Sold off 8% of my holdings at $14.75. Pays off my entire investment and then some. Margin all paid off. And maximizes my 15% ltcg tax for this year. Gives me strength to hold the rest for the significant ride I still see ahead. Plus, if we see a dip from $15 resistance (in no way visible at the moment), I can take advantage of that to buy back in.
I’ll probably regret this as soon as tomorrow- lol. But I can always buy back in , with a higher future basis. It’s all good.
Amazing, I should say.
Global Foundries also represented.
My son is working on reading brain impulses to help artificial limbs work in real time. The amount of data is massive and needs to move at light speed. Will need to work in conjunction with real 5G - but there is a massive need in brain-machine interfaces for LWLG’s capabilities.
On TD Ameritrade, shares still show as 103.79 million.

Vein,
Since you’re asking for advice - my advice is never take advice from a message board (even this one). Your money is your money and your circumstances, need, age, ability to tolerate risk, other resources, etc etc etc will never be the same as others.
Use this board for facts, speculations, observations - but never for investment advice.
That’s something only you should weigh in on (and your partner, should you have one).
Good luck to you, sir.

(Who isn’t close to taking anything off the table with NASDAQ, partnership and commercialization news heading our way in due time)
That’s awesome, futr - congratulations!
Almost surpassed $10 today. Stunning. Yet I’d be less than honest to say I’m satisfied. Call me greedy but …
Indeed! 734% net gain here.
Volume on buyout will be 20x what we’re seeing today.
Amazingly, we’re up over a dollar on less than 600,000 shares trading. Imagine when demand really kicks in.
Steve,
Good DD, as usual. But isn’t IMEC a non-profit? If so, I’m not sure how they would weave into our orbit.
Perhaps Dr. Lebby used their photo specifically because it was a non-profit and thus wouldn’t be as likely assert a proprietary claim against having their photo ‘generically’ used by LWLG.
Or perhaps they are helping us with enhancements in the fab processes for future uses? Although I’d think we’d need to be funding them somehow for that to be the case.
Interesting find - this is a long-winded post that basically says “no idea what that means” lol.
Positioned for another green open today. This is a beast!
I like the way you think.
Best possible thing for long-term growth. Need these pullbacks to let weak hands leave and put shares in new owners with a higher basis. This is healthy, people.
amazing strength on a down day for the market
You can see it here, Steve. https://thestockmarketwatch.com/stock/?stock=LWLG
Another ATH.
Lidar. AI. Video displays. Crypto. Oh and data centers lol.
Safe to say this is still cheap indeed.
My only concern is the overall market. Retiring next year and just my luck it crashes just as I’m ready to take some profits.
That would be a safe assumption-lol. I have a target price of $60 on this. The present pps has made me a lot of money already, but isn’t close to where I expect it to trade. I’m 67 and this is my investment of a lifetime- no interest in selling too soon.
Another all-time high close, I believe!
~ yanqui, who is riding Johnny’s wave!
Word.
I think so. Also trades on major exchanges will be free. Margin will become available on your holdings. And options *may* become available for the stock.
Big changes ahead!
Needs some volume and this should take off.
Excellent post.
So far, the trading has been excellent. We needed a little consolidation to keep moving up and the volume this morning gave us that. To watch us moving up again so quickly is amazingly strong.

To supplement, here’s part of a post by PhotonicsGuy late last year:
C. Performance Stability Over Temperature
"Over the last several years, our Company has made various scientific breakthroughs that have allowed for the synthesis of proprietary organic polymer materials that can withstand extremely high process temperatures of 1750C. Additionally, these materials have demonstrated photochemical stability, even after being subjected to tensor light for over 4,000 hours and exhibited little electro optic degradation even after 2,500 hours of continuous exposure to temperatures at 1100C – exceeding typical commercial operating temperatures of approximately 850C, as found in data center applications."
Dr. Lebby delivered a presentation in June 2019 at the World Technology Mapping Forum. During the presentation, LWLG modulators were described as meeting the following Telcordia GR-468 COREi02 Requirements:
- Para. 3.3.3.1: High Temperature Operational Life (HTOL): 2000 hrs at power, driver, bias and Ta=85 degC
- Para. 3.3.2.1: Low Temperature Storage: -40 degC 72 hrs
- Para. 3.3.1.1: Mechanical Shock: MIL-STD-883 Method 2002.3
- Para. 3.3.1.1: Vibration: MIL-STD-883 Method 2007.2
- Para. 3.3.1.2: Thermal Shock: MIL-STD-883 Method 1011.9
- Para. 3.3.1.3.1: Fiber Twist: FOTP 36
- Para. 3.3.1.3.2: Fiber Side Pull: GR-326-CORE 4.4.3.5
- Para. 3.3.1.3.3: Cable Retention: FOTP 36

