OCTL to konnikov
Octillion Corp. (OCTL) is pleased to announce that its research and development initiatives are well under way for the development of a new patent-pending technology using nanosilicon photovoltaic solar cells that have the potential to convert normal home and office glass windows into ones capable of converting solar energy into electricity. These nanosilicon photovoltaic solar cells are created through a unique electrochemical and ultrasound process that produces identically sized (1 to 4 nanometers in diameter) highly luminescent nanoparticles of silicon that provide varying wavelengths of photoluminescence with high quantum down conversion efficiency of short wavelengths (50% to 60%). The process of producing these silicon nanoparticles is supported by 10 issued US patents, 7 pending US patents, 2 issued foreign counterpart patents and 19 pending foreign counterpart patents. When thin films of silicon nanoparticles are deposited (sprayed) onto silicon substrates, ultraviolet light is absorbed and converted into electrical current. With appropriate connections, the film acts as nanosilicon photovoltaic solar cells that has the potential of converting solar radiation to electrical energy. Our present research and development work involves integrating films of silicon nanoparticles on glass surfaces in order to convert solar energy coming through home and office windows into electricity, without losing significant transparency or requiring major changes in manufacturing infrastructure. Among our current research and development initiatives are:
-- Construction of a small scale prototype window coated with nanosilicon photovoltaic solar cells;
-- Testing of photovoltaic conversion in the prototype window;
-- Optimizing materials used in the prototype window;
-- Obtaining target light transmission of 70% through the prototype; and
-- Conducting a cost benefit engineering analysis.
The Company's research and development work is being conducted at fully equipped research facilities located at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) pursuant to a Sponsored Research Agreement (SRA) with UIUC. The SRA allows Octillion to benefit from leading edge research for significantly less than conventional organizations, who often spend large amounts of capital for such things as land and building acquisition, equipment and furniture purchases, and other incidental research costs. "In addition to Octillion's unique business model which benefits from the existing research and development infrastructure of the institutions we deal with, we also try to confirm, whenever possible, the major financial details, intellectual property rights and exclusivity terms for any license agreement to technologies being funded by us well in advance of a decision being made for potential commercialization," states Mr. Harmel S. Rayat, a director of the Company. "This arrangement eliminates many financial and business uncertainties and allows us to plan accordingly." Stock Price: 3.16, Up+ 2.27% on 614,792 shares traded
China Digital Communication Group (CHID) - Wednesday's shares decreased 40.32% to $0.2620 per share with a total of 7,274,961 shares traded. The company announced a major restructuring of its business activities that includes swapping its current battery shell and 3G business for two companies in the wood-carved art and furniture and auto accessories business. The transaction is valued at approximately $75 million. China Digital said under the terms of the agreement, it will become the sole shareholder of Guoxi Holding Co. The selling company will get 100% ownership of China Digital's battery shell and 3G businesses and 150 million shares of restricted CHID common stock valued at $0.30 per share. The closing is expected to take place in early 2007. Guoxi Holding has two primary businesses, Jiangxi Xi Chang, a premier woodcarving company, and Shenzhen Hongda Gongyi Limited Liability Corporation, an automobile accessories company. In 2005, Guoxi Holding reported combined revenue for the two companies of approximately $20.2 million and net income of approximately $7.4 million. Jiangxi Xi Chang is China's leading company in the production of home shrines and artwork for the Buddhist religious market. Based in Yujiang, the company enjoys a market share of approximately 40% in the highly lucrative Japanese segment. Followers of the Buddhist religion in Japan are major customers of the elaborate wood-carved shrines made by the company. The company is the only one in China with a total process for the production of the shrines that starts with logs imported from Russia. The company has recently developed a new paint formulation that creates a highly desired high gloss lacquer finish. All of the products, which have a very high gross margin, are exported, mostly to Japan. The company is also developing new wood-carved furniture products, which will further establish a position in the multi-million dollar international woodcarving market. Shenzhen Hongda Gongyi Limited Liability Corporation is one of the top three auto accessory and upholstery companies in China with a market share of approximately 25%. The company developed the leading pearl cotton fabric production technology and operates a complete production line in Shenzhen. Ran Liang, CEO of China Digital Communication Group, said, "Because of the intense competition in the battery, battery accessories and 3G industries, we have decided to reorganize in order to continue growing the company. The global appetite for elaborate carved wood Buddhist shrines and furniture is large. We are also optimistic about the automobile accessories business, which is growing not only globally but also in China. Shenzhen Hongda has a strong market share in Australia and elsewhere. The automobile culture is still in its early stages in China and we expect the domestic market to become strong."

