Seriously? A grizzled vet should know better than that when they are down five runs! NO EXCUSE AT ALL!
WOW! He must drink a lot of milk!
On that I can agree! I also enjoyed Rugbies 7 last weekend. Kickball though puts me to sleep faster than watching a golf painting dry!
TO me, it will always be kickball! Even worse after my local Chicago Bar started broadcasting the English Snob League on Sundays and cutting into Bears games, but I found a better place to go now!
Even with sound off in an Italian Restaurant, I thought I heard it!!!!!!! OUCH!
He is not a kickball fan?
Conforto drafted. Nimmo just dropped, but I do not need OF's. Only need this week is a C with Sanchez down. Could use another RP with Britton going to Yanks, but I get Osuna back after next week.
Saw that while at dinner. No sound, but could feel it even over my fifth glass of wine!!!!! To me, looked like there had to be a broken bone.

Not to get too proud and ruin it, but sure looks like I grabbed Rosario at just the right time. Grabbed him as an emergency fill in for Correa and he is starting to look more and more like he may be starting to arrive. FYI< it took Timmy Anderson a little time to really start settling in for the Sox.
Has the gavel fallen on The Judge's season????
Actually sounds like a bevy of youngsters. I am always telling my White Sox buddies that you do not need to get "Top 100" prospects back all the time, as after the top 10 or so, pretty much a matter of opinion. Getting 3 or so 18-21 YO's that your scouts love can be far better, as you then have an opportunity to nurture and develop.
That would almost make me think the Rangers hired away the Mets GM??? Not sure the Cubs have the prospects to get Hamels if the Texas GM is on his game unless he cleans out the system of youngsters???
I do not mean to rub it in, but I am so glad my Sox have Hahn and not your GM. This is an excellent return for Soria! 22 YO LHP on the upswing and will benefit from Don Cooper doing a couple of tweaks on his delivery then a 20 YO Cuban with a big time live arm.
Mets need to get Baltimore's GM who just got the Yankees #9 and 15th prospects plus another arm for Britton, while the Mets GM got some glue factory horses for Familia last week!
Going to kill me this week! Will hurt next week, then I have Osuna back. Got NY's #9 and #15 prospects and another arm outside the top 30.
Well, at this point, you want them to lose as much as possible, while some of your kids are showing progress. Much rather get a Top 10 pick then to finish 8 games out of the WC and be stuck in the bottom half of the first round! Then, hope your GM gets lucky while off loading some of the vets, although given past history, he will have to get quite lucky there!
Made a very nice play up the middle tonight. Also seems like he is getting his head right with his base running as of late.
Rosario is coming around. Had to pick him up as an emergency replacement for Correa and happy so far. Hope he keeps progressing, as he could be a keeper for me next year if he does.
Think it was a miscommunication. Andujar seemed to start moving, then went back to 3B and Sanchez slowed when he saw Andujar move towards it, then when he stopped, Sanchez ran.
Looked like he thought Andujar was going to go after that ball, then ran when he realized he did not.
Yep. Sounds like he may have been keeping the issues to himself, which is why no knew? Just do not see a team trading for him while this is ongoing.
Yes, but dating all the way back to last time he was on the big league roster, he has been having concussion related headaches. Sounds like he was not telling the trainers about those until after what happened on Thursday.
Speaking of Fraziers, looks like NYY need to shut Clint down for the year? This DL stint was actually due to problems he was still having from his old concussion?
LOL! I am dropping Fulmer tonight to add a SP with two starts this week and considering dropping Frazier. Had picked him up thinking he would get traded and finally get an everyday gig in the majors. With this concussion, just not sure. May wait a week to see, as going for the SP first and most likely will not get anyone high on my list in the 2nd round of moves.
What is the deal with Frazier? Do you think this concussion ends any thoughts of him being traded?
ARGH! So, maybe not a GM issue, but rather ownership issue? In a trade like that, you have to bite the bullet and take on some salary to get the best return!
Still a bad return for such a big time RP. International Money is a roll of the dice. The pitcher seems like he may have something and is just returning from surgery, but given that age, I assume he has to be on the 40 man this winter, or be eligible for the Rule 5. I will say again, I prefer when a GM believes in their scouts and gets multiple young players. Sox are starting to see that this year, as the young kid that was pretty much an afterthought in the Sale trade in Basabe is really starting to show some skills!
Not the return I would have expected for him! Still 10 days before the deadline, so you would think the Mets would have waited to see what happened in the market after Britton goes? Once that happens, the teams that do not get him will get desperate. That is what I am hoping for with Soria on my Sox.
LOL! Uh Oh!!!!!!
11,18,78 Please
I am just hoping my Sox trade Abreu for a nice return as well as Soria whom has corrected himself this year and back to being a top RP. Have some other pieces that will bring back smaller returns. Avi Garcia cannot be traded now due to his two Hammy injuries, as the return would be way down. Sox have to look to the offseason to sell him. Oh yeah, Big Game James Shields outside of a couple of ugly ones has looked like the old James this year, so he should bring back prospects too.
Depends on the player they trade. Familia should bring a very nice hail if they let him go. One of the Aces go and your system makes a very nice jump. Both? You may have the #1 system in Baseball.
Padres got a very nice haul for Hand.
NONSENSE! He needs to trade Frazier to a team ready to play him everyday! I just picked him up this week in hopes of this happening! As for OF next year, it is clear they do not need Machado long term, so they can go all out and get Harper!
Looking like Machado deal will be announced tomorrow. Either Dodgers, or Phillies?
I get what you are saying and am sure that fans in other cities such as Philly may be excited. Nonetheless, not having Judge, Stanton and JD leaves it as a lacking lineup tonight.
Lineup for HR Derby lacks any real excitement.
What do you hear on Frazier being traded for pitching? Snagged him off waiver wire in hopes he is the key part to a deal and soon!