A quick thanks to all who constructively responded to my question this morning. Much appreciated.
Still the best message board on iHub.
~yanqui
Again, why is IIVI giving demonstrations of their next-generation transceivers at this conference and we are nowhere to be found? Extremely puzzling.
Thanks again, Proto. I’m done asking questions for today. Got some answers- some still open. Seems that 1) none of our existing products rely on co-packaged optics, 2) direct drive functionality relies more on perkamine properties for a lower vpi than on computer-packaging architecture and 3) I can stop following conversations about CPO for at least a few more years. No idea why Google appears unaware of our solution to optics modulation needs.
Excited about this week coming - regards to all.
~yanqui
Thank you, Proto. I bow to your detailed knowledge of the sector. Much appreciated.
A couple follow up questions if I may - forgive my relative ignorance please? Is Polymer Slot a co-packaged product or don’t we offer a co- packaged product at present? And does our driverless potential rely on a co-packaged architecture or are the two not related?
~yanqui
Understood - but this remark was attributed to Google. Are we to think Google is unaware of us - or perhaps knows of us and still offered that assessment? Not trying to make a mountain out of a molehill but this stands out as such a major disconnect from what we’re hearing at EPIC.
I know Lutkowitz is not a fan of us but I follow him because,as they say, “keep your enemies closer”.
Also wondering why, if modulation is such a concern, there’s no discussion about us.
Lutkowitz has previously tweeted that co-packaged optics are so far down the road as to be irrelevant in meeting foreseeable challenges. One person’s view, however knowledgeable, doesn’t necessarily concern me - but from these comments it would appear there is some agreement in this IEEE crowd.
Interested in useful insights. It’s been an awesome 2 weeks but need to keep our ears open. Thanks for your comments proto.
Come on, Vein. You can do better than that. If you’re going to heavily invest in emerging technology, you darn well better do it with your eyes open.
I haven’t bashed you for never offering a substantive comment but please don’t be dismissive of those who do.
Are we presenting at this conference (OFC’21)? I would think we would but a quick review suggests we aren’t. If not - why the snub? Seems like a pretty important conference.
Any comments on this tweet from Mark Lutkowitz? I don’t pretend to understand much of it.
“The OFC '21 workshop on pluggable coherent optics today was a demonstration of what gets missed by the wasted time on self-serving promotion of suppliers' solutions. The last 10 to 15 minutes of interaction between the speakers was by far the most interesting and useful -- although we have trouble believing that Andy from Arista is a "big fan" of Infinera's XR optics after being so aggressively bullish on the availability and use of present and future -ZR optics solutions. Based on our earlier prompting, Andy did amend his remark to "800ZR is [hopefully] around the corner." While we have been critical about Google's Cedric in the past, such as an unjustified attack on NG-PON2, we found him refreshingly frank, and his stunning remark that modulation is always the weakness with SiPh needs to be finally and fully accepted in the industry. He also made the point that ZR/ZR+ is really only metro/metro+ optimized, which Ciena undoubtedly appreciates very much. Then despite OFC seemingly ignoring the entry of the O-band at least on the non-technical side of the show, we were joined by two other questioners on the matter, particularly relating to the plans of CableLabs. Lastly, there were not exactly ringing endorsements of CPO at this session, a trend that we expect to continue for the most part during the rest of the conference, including the one coming up later this afternoon.”
More than good. That’s the Two Cents story. Those enhancements are totally focused on photonics. Likely our pdk. Stunning.
I voted against the R/S. Haven’t heard a good business reason for it and they rarely work out well.
Sargeant Shultz. Lol
2 million coming right at us. Amazing week! Now let’s have a strong finish.
