Just seems like an ordinary everyday militant leftist to me.
Please change to 22,4,2 with 22 still winner.
Thanks
22,18,78 Please, 22 to win.
11,4,22 Please with 11 for Playoffs.
18,42,14 Please
Yep, really too bad. That said, exactly why Hahn loading the system with live arms and position players was such a good idea. Kopech should be back in time for when their window open in 2020. In the meantime, Spencer Adams probably gets a shot out of Spring Training and Cease could push his way up by mid year next year.
Really a tough year on the Sox for their rebuild, as quite a few injuries to deal with. Hopefully they got the all out of the way this year!
NO Winner Tampa Loser
What is next, NIKE changing their swoosh to the Hammer and Cycle? After all, their new front man is an unabashed Castro supporter?
78,2,31 Please. Had to change it up to try to climb back up the ladder.
22. 42. 11 pLEASE
WOW! Bears D is back to being Monster's of the Midway. Think that was a great trade for Mack, but some people here in Chicago are whining??? Really becoming a weak city!
I thought they would grab an OF this week, then they go and get probably the best available.
Jerry Reinsdorf is one of the better owners in all of sports! I am sure that Hawk had a lot to do with this too with his ties to Boston.
Perfect game for us last night. Lucas G continued to look like the is finally settling into being the pitcher everyone thought he would be and then they let the Red Sox win, so slow down the losses of draft spots!
Tonight should be a fun game with Kopech going up against Boston. Would have been really fun if Sale was the opposing pitcher.
DO you see the Yankees trying to swing a waiver claim trade this week? They really cannot depend on Judge, as even if he comes back, players coming back from hand injuries historically take a month or so after they get back to even come close to their past power and by that time for him, the season is over. Frazier does not look like he is going to be any help either? Could be a real challenge for them down the stretch without some help there.
I do believe they may be able to challenge Cleveland for the Central next year, but not ready to overtake Boston, NY or Houston. By 2020 they may be ready for that. I have watched their progress all year and see the prospects that are knocking on the door. Rodon is looking like the Ace he was predicted to be, Lopez and Giolito worked through their funks at the MLB level under Coop's supervision and Kopech to this point looks ready for prime time. One or two FA signings and they will be tough for any team to beat.
Abreu is not going to be on the market next year. The Sox are looking like they are going to be in contention for the Division and maybe make a little noise in the playoffs, but 2020 be ready to challenge for it all. Their young pitching is really shaping up big time right now and their young players are showing growth. Over .500 since the ASB and looking better by the day. I hate that we are losing draft position, but seeing the progression of the team, I can handle that.
Actually it was a wise move by the Mets, one of the rare ones. They know his bat is ready for the MLB Level, but glove not and probably never will be anything but below average there. Still that bat is prodigious, which means huge money is in his future. by waiting for April 15th next year, they gain an extra year of service time. As for Super 2, I am betting they do not wait for the extra arbitration year and do in fact bring him up as soon as the service clock ticks like Acuna was this year.
I am hoping that my White Sox do the same with Eloy, but those rumors are starting again, as he is just tearing up AAA.
Rondon is starting to look like he is ready to assume the role of Ace! Since the start of July, has given up more than 2 ER's only once and that was a game on August 15th where he gave up 3.
Sorry about my Sox putting a whooping on you. Been rooting for losses to get a better draft pick, but starting to root for wins now down the stretch. White Sox above .500 since the ASB and their pitching is really starting to come together. They may be in line to be next year's Braves!
Tomstocks, I do not see this going up above .01 without the R/S no matter what the Audited Financials say. That said, given the past history of this ticker and all the times the company has said "No plans to R/S", if they truly are looking to up list and grow further once that the debts are fully converted and audits done, I think they use some caution, so as not to carry baggage into the up list. In other words, my belief is they will have debt converted, announce the audit is completed and then say they are considering multiple ways to get to the SP needed for the up list. Then, maybe 30-60 days later announce that it has been decided that the R/S was the best way to go.... In other words, there should be at least a couple runs before the R/S needs to be worried about.
There truly is something about Michael Kopech. I was at the park last night and the kid just has that special something. Yes, the park was electric being the first start of our phenom, but wow! There is a pop you can hear when his pitches hit the catcher's mitt that you just do not get with every pitcher. While only 2 IP due to a 52 Minute rain delay, the kid had nerves of steel. Twins got two duck snort hits to start the game and Kopech just bared down and got out of the inning without allowing a run. 2nd inning right before the downpour hit, he KO's the side.
Of course he will probable have his bumps in the road, but this kid is going to be something special!
Anyone interested in a free fantasy football league. Have an IHUB League that needs six more teams. PM me if interested.
Do you have a post we can put out to a couple of boards? Maybe wait a day or so to see if anyone else from the old league jumps in? I am sure we can get at least 8-10.
How many teams are we at now? If you want, can post on the baseball board to see if there are more people that want to join in?
Adams claimed by Cards and Murphy by Cubs, so no go for Yankees there. I guess they need an AL team to put a 1B upgrade through waivers? FYI, some floating rumors that Hahn may have put Abreu through the process to see what comes up, but nothing confirmed yet. For him, Yankees would have to give up some big time prospects to make it work. That said, Yankees would get him the rest of this year for the playoff run and then next year.
