The recent ORC Announcemnent....
Will someone please explain how they think or if they think that the latest ORC announcment involving the gov't space agencies involves Wave? I didn't quite get that from the announcment.
TIA
Hello Dutch-
If I remmember correctly you were going to be buying back in around this time. I wish I had some dry powder. Oh well. Would like to see some marketing push once the ERAS has gotten a chance to find a comfort zone in the market. Does anyone have any ideas as to when we'll see a marketing push? When will we start to see some write ups in significant publications? The ones from a few months ago are old news to the market.
Awk or anyone-
Any idea when Dell will start selling the FDE drives in Europe?
Goin Fishin - A question...
According to your report there was 1000 FDE's sold by the end of the second quarter. I 'm reading that 1000 FDE's sold per week from Dell. Is that correct??
Ispro- No offense here, but if no one is buying Wave's software and its going to take 4 to 5 years for TPM saturation what impact are we going to see in 'the not too distant future'
Is it going to make WAVE MONEY???
FDE guidance- I would think that SKS would be as vague as possible around the subject. I think the reason is apparent. If he does give guidance that will well be exciting. JMO...
Good to have you back in full force Wavxmaster. And thanks for the good laugh. Would you mind passing ERAS sauce:)? Okay I'll stop after I pass you the Lee sauce:)
No, I don't mean that. This was just my response to Micro if Wave were selling ERAS as well or instead of just Dell selling it.
Weets-
I'm just wondering how many customers already have this. After all the months of preparation I can't help but think that there are some customers who are already using this today.
Micro- Yes, I saw the price. The customer is getting a good amount of product for that price. If Wave is to sell this however, I think its going to need a good amount of marketing. When the KTM came out we thought that was a brilliant product, but without the proper marketing and market education that product has well.... I'm sure Wave hasn't told us a good many things for awhile but if it was good enough to put Wash68 on cloud nine I'll bet all is well.
Dell and ERAS
I have no idea what the terms would be if Wave was selling it. I'm sure that Dell is marketing this as almost a 'must have' so I'm glad we have Dell working for us. I would also bet that there have been plenty of other companies that have already used this. I'm hoping that the marketing gets kicked up a notch 'in the not too distant future':)
On Dell's Website...
This may or may not be new. Its the first time I have seen it.

Enterprise business-
If Wave's set of security software and servers are needed in the marketplace and it is now a good part of Dell's marketing material then why doesn't Dell have it in its own machines. Or do they?? It seems that if Dell and Wave are part of technology tour in Europe that they should be able to the say to the customer we have it and it works great for us. Why not?
SKS's response regarding the enterprise business (Outside of FDE) was less than stellar yesterday. I guess this is why I bring this up.
Maynard, that was Awk I believe... This was for Dell/Seagate/Europe. You are referring to a post a 'couple of months ago' then this was much more recent than that.
Wildman262- I think this video is going to appear on MTV soon now:). Most IT folks who view this video must crack up and then listen to the message a second time. Its definately interesting....
Thank you Wash. Your efforts are very much appreciated. I read a lot of posts on the board and yours was great. Thanks again.
Wildman 262...Thanks for the good laugh.
Thanks cosign- Did anyone watch that segment? It seems like that subject is pretty important to Wave.
Oknpv- Your link gets cut off. Thank you for your information.
Awk, I know this is jumping the gun, but it sure seems like Trusted Computing is going to be everywhere. Cars, phones, computers, PDA's, hmmmmm. TC is out to solve a problem and it looks like that problem is everywhere. It will be interesting to see what happens. Thanks again for all of your intelligent commentary. I have read a lot of what you have had to say and that was amazing and I'm sure you know a lot more!

Awk...
Thank you for your posts today and about Trustzone. I think we have all forgotten about E2, but your posts remind us that it is potentially still there in one form or another. Doma pointed out how you were correct regarding Dell and the Embassy Trust Suite having to be the business edition with regard to FDE. I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you for all of you invaluable DD. I appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!
CM- Thank you...
I have been reading your posts as of late, not that I didn't read them before, but I find them very informative and you lend so much to this board that I think many of us should feel very lucky. Your government posts sometimes go over my head but I get the gist of them. Your 'commentary' posts as of late are well extraordinary. Thank you so much.

Dell/Boeing commercial...
I saw a Dell/Boeing commercial a month or two ago. From what I gather Dell is doing all the IT work for Boeing. Whitewash, did this commercial say anything about laptop FDE from Dell. It certainly seems like they are a prime candidate for the FDE from Dell. Its been since May 21 or 24 since Wave has announced anything. I don't think that we have waited that long in between announcements.
Thank Whitewash.

Ootommy...
Someone told me if I watched the pot full of hot water on the stove that I wasn't going to see it boil. June 7 - ASM until now. Not a lot of days but a lot of days when you're waiting for the pot to boil. At least they put up that Webinar on the website so something must be happening. Best of luck.

