EMAIL FROM ERIC; regarding my questions about Lowe's:
Hello Mr. XXXX,
I can honestly state that as of 2:09 EST June 1 09 I have been given no signal from Lowes through our liaison team to suggest there is a pull-back or change of stance. I agree completely that the situation causes awkwardness, however there is no pertinent information which is being withheld and no negative material development relating to this account that is awaiting disclosure.
I know there are persons who feel in hindsight that I should not have provided any status reports to shareholders regarding the status of this new relationship. I did so in response to questions about the staus of the matter of a new national account, forthrightly. A review of anything which has been communicated to shareholders in writing and in discussion on this subject will reveal that I have been very cautious to provide clear and blunt reminders that if there are internal delays on the customer end beyond our control, then timing will be affected.
I have no negative developments on this subject to report.
Sincerely,
Eric Lehner, CEO
WinningBrands.ca
Hello Mr. Lehner:
My name is XXXX and I have been a proud shareholder since December of last year. It has been an exciting six months as I have continued to add to my position, witnessed many impressive accomplishments, influenced other investors to add WNBD to their portfolios and purchased Winning Colours Stain Remover for both myself and numerous family members and friends. As a small business person myself, I'm all too aware of the challenges involved, especially when having to depend on third parties and working with large companies. Please know how impressed I am with everything you have accomplished and that I realize it is not possible to please everyone.
While I am committed to holding my shares long-term based on the huge potential I see in WBC, I must admit I have one particular concern on which I hope you will comment. On March 23, 2009 you wrote with regard to the topic of Lowe's USA "...imminent arrival of Winning Colours Stain Remover to the first local group." During the April 30, 2009 conference call you quoted a representative of Lowe's referencing this same topic as stating "...a matter of any moment." As you know, the Lowe's logo has been up on the Winning Brands website since the middle of February and you originally anticipated the first store(s) in Ohio would offer WCSR by March of 2009. This ongoing delay appears to be more involved than the examples you gave us in the March 23, 2009 letter.
I recognize you're limited in what you can communicate to me at this point in time. That being said, I believe you're also understanding of a shareholder with this concern requesting some additional input. Do you still use the term "imminent" when referring to the arrival of Winning Colours Stain Remover to the first local group of Lowe's stores in Ohio? Has anything changed since the Lowe's representative told you this was "a matter of any moment" over a month ago? Is there anything else you can share with me regarding our relationship with Lowe's USA?
Thank you for your dedication to this company and your willingness to communicate with the shareholders.
Sincerely,
XXXX
Thanks for the charts. Most look like decending triangles.
Soapy:
Today looks like a mini-ascending triangle is forming. Look how it's coiling.
Great volume!
I'm lost. In what way did Eric/WBC stick their noses up at Soapy and Rocket?
It didn't help the share price with well-over an hour left in the trading day. Do you think the news just needs a little time to get out? What effect, if any, do you believe it will have on the share price?
I bought a starter position in this company today as well. Will free up some money and add if it takes out $4.05 resistance.
Clay:
Are you still following URHN? Perhaps I'm bias when it comes to uranium mining, but I think this stock could breakout.

Eric is under a lot of pressure to tell us what he can about Lowe's. Everyone is breaking his chops. I think he is handling a tough situation well. He's damned whatever he does.
I think we should cut him some slack. Sounds like we are within weeks, if not days, of the Lowe's pictures and PR. We have known from the beginning Lowe's was in control. Same goes for Walmart and Home Depot USA, who will likely sell our products one day. If it were up to WBC/Eric, we would all be rich by now.
The imminent news regarding Lowe's will recharge all long-term believers as just the next step in this success-in-the-making.
Loew's: "Matter of any moment."
Is the lower volume a warning sign for BBDA?
Soap:
Request: Please give me your opinion on HRNF.
Thanks!
Is there an advantage over going long the leveraged financials ETF?
Does this mean you're long SKF and, therefore, short financials?
Soap:
Did you buy any today?
Clay:
Big news over at WNBD late in today's trading. Even bigger news "imminent" regarding one of their products will be sold in Lowe's in the USA. Please give us an update on its chart.
Thanks!
Soap:
Thanks for all your hard work and input on this board. You were very influential in my decision to invest in WNBD.
Lansing
Cool:
Thanks for the clarification.
Great memo from Eric! Shouldn't be long now. Definately shouldn't be short now!
