You’re making assumptions without evidence in order to support a preferred belief. The truth is none of us knows why Jin joined or why he is still there. What I do now from my professional experience is that employees do not bite the hand that feeds them. Jin is making a much bigger salary at Anavex than he ever did at the FDA. Missling strikes me as the kind of CEO who takes his own counsel. He does not encourage employees to vigorously challenge him. CEOs like that are good at telegraphing to employees that there are limits to pushback and everybody gets the message. They keep their heads down and do their job, period.
I think you are frustrated because the so-called FUDsters have been right all along and the shorts are the ones who have been raking it in. Meanwhile, longs have been long suffering while the Dow, Nasdaq, and the S&P 500 are at record highs. Anybody who has a significant percentage of their portfolio in AVXL has missed out on the greatest bull market in decades.
Looks like shorts and FUDsters have started painting the tape early today. Right, George? 😂😂😂
Nonsense, as usual. According to Investopedia, painting the tape “is a form of market manipulation whereby market players attempt to influence the price of a security by buying and selling it among themselves to create the appearance of substantial trading activity. The goal of painting the tape is to create the illusion of an increased interest in a stock to trick investors into buying shares, which would drive the price higher yet you blame shorts and FUDsters for painting the tape every time the stock closes down.
By the way, you screamed las Friday that news was “imminent”, yet we got no news. Another failed prediction to add to your long, long list of failed predictions. I suppose we should expect another prediction today for HUGE NEWS next week, within another fort night (another failed prediction), or imminently.
Too bad investors don’t reward the stock for planning.
Dr. Jin is making a fat salary and has good benefits. Do you honestly believe he’s going to push back hard on Missling? Would you?
“I found it quite appalling/depressing that the small number of available AVXL employees was a reason for delays in filing.”
This is a bogus excuse. Even if it were true, Anavex could hire consultants to handle the load.
People need to stop making excuses for Missling.
Of course Missling knows, but he has never shown any interest in what shareholders think. He does whatever he wants and seems not to care what anyone thinks. He is a classic autocratic CEO.
Truly amazing how blind some people are to Missling's faults and how clever they are at making excuses for Missling rather than holding him accountable.
You forgot a big one: We hope you’re as excited as we are.
Thanks! What would we do without you?
Is Missling having such a grand plan your assumption or did he say this? If he said it, please provide a link or direct me to wherever he said this.
3-71 is not a new molecule. If 3-71 is so much more potent than 2-73, as you claim, then please explain why Missling wasted years and millions of dollars on 3-72 instead of 3-71.
Missling is the worst of the worst. Never seen anything like it. I’ve been saying for years the guy’s gotta go.
“The Street” gets it alright. That’s why AVXL is at a 52-week low.
So is cancer, depression, acute and neuropathic pain, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, stroke, and COVID, among many others.
So what? That’s not how investors (the real kind, not the cult followers) value stocks.
All your ABSOLUTELY GREAT (HUGE) NEWS and trillion-dollar market opportunities has delivered is a 52-week low.
ABSOLUTELY GREAT NEWS and the stock tanked to a 52-week low probably because Missling keeps putting more shares to his vulture investor.
Outside of a cult following of perhaps a dozen people, no one in the investment community has any faith in Missling.
Keep that ABSOLUTELY GREAT NEWS coming!
You can apply for a loan at a bank and include your information. Doesn’t mean the bank will agree to the loan.
“this SP totally unexplainable.”
Year after year of fumbles, stumbles, fibs, missed timelines, goal post moving, cherry picking of data, no pharma partnerships, depending on a vultures investor for funds, and terrible communications and now class action lawsuits all leading to zero credibility and you seriously think the SP is totally unexplainable?
Delay, delay, delay. That is what Missling does to keep himself employed. He knows he will never again be hired in a CEO role.
Appearances can be deceiving. The bar for judging Missling’s performance has been set very low. His report card is the stock price. On that basis alone he gets an F.
The longer Missling can delay the day of reckoning, the longer he can continue to be in charge and collect a fat paycheck. Sooner or later this house of cards will fall but Missling has been adept at always coming up with something new and exciting to keep shareholders hanging on. One of the beauties of biotech is that you can create value out of thin air. In the case of Anavex, there are always more indications and more compounds to pull out of the hat. Missling has been quite adept at this but at some point it just won’t work anymore. In the meantime, shareholders continue to suffer.
I don’t think so. Missling has demonstrated incompetence as a CEO, has shown no growth in the job, and has shown no interest in growing in the job. The stock price reflects the investment community’s lack of confidence. I call it the Missling discount.
I appreciate that it's psychologically more comforting to blame outside forces rather than admit the possibility of being wrong but doing so doesn’t change the facts.
The stock is a disaster because our CEO is incompetent and has no credibility. Blaming Adam Feuerstein is silly.
So we should buy your hype instead?
Anavex is a house of cards built on a great story that doesn’t hold up under scrutiny.
“WTF is holding things up ????”
The Leaning Tower of Missling, that’s what.
“Expect over 2 million shares bought today with AVXL closing green.“
Do I need to say it? Two more wrong predictions.
The good news is AVXL closed up a penny off the intraday low of $4.81. Looks like an uptrend is in place.😂🤦♂️😩
I think you’re onto something. However to be precise, Anavex likely put shares to LPC (Anavex’s vulture investor) and then LPC turned around and dumped them onto the market. We’ll find out when 2Q shares outstanding are reported.
Thanks George. I’ll start buying right away so that I can enjoy some quick paper profits today on your say so! I’m sure others will, too.
Huh? Your post makes no sense. What is your point?
Anavex has attempted to differentiate A3-71 as a mixed SR1 / muscarinic receptor agonist, yet A2-73 is also a mixed SR1 / muscarinic receptor agonist https://www.alzforum.org/therapeutics/blarcamesine
Would someone with a background in biology please explain how A3-71 is different from A2-73 in that regard?
Year after year, Missling has learned no lessons. I don’t think he’s going to start now.
The EXCELLENCE pediatric trial was a non-success.
It is highly unlikely that Anavex will submit regulatory filings with the FDA, EMA, and other agencies around the world because regulatory agencies will not approve Anavex’s Blarcamesine for the treatment of Rett syndrome without years of larger trials and verifiable proof of safety and efficacy.
Very interesting. Thanks for posting the link to the Harvard Law School study.Whether the accusations and evidence stated in the class action suit against Anavex are sufficient to win a judgment remains to be seen but based on my reading of the Harvard study it is my opinion that the accusations and evidence are specific and damning. Still, the majority of cases like this are dismissed.
I’m just taking after you.
If you’re interested, read it for yourself. It’s not my job to spoon feed you.
You were half right. Volume was over 1.5 million but the stock closed lower. Perhaps bas2020 and his investment group were the buyers. Either that or it was Longtermbeliever.
TBD.
The accusations are very specific. Detailed evidence that supports the accusations is provided, including comments from security analysts. None of this is frivolous.
If I were Missling I’d be very worried. It’s no wonder he’s been radio silent.
I read the entire complaint. The WGTers, who likely won’t read the complaint, will nevertheless dismiss this as a nothing burger and conspiracy perpetrated by Adam Feuerstein and an imaginary paid cabal. However, I would encourage everyone to read the entire complaint and decide for yourselves whether you think this case is cause for real concern. The accusations, support by abundant evidence, are clearly laid out and in my opinion quite devastating.
It’s no wonder Missling is lying low.
