Thanks
Thanks! Going to Jimmy Buffett tonight and wanted to make sure I did not forget to get picks in again! Who knows after a ton of Margs what I remember to do????
18,78,14 please
Nowhere to go but down from here????
Bird has a little more proving to do, as he cannot seem to stay over Mendoza line.
Andujar tells Drury not to think about grabbing 3B back!!!!!!

Bryant to the DL. Have to wonder about a nagging sore shoulder? To date, I have not seen any news of an MRI being done, but you would think they would have done that as soon as the soreness started? One of MLB's best, so hope he is not out long. That said, thrilled he is out this week, as my opponent has him on his team and was in the lineup for the week when the cutoff hit yesterday!!!!!!
When I was a kid we had bunting practice in HS too, as well as in the Little Leagues. Just do not think they do that anymore? Too much focus on the big hit, rather than fundamentals!
Unless you are in the final two innings and only down by one run, every team should demand their players slap it down the line.
Even if they cannot bunt, make them spend time in the cage doing a controlled half swing to put the ball away from the shift. With enough practice, there should not be a single MLB player that could not do that. On the other hand, the bunt is a different animal, as players can get mental blocks, worried about their fingers or if the ball is coming right at them. The controlled half swing avoids those issues and is just as effective, if not slightly more, as it could very well give the players using that against the shift some doubles on top of the singles with the batted balls getting just out of the infield.

May revise, but looks like I will be out of pocket for good part of weekend and do not want to forget to put in picks again.
Thanks
Hand is very good, but there are other LHP options on the market that would not be such a steep price. Cannot see this one happening.
If you are going to judge them based on their current numbers, then you best hope the Mets do not go into rebuild mode, as you will have a nervous breakdown. There are so many variables in young prospects way beyond numbers being put up. The Royals getting this return for a RP that will be a FA at the end of the season and so many RP's on the market right now with GM's shopping behind the scenes, did a good job.
There are a variety of reason players have different developmental paths and successes. All three players going back to the Royals have high projected ceilings.
Actually three high ceiling young players went back to the Royals. The 17 YO Pitcher supposedly could become a flat out stud. Maybe KC could have waited it out for more of a return, but on the flip side, if I were a Royal fan, I would hardly complain about this deal.
Alonso to AAA today. Just be patient. The Mets are toast this year, so you want them to slowly develop their kids, while making some trades of vets for prospects, with a possible DeGrom blockbuster, then lose way more games than they win to get a high draft pick. With Rosario, Nimo and Conforto already in the bigs, still good young pitchers and maybe an emerging Flores later this year, you can rebound quickly next year.
Stupid White Sox are winning too much now! Once Jimenez and Kopech are up, they are going to fall out of the Top 10 in next year's draft?
UHM?? Did someone flip the Didi Switch to on again?
AGon is a 1B/DH only, so would have to be putting up huge numbers to have any value in a trade. Reyes, as poorly as he has been hitting is still a player with multi position ability and only needs to show he has his head right and you will get something in return for him. Not a huge return, but if you are able to get a young minor leaguer, then you never know how they may develop.
Yep, you really need Bruce to get hot just so you can trade him.
Nevertheless, they did not want to bring Alonso up directly from AA. What harm is there in giving Smith some time there until Alonso proves ready in AAA? He is your real future at 1B, so you want him to be as ready as possible when he is called up. You have to face the facts that the Mets are now playing for the future, not this year.
Long term, the Mets are better off making sure Alonso is ready and also giving Smith one more chance to show that he is a real prospect at the MLB level. Just like me and my Sox, I want Jimenez up yesterday, but the Sox are making sure he is fully prepared before bringing him up.
2,18;4 please
Is Chapman ok.?
OK, thanks
I will see when I accept the prize. It did say "Premium" so will explore when I get it to see what it gives me. As a side note, Jose Martinez cracked a HR in his first AB, so already added another game. Now I need Machado to get a hit later.
I think I can get White Sox minor league games on that too?
Thanks! Got a free month of MLB Premium TV on my scratch off!
Misplayed it big time. Hicks would have had that one easily.
Gardner is a horse pucky CF! He should have had that ball! Hicks would have made that one look routine!
AnduXBHar!
I am telling you, your manager reminds me of Robin Ventura. So many of the same things happened with the White Sox under his watch.
I like the plan and I also think as long as they are healthy, their will be teams to take Ces and probably Bruce. While you are focused on the Yankees, I would keep Atlanta and Milwaukee in mind for that trade. Both teams have deep systems and getting a stud SP along with a stud RP could make them serious WS Contenders.
That said, I would think twice about trading Flores. If the other trades happen, he would finally have a set everyday role to settle into, which has never been the case in the past. He may become a big piece of the future for them.
Right now they are reminding me of the White Sox team the year they finally decided to go full rebuild. Of course, that team could have made the playoffs if they had a real manager rather than Ventura.
Montero going down hurt big time. At this point in time, maybe they should look to do a mini-rebuild. Keep the pitchers, as they are all under control, then put Frazier, Asdrubal, Cespedes, Bruce, AGon and Familia on the market to fully stock the system. From there, go big for Harper next year and they could be ready to compete if the staff is fully healthy by then.
LOL!
Not so sure Frazier is going to replace Gardner. He has hit well enough to be an asset due to he D play. That said, Frazier is ready.
By the way, how are they going to lineup this weekend against the Mets? No Dh makes it crowded everywhere!
Yes. Just saw he hit one too. Been getting worried about him, as Frazier is waiting in the wings!!!!
NICE!!!!!!!!! I think he is about at the point that there is no way NY could take his starting gig away!
