off to a great start by
smoking the Street in Sept and Oct, with Pleasenohype, Shooter and
Canadagreece fighting it out for 2nd place. But in November
Canadagereece caught fire and made a serious run at Tim,s 1st place
status, but pulled up short as Tim hung on to claim the Top Gun title
for the 1st Quarter. With Canadagreece finishing strong to claim a
solid second place.
There were plenty of good picks to go around in the 1st quarter, as
the challenge produced a lot winners.
Still more then enough time to get involved, and remember we have
restructured the point system so just by playing the BTS monthly
challenge can get you a lot points to score high in this quarters
challenge and for the year end totals for BTS Top Gun Of the Year.
And Congrads to Tim for a outstanding quarter and being the first
ever BTS Top Gun.

RE:street - would you like me to review
EQ,
Been a real tuff year for me,lost my dad last Jan,and it was a hard loss.A few job changes also. But made some good ching the last year in the market, and even a few bucks in the OTC BB world LOL.,,,, its nice to spot the pump before it happens LMAO!!.... but i dont post on the public boards as much as i used to.Dont have time to filter out the BS anymore.
But if you want, yea go ahead a give us a taste of the ESWW balance sheet and cash flow statements. I already looked at them, and i say the value of this company is no more then 10 cents, if that.
But, we have a little bull thing going right now, and that as well you know can lift up even the most debatable companies... nature of the beast i quess. So if ESWW went to 3.00... wouldnt suprise me at all LOL. But that dosent mean it a good FA play.It just happens(simplistic?)...blind luck?? Who knows LOL
So whats going on in your world these days?
Good stuff i hope.
Shooter
RE:ss,
I didnt ask you if they were current did i?....if balance sheets bore you then how can say any paticular company either it be a OTC BB,NAZ,AMEX,or any Canadian exchange is a good investment?
Let me make one thing clear to you...even though we encourage all types of investment talk in BTS, we also have worked very hard in establishing BTS as a top notch investment and traders club, we are a honest and sincere club, and we make very very good returns on our money.
And BTS has not and will never be a place to mimic RB!!!
I didnt ask why ESWW is a good investment did i?
All i asked was what the balance sheet looks like?
Nothing more, nothing less.
I didnt need to see a positive spin on a story stock going for
80 cents with $500,000 in sales last Q..and a piss poor balance sheet.
I can buy into as 5 cent stock with the same FA or better and get a quick 50 to 100% gain within a month or so.... and better sales.
BTS is not a pump board!!!
Appreciate this or leave it!!!!
RE:This place is turning into a circus
Your right rouster, and it stops now.
Hey EQ!!!
Damn, long time no see, or post whatever the case might be!!
Hows my favorite basher and shorter doing? LOL
Miss your arse over in BTS on Yahoo, and your FA knowledge. If something was potentially disasterous in any of the BTS picks, we could count on you to point that out, abeit a few ruffled feathers LOL.
What 95% of the on line investors really dont understand is the importance of the "True Fundamentals" of a company, which i have to say you excelled at.And you had a unique way of filtering out all the BS... which saved some serious money for the BTS membership, in avoiding a bad investment.
And this is very important!!!!
If i said hey EQ, thinking about putting some ching into XYZ, and the FA looks good to me,( balance sheet, A/R. A/P. LT Debt, ... Debt to Equity ratios, Leverage Ratio,s, ect ect)
You know the guts of the company,LOL.... its was good to know we had someone that without any hidden agenda to confirm or point out some red flags.... myself, and i,m sure others really appreciated the effort.
And sometimes your analysis might have caused a few shock waves, and as a manager of BTS, managment could of been more clear on the importance of hearing the side of story without anyone getting pissed off!!
We are here to learn, and evolve as a club, and in the last year or so, BTS has really kicked some serious booty LOL.
Here,s my addy if you want to get back into BTS, we had a few techincal problems, and a lot of members got deleted. I sent out invites to all the members who got deleted using old addys,
Some re-joined, some didnt.
Your more then welcome to join us my friend...

Nice seeing you post,
