Good man. Thanks for the work. Any news is good.
My experiences with 7 RC have been mostly neutral - things just work. I am really happy with the TaskBar changes.
Putting the SSD in my hCrapTop, with 7 RC, has made it a very different machine. Very usable.
Am impatient to flip this beast ...

Today was my first chance, at home, where the app is, for a trading day since the acquisition.
OMG, I've died and gone to Trading Heaven ... with yet another learning curve.

I've been looking for someplace, anyplace, that has a definitive 'What Win 7 Upgrade" wants to install on your hardware.Mostly what I've found is a lot of fanboy assholes. Eeeewwww.
Just that useful too.
Anybody got a link?
Best regards for a Happy and Safe Fourth of July,

Probably. How the memory controller responds is the question. You may well get just the lower speed, if it works at all.
I've never tried it, though.
Good thing you're brave ...

Now, for this, you decide to use words ...
You kids

An acquired taste, perhaps.

I believe the word I'd use here is "taciturn".
You use the bias indicated by the daily buy / sell signal to influence your entry / position / exit on the 30 minute?
Not to put words in your post or anything

If they start selling.
If I was playing with your money, I'd be buying too ...

I'm very uncertain about buying an Win 7 upgrade. I've got:
- laptop with no original media, was XP, now Win 7 RC
- laptop with original Vista something pre-installed
- 2nd desktop with Win 7 RC, was XP Pro a long time ago (where's that DVD ...)
- 1st desktop, XP Media Center (where's that DVD ...)
What am I going to be asked for / examined about for Win 7 32 bit Home or 64 bit Pro? Anyone know?
Thanks,
rr
That last bar's a doozy. And, buying when it's going down is a good bet, as is selling when it's going up ...
Yeah, I know ...
I'm thinking of recasing / new power supply / new cooler for the current machine that I can later move to an i7 system post Win 7. Antec Skeleton, Signature 650W, Noctua NH-C12P 120mm SSO CPU Cooler. I've got 3 machines to 'roll down' eventually, one of which (P4/845/PATA mobo) needs to be permanently retired. Tough to figure out how to do it slowly.
Thx,

If the bonds were clearly fake, and they were not presented for payment, what "crime", exactly was committed?
Possession of a bad version of a fake bond?

The use of the 2% profit for an exit criteria is interesting. TTMAR is a good strategy, I think

Have you ever come to any conclusions about your CCI studies, or any additional insights, beyond abandoning RSI?
Every eyeball test I do looks remarkable. But, you have a more rigorous approach.

Good to hear from you.
I'm trigger happy. Curse of low commissions, and past failures to achieve good exit locations.
And, short again $SPX ...
rr
Yessir, you're doing fine.
I bailed on my shorts when the 1 minute $spx went thru the price channel I keep on it 915.5 or so.
Between your call, and historical accuracy, and my itchy trigger family, I'm good.

It'll bounce a bit in here, I think. So also thinks EvilSpeculator.

Running out of, or over, shorts to buy
The CCI going below 100 would be a sell / go short signal.
You mention waiting for the wedge to break down to short.
Would you take which ever one happens first, or would you need them both?
rr
Maybe, just maybe ...
The way the StockCharts chart looks depends on whether you're a subscriber or not AND whether you're logged in or not.

JO hi,
You answered what I was asking for entering the trade (CCI outside of +- 250, relative high volume.
When does the trade exit? Next available CCI 50 cross?
Thanks, have a great day trading.

TREND1,
I am looking forward to your backtests.
Thanks for showing this.

Please, what would my trades have been on this one? Thanks.

q1:question: is it bad for me to turn off my PC's entirely after I am done using them for the day. Meaning cut off total power supply?
Bad? Electronics wear out over time, no matter what you do. I don't know that power up / power down is better or worse than 'on most of the time'. I leave my main machine on almost constantly, the two 'other' machines go to sleep after a while, and my wife's laptop is used as a photo frame when she's not using it.
And, yes, you can get a surge thru the power cord, even with one or more surge suppressors in the way. But, I suspect, you'll need a REAL CLOSE lightning strike to make that happen. "SOME" is the operative word here, I think.

zzm,
Unclean power causes lots of possible problems for electronics. AC's tend to draw a large amount on startup, which can cause sags elsewhere, which causes cap's to discharge to compensate. I don't know about them causing spikes.
Most municipal power is unclean as well, with voltage drops, sags and spikes common, not to mention brief outages.
So, yeah, I think you're hosed.
Next time you save money on a new computer, or win a lottery, spend $100 and get a battery backup, which will help keep clean power going to the rig.

TREND1,
I think I like the buy/sell/short/cover/losses format.
But, I need to study it for a long time before I think I understand it.
Thank you for your work. Good to see you 'over there'.