I have watched a ton of WhiteSox games over the past three years and I know what above average and below average looks like. He was without a doubt below average the first couple of seasons as well as the early part of this year and now is rounding into not just an above average but borderline moving into the top tier.
Going by fabricated states could be why you are so displeased with so many of your Mets prospects and far too giddy about McNeil? Cannot go by the fabricated stats over watching them actually play.
If Andujar stays above .850 for his OPS, he does not need to be a top fielder. Just needs to improve enough to get that FP up above .965 or so.
As for Bird, tough call, but he is starting to look like a AAAA Player. That said, he is only 25 and has missed major time with injuries. Yankees may want to put him back in AAA and see if he can turn things around. Just imagine how happy you would be right now if the Yankees had grabbed Moose to play 1B before the Brewers got him!
As a side note, looks like Washington threw up the White Flag. Murphy, Adams and Harper all were put on waivers and claimed. Murphy and Adams are both very interesting claims, as no one knows what team claimed them as of yet. Both would be huge upgrades at 1B for the Yankees if they are the team that claimed either of them. From there, it would be a matter of working out a deal with Washington.
He was below average! Many balls that he did not get to that he should have and many home town gimmes on should have been errors. You just cannot look at a 22-25 YO as a finished product. While players like Gleybar and Acuna may come up and rip it from their early 20's or teens, that is not the norm or even close to the average. Most players do not really start reaching their prime until 25-26.
Now, some teams decide to bring players up that are not quite ready for a variety of reasons. Your Mets did it with Rosario and my Sox with Anderson and Moncada. Moncada I truly believe was brought up last year to make sure he had time to be mentored by Abreu. I believe Hahn was not sure if an offer was going to come that he could not refuse for Abreu in the off season and thought it was best for Moncada long term to learn from one of the classiest players in the MLB and a fellow Cuban. Not sure why NYM brought up Rosario early, but there is still work to be done on him, as there is on Anderson and Moncada. You have to hope your major league coaches can continue their development. In the Sox case, I believe that is working and will continue to do so.
I was going to say no way would NYY go after Machado with their current payroll, but see it is not that bad next year. They will have holes to fill and players coming up on Arb that will be getting raises, but overall, even if they sign Machado, may not even be in the top 5 salary wise.
Seeing Bird is still showing no signs of ever being a game changer type hitter, if the Yankees do get Machado, do you see them moving Andujar to 1B? Hard to imagine they would want to trade such a promising young player? Heck, I would love for my Sox to get him, as 3B is the one position that there is no clear upgrade ready to hit the bigs in the next year to two years and the guy that was supposed to be our stud 3B maybe as early as the middle of next year has been out all year with a torn Achilles, which given the long lasting potential effects of that, cannot at this point say he will ever reach his one thought of very high ceiling.
That said, I think I would rather get Moose on a two year contract than to give up a huge haul of our developing talent for Andujar. The White Sox are really deep, especially in pitching and OF in the minors. Thing is, it is impossible to say for sure beyond the top of the top prospects how some of these kids are going to develop. Since there are no WS aspirations at least until 2020, I would much rather let these kids develop and see what surprises are yet to come. Have had a few skyrocket from obscurity this year and sure to be more next year. That is what happens when you are extremely deep in 18-21 YO's that are still maturing.
You really need to take the blinders off. Tim Anderson is a great example of getting it at Age 25 after two below average seasons. In fact, you can see when it clicked for him, as he has made huge strides since the end of May. While at .969 FP for season, he was a mess early in the year and is easily above .980 since June hit. Yes, we too had fans whining about his fielding for the past couple of years and up until them, saying he would never be a good SS, move him to CF, trade him...., but now that he has gotten it, they are all very happy to have him. Sound familiar?
Over simplifying. 23 YO Kid with a cannon arm and needs a little work on footwork and mechanics. Plenty of 3b's with more errors and just a couple less than him. A few tweaks over the Winter and some hard work and he can easily move himself to the upper half of 3B fielding. Add to that his .860+ OPS and most teams would jump at the chance to get him.
Yes, but remember he is a 23 YO Kid in the pressure cooker of NYY! He has 13 Errors on the year, Devers has 21. Both have to make progress defensively to stay at 3B long term. That said, Andujar has a cannon for an arm, so if he is willing to put in the work, he should be able to make big strides over the next couple of year.
As a side note, Suarez, Longoria and Chapman all have more errors at 3B this year as well and there is a veritable slew of 3B's with just 1-3 less than him.
LOL! Was just having fun!
Can you put in a good word for me with your Yankees and have them play Andujar 20 games at 2B. Already a no brainer keeper for next year and would be great to get the extra eligibility. :>
I am set
I will check my yahoo email
Only thing that can make me happier would be a surprise Eloy call up for Tuesday as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sadly, that is not going to happen!
I am stoked! Going to a networking outing at Comiskey on Tuesday, so I will be there for his first MLB Start!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I do not like that hospital comment! Sounds like more than a bruised heel!