TPT and others...
I thought this was a good link that might not have surfaced before. I don't know the true connection between trustzone and Wave as it seems to be well mysterious... Anyways I thought this link was interesting.
http://www.arm.com/markets/mobile_solutions/app.html
Awk, there were two presentations one from Arm and one from Lark a couple of years ago. The one from Lark is inaccessible. It would be greatly appreciated if you could post the one from Lark. I think its a diagram. If you can't, oh well, and thanks for all the great dd you have done.
Mundo...
Wouldn't in most cases the Wave shareholders need to agree to the buyout?? Didn't Intertrust's shareholders have to agree with the Sony and other buyout. From what I recall the price was a rich premium over the current market value. Still probably not enough though.
If this company bought out Wave I would think that the parties within the TCG would have to be satisfied with the scenario. If it happened maybe they lose a board seat. Maybe, maybe not. There are still shares out there that have 5 to 1 voting rights that might deter a company from taking over Wave. Just some random thoughts...
Dear Weets,
From Dragsters to the ponies... I hope we're on the horse thats 5 to 2 and not 50 to 1. You did not say how 'The Wave' looked before it posted. IMO its been pretty beat up over, well, a horse can't be that old in this race:) It would seem to me that 'Trustzone' would be the wildcard in this race. Things are heating up. IMO. Where's Tsunami07???
May1Sep2...
I think I've read so many posts, close to all of them that I miss some sometimes. Those were good. Also Wave typically doesn't go more than 3 weeks in between product announcements, partner announcements or demonstrations. We're over a month now. Somethings cooking...IMO.
ZZT-Bone RE: Seagate/Dell
I think everyone hear would have liked an announcement on June 8th and that would have been very, very soon. The Seagate CEO just came out of the wood work a few days ago in CNET article and said, "Clearly, something must be done before one of these breaches bankrupts a company or threatens national security." He basically beat up on software encryption and the tone of the article was as if Seagate (or full-disc-encryption) is coming to help fix the problem. I'd say that is a pretty good sign!
In a June Seagate article that helpfulbacteria posted there was this: Such devices, encrypting disk drives, are now being mass-produced after a period of sampling. Manufacturers are deploying them by large numbers in laptops, desktop PCs, data-center applications, portable media players, and TV broadcast video recorders.
Movement has begun IMO.
One other thing to think about: SKS had this to say in the 1st quarter cc, "I think we'll see the beginning of any volume that comes from the market in Q3 and Q4." From this statement it doesn't sound like Dell/Seagate in the 2nd quarter.
Just like most everyone out here I remain AWW as well.
(Another Wavoid Waiting)
Wave Fan-
I like your find, but I thought this had already been on Dell for awhile. But this may be new. Why would you be bring this up? Did this show up as new on the website and/or are you intrigued by the KTM and its potential.
Wave Fan-
The KTM wasn't really discussed in the SHM. I think that is what you are referring to. After the KTM server is sold I believe there is an 18 percent fee for it. I'm not exactly sure how that all works. As far as how it relates to Seagate and the FDE drive it would seem like almost a critical piece to corporation or government implementing these drives.
I'm sure there are more Wavoids on the board who know the ins and outs of KTM and its future.
Oknpv- Thank you for your efforts...
Helpfulbacteria - Thank you very much... Those were some very interesting nuggets.
VH- Equity research for sale:
Thank you. Isn't it amazing that 50 million TPM's were shipped last year and Wall St doesn't know what's going on. You would have thought that someone would have told someone something. Well, the Wavoids know. Thanks again.
Here is a neat video:
Go to: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/notebooks
Click on 'Why by a Thinkpad notebook?'
Go to the little TV screen that says Lenovo Vision and click on 'Why buy Lenovo?' I just thought it was interesting.
Thats it!...
I didn't explain my self real well but I remembered Willett talking about key management and Seagate get pennies...On page 5.
I thought this was an excellent article. No outstanding! IMO of course. Thank you very much. BTW, I hope those blanks start showing some new computer companies in the very, very, very, very, very, very near future. One can dream....
Wildman262... Thank you, that was the best chuckle I had today.
May1sep1...
This article was before the first big launch. It was an interview with someone like Mike Willett and I believe they talked about Wave and Seagate making money off the harddrive. Somehow they used Wave software or server device. I just remember it being an excellent article. I know it was 3 or 4 pages. Thanks.
BTW, any idea on where Dell/Seagate is? That is the 64 million dollar question. I thought very, very very soon would have been yesterday. Oh well.
Seagate article...
Does anybody have that 4 page article where someone was interviewed from Seagate throughout about FDE? It was several months back and at one point in the article I believe they talked about partitioning on a disc and both Wave and Seagate would share in the revenue. It was very interesting. If there is anyone who could provide that link I'd greatly appreciate it.
TIA