ININ going ballistic today!!
I don't know why,
but I'm not complaining..
MU may have hit a 10 month low
last week.
It has started coming up and
could make 25-30% from that bottom.
I am in and would be happy with
20-25% over next 6 weeks (by end of year).
another good looking chart for the China group is BJGP.
but the extemely low volume shouts 'stay away!'
I still like CHCG and LFC.
Konn-
Since AAPM is based in Nevada, but their main (only) branch is in China, and the basis of the company appears to be opening Chinese markets for American products. I think we can add it to our unofficial China Fund. I think maybe we should get a definition of what this fund is supposed to represent. If CHDX wasn't on the list, it needs to be put there right away.
I got some MIG this AM.
I think you are having a lot of good ideas here lately.
I am also considering CHCG, your mentyion of NEOL looks good,
and I still have my sights on MIKR.
TQNT took a severe dive last week,
do you think it will bonce back?
TJSS has tripled in past 30 days.
With this in mind, I forgive you.
LOL
why didn't you tell us to buy it a month ago??
I'll check into it.
Konnikov, this went from .12 to .37
in 4 weeks...

is LAKINGS a spammer??
same post on over a dozen boards!!
We don't need spam,
We prefer intelligent comments here.
It looks like MU is coming up
from a bottom.
I got a few shares this AM.
Expect it to recover a couple dollars in near-term.
Should get back to at least 17,
maybe 17.50.
HB's are finally behaving correctly-
I notice TOL and RYL down sharply.
Now if they will only continue....
CROX- my target was 36.50..
got there sold half..
now how long do I hold the other 200?
Am thinkin about 41.25.. 41.50..
But could get out on sign of a pullback.
am up over 20% since entry,
'its never bad to take a profit'
yes!!
I still have the DTLK and am up
over 30% since purchace on 9-29.
Thank you for talking me out of taking
my profits too soon.
Well at least for discussing it with me..
Those exits points have always been my downfall.
RE: not bearish on oil anymore
I like VLO and RRC at these prices.
I bougth BAS last week, up 5% this AM.

G'morn'n Konn-
and g'morn'n to everyone here.
I looked at that Leeds ebook.
Read about half of it so far,
will finish in a day or two.
Doubt that I'll become a penny trader,
but am in agreement with much that he says.
I am certatin that there are many good buys
in the $1 - $3 dollar range that will behave
the same as the sub-$1 stocks.
Chinapop-
since you follow the china's well,
can you give your take on these 3 please:
LFC
XING
CHDX
I have heard/seen nothing negative about them and
am impressed with the price performance so far.
Thanks in advance
konnikov-
Also should have mentioned ISIG,
I am up 8% in that this past week.
And may just take my loss and get out of TGC,
it is the only sub-dollar that I have
and has been showing signs of wanting to go sideways.
momemntum for past week or so-
looks good for these.
They should continue their climbs.
Check out the 30 day charts.
Konnikov,-

Nvidia shares surge amid takeover speculation-
2:57 p.m. 10/04/2006
BOSTON, Oct 4 (Reuters) - Nvidia Corp. (NVDA) shares climbed more than 8 percent on Wednesday amid speculation the graphics chipmaker could be acquired by Intel Corp. (INTC), traders said.
A spokeswoman for Intel, the world's No. 1 chipmaker, declined comment, saying her company doesn't comment on market speculation. A spokeswoman for Nvidia could not be reached.
Nvidia shares rose $2.32 to $30.62 in afternoon Nasdaq trade. Some 20 million shares changed hands, about double the three-month daily average.
Investors have been speculating that Nvidia might be acquired since July, when Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) agreed to buy Nvidia rival ATI Technologies Inc. (ATYT) for $5.4 billion. Rumors of such a transaction resurfaced on Wednesday, spreading quickly across Wall Street trading desks, according to three options market participants.
"There is speculation that Intel will make an acquisition announcement tonight," said Bill Lefkowitz, options strategist at brokerage firm vFinance Investments in New York.
Investors bought up call options contracts, hoping to profit from a surge in Nvidia shares if the company is acquired at a premium to its current share price.
Before noon more than 33,500 Nvidia calls were traded in the U.S. options market, more than twice their normal volume over the last 20 trading days, according to market research firm Track Data.