Lansing
It also refers to "protocol for in-store demonstrations."
Cool:
I'm a little confused if you're directing this comment at me. If you read my previous posts you will see I have great respect for Eric and have never questioned his motivations.
I'm one of the few who seems optimistic that Eric's memo to our board may be delayed because he is waiting for the green light on the Lowe's PR, which will allow him to discuss topics which have yet to be made public. To use your words, I'm giving him some room.
Why do you assume my comments regarding "volume" and "emotions" are negative? We need both to attract new shareholders and increase our stock's share price. I was just joking with Rocket regarding the spelling of "colours" to try and lighten the mood around here while we wait. Your post is an example of the "emotions" to which I'm referring.
Good luck,
Lansing
Don't you mean "colour?"
Emotions running high - look at that volume!
One could interpret that to mean the PR will be out by Friday, which also happens to be the first day of Spring. We could be very close.
Clay:
Are you still watching WNBD? PR around the corner regarding one of their products will be sold in Lowe's in the USA. Please give us an update on its chart.
Thanks,
Lansing
I appreciate your input! I'll pick some up as soon as our baby gives us the long-anticipated PR.
While DOW 6,000 makes me sick too, the P/E in 2000 was 43, which is obviously unsustainable. The people who became intoxicated with optimisim at the peak will be the same people who panic in the end and sell at a single digit P/E ratio. People have a herd mentality and make emotional decisions instead of business decisions. That's why long-term bear markets usually end with the P/E ratio in the 5 - 8 range. Considering we are at about 12 right now, the DOW will almost certainly fail to hold 6,000 and we have to consider a breach of 5,000 a real possibility. A counter-trend bear market bounce will give the herd reason to be optimistic and many will fall victim to a suckers' rally.
All just my opinion but I've been expecting this type of crash. There will be some amazing buying opportunities for independent thinkers who don't get wiped-out on the way down!
Hi Cash:
I'm confused. My post does not say anything about Eric promising a PR regarding Lowes in March.
That being said, it's certainly possible.
Lansing
Thanks HR. Many of us are anxiously awaiting your future post(s) confirming Winning Colours is on the shelves in Lowes stores in Ohio. I believe Eric emailed something about including sales and customer experiences in the PR. I wonder if day one will be a Saturday so that we have two heavy-traffic shopping days to discuss in an early week PR.
We appreciate you're taking the time to visit the Lowes stores in that area of Ohio - an hour drive for you.
Do you think this will rally if/when the general market bounces, which seems over-due to me? Will it be a counter-trend bear market bounce, like the general market, IMO?
Remember our conversation about DOW 6,000? I bet someone $1,000 in July of 2004 that the DOW will fall below 6,000 within ten years. Everyone thought I was crazy at that time, but not any more.
Thank you TM & Kiwi.
I'm off to Scottrade. Don't buy anything until I get back!
Lansing
TH:
I'm sure I've missed some posts regarding my question, but please tell me who on this board we have in the Ohio area expecting the first Winning Colours sales in Lowes.
Thanks.
Tell them to keep it that way as I don't get paid again until Friday. Fingers crossed for shares under .01! Remind them it's pink, risky and highly speculative!
Rocket:
Emotions are running very high right now. I'm an investment advisor and, fortunately, took my clients out of the market in August of 2007. By October 2007, they thought I was an idiot and now they're mad I pulled their short positions (and went to cash) in September 2008 because I feared manipulation with the approaching election (I was wrong). I can't win and have to keep reminding people they have not been hurt by this furocious bear. How fast they forget.
Please know how much most of us on this board appreciate all your hard work, input, knowledge and DD!!!
Lansing
Thanks. Please post something if/when you take a position. I appreciate all your input!
Since you're expecting a bounce in the broad market (as am I, although I believe it will prove to be a counter-trend rally) do you own any Graham Corp right now?
Will do. Thanks!
Sitting on my hands until our baby comes through - shouldn't be long now!!
Soapy:
You recently wrote this stock is on your watch list. Please tell me why. Is it "still" on your watch list or are you expecting something in the near future?
Thaks,
Lansing
Thanks, Soapy.
Clay:
Did you abandon ship on BBDA?
Thanks,
Lansing
Hi Clay:
Please give us some additional input on BBDA. Are you still optimistic short-term?
Thanks!
