Even if the plummeting SP distresses all of us, I can't help being pleased that we are getting timely, well-written, clear information of the kind we as average shareholders should have been receiving ALL ALONG.
A lawsuit would spell the end of this stock. Some (like me) have been holding for 15 years or more and now is not the time to upset this (rotten) applecart!
Amen.
Remind me what the issues are about. I am being lazy I suppose, not looking it up myself. Drilling difficulty of some sort? Too much GOLD??/ just kidding
I agree, Medinaminer, that "the whole story is upside down." I, too, am scratching my head. After 15 years of this, I felt I was finally done and could cash out. But no, it just keeps on going.
It's Indian English.
Are you new here? The person named Les Price was "cleared" of wrongdoing in one case but the court records show he caused financial harm to some persons in his past in Canada. It is all there on the Internet. Quite recently, before MDMN got involved with Auryn, there was a near JV, arranged with a known criminal in Sweden, who was connected with a company called Amarant. Others here can fill you in, if they wish.
I was getting tired of 15 years of this, and awhile back put in a GTC order of $15. Now I am thinking this company did better working with CRIMINALS. This is not what I expected. :(
If this is true, I will get sick. I hope this is not the case. The little guy, indeed, will lose out in this scenario.
Okay, DonD. I am looking for opinions and I appreciate your take on this.
Very little discussion here about the reasons for the stunning and steady decline of the SP. The SP rose dramatically in the past based on hints, fluff, false implications, misleading statements, hype and rumors, but now with solid and well-documented updates, it has dropped. Why? Is it because investors now feel that MDMN as a company has lost primary control of its destiny, in such a way that only the the small group of insiders might benefit, while those not privy to secret agreements like myself will lose out?
I am simply pointing out that the SP has lost half its paper value in the past 90 days. Can anyone tell me why?
I love the thoroughness of this info. Quite a contrast with...
Ha ha, "hollow resumes." That made me laugh. Remember also that Letts has a resume that references his having "attended many seminars?" (not an actual quote but an approximate rephrasing). LOL
Naturally, I worry that this selling is from someone who knows some information that I don't have access to. I try to tune out this thought.
Chartreuse at best.
I "liked" the Facebook page, as did two FB friends. I don't see KMT having liked the page yet. Really, the word "like" hardly meets the standard for accurate portrayal of my 14.5-year roller coaster experience. There should be other wording choices, such as "like but with deep reservations," "like but not sure I recommend this to others," "like, but have often hated this penny stock."
I know, I know, it's not important! But as a graphic artist I am annoyed that the new Website has some ugly fonts giving it an amateurish look. Boldface sans serif is hard to read.
Was a professional hired, or is that asking too much?
Do you mean the short video of men with red hats?
Super: It is amazing how this story NEVER ENDS. It was 60 days ago that I placed a GTC order with Schwab and Scottrade accounts, at the same time telling my wife that we have finally arrived at the point where we can sell once the SP rises high enough (and say goodbye, as it were, to all the amusing folks on these MDMN boards.)
Now, after having told my wife that confident story of success after 19 years of a roller coaster ride, the SP is 50% lower.
aba: Yes, a home run, but for whom? There is some speculation on the boards now that the interests of Auryn, and those of us ordinary investors, are opposed. I hope that's not the case.
Medinaminer: Sadly, I suspect you are not the only shareholder who is perplexed by the falling SP. Many of us longs honestly thought we had finally turned a corner. Some corner this turned out to be!
And, Superdow, if the results are bad, I will have gained NOTHING from nearly 19 years of holding this stock. It is painful to think I could have gotten out at .16, and worse to remember that I did actually get out at .16 and then bought the shares back the next day. :(
I, along with many others here, have been proclaiming that MDMN is finally growing up, with precise updates and reports of progress. Missed deadlines are finally a thing of the past!
Or are they?
Going on 14.8 weeks (December, 1999) I have been waiting 769.6 weeks assuming there are 52 weeks in a year.
Should we have a party to celebrate?
Lately the updates have been clearly written, have expressed clearly understandable and unambiguous plans of action, and in many ways are light years in terms of content from earlier updates.
Yet many of us still don't trust MDMN. For good reason.
I agree.
Last I read, Beth's deadline was a personal one, to at least get back up to a dime.
So much news lately, of the sort we had been waiting years to read. No one has explained why the stock price languishes.
Starman: As an old-timer and a long, I agree. Finally when what appears to be real, articulate, clear, unambiguous, truthful (hopefully), timely, on-deadline news comes from the company the stock LANGUISHES. Why? No one has explained this problem to my satisfaction. Can the reason be simply that after so many years no one trusts Medinah after all their lies, intentional misdirection, ambiguous wording (that has required lengthy Board discussions and arguments about the meaning of an update) false promises, and so forth? Is it that simple?
Now and then I start to think WHEN WILL THIS EVER END. As recently as July 31 I told my wife that we would finally be able to sell this stock soon. We will get out! I would remove my iHub bookmark.
But NO, with this stock, the goalposts always just keep moving.
Super: Medinah has had such a long run getting away with NOT EXPLORING the property/properties. Mostly, they have shown extraordinary expertise in POCKET MINING.
Sometime from now, we will start to find out if we were scrXX##!
Beth, not much here that I disagree with…
Good reply...
All true, Beth. But the rare, isolated blips were real nonetheless, and I even sold most of my holdings at .16 (only to foolishly repurchase them a day or so later).
You can't deny that recent board discussions have pointed to the newly-displayed clarity, promptness, and promise in recent updates, that can be contrasted with earlier updates, can you?
So you are saying nothing at all has changed?
I still don't get why the SP is so low. I don't recall such gloomy, supposedly realistic assessments of the prospects of the stock back when we were pushing 19 or 16 cents. Is this deal WORSE than the flawed, secret, supposed joint venture with the criminal, Ulander?
A strong, magnitude 6.6 quake hit central Chile on Saturday, shaking buildings and prompting power outages in the capital, Santiago, but not causing any major damage.
Myrtle222: I am not sure what you are asking. They were converted to shares, each with the same value as my other shares at the time. If, for example, I had 10,000 shares in the account, I was given 1,000 dividend shares. When they were converted automatically I ended up with 11,000 shares. That is my memory.
With Scottrade and Schwab, I did NOTHING. After the dividends were issues, I was feeling considerable annoyance that I would have to pay a fee to have them rendered usable, but one day after many months they converted the shares to tradable shares AUTOMATICALLY. I made use of attitudes at which I am greatly skilled: LAZINESS, STUBBORNNESS and ANNOYANCE. It works every time.
Good thinking and rationale for why the SP did not suddenly rise.
Yet, I am STILL stunned by the lack of response to recent news. Lying, misleading, underwhelming, misdirecting news that concealed behind-the-scenes deals with questionable, poorly-qualified, secret, or outright criminal groups had, on earlier occasions, caused this stock to skyrocket. But real, carefully truthful -- or seemingly truthful-- news about actual organizations causes the stock to sink. STILL don't understand I guess...
I am not shy to admit that I remain puzzled over the failure of the SP to rise following lots of recent news, of the sort we have been waiting years to read. Several failed JV's ago, if even a portion of the news shared in recent updates had been published, this stock would have taken off. But now, it slips lower.
Just call me…puzzled.
