esamme I attempted to copy your conference
call.I did the first page and was unable to do the rest except for the WS Ad. Is their a restriction?
I don't frequent the boards any longer as they are cumbersome.
I had listened to the conference but I have always kept copies for reference. The stock is moving into strong hands.

esammee a few thoughts on today's market action
Today's buying was orderly ,no huge buying which has been previously unsubstainable.
True, traders that have sold the rallies and bought the dips in geron over the years have done well. I am not one of them.
I have never considered geron a trading stock for my purpose.
As Okarma stated some years back Grn163L could be a home run.
That is my view ,right or wrong that is my strategy.
It is backed by a substantial position that will dwarf any profits made by trading.
Todays news supports the facts that things are going our way.
Dr. Colowick was being paid in excess of 600K in his previous position I hardly would believe we engaged him for peanuts .Obviously an attractive option package solves this problem but only if it one believes it has merit.
Of course traders may argue geron is just another Biotech stock with good prospects like many others.
They may be right, But what if they are wrong?
Buying fifty or a hundred thousand shares at 7 is one thing buying them at 30 is something else.
halfaleague
Geron's stock rallies despite patent arguments.
The lawyers may argue the validity of the patents but it will be several years at least for the patent office to review Prior art.Other argumentive issues are of little consequence.
Trial results are the main issues before us .
There is little posted in this respect and it seems many posters have lost sight of their importance.
halfaleague
Why the patents are valid
Stem cell research has been around for years prior to WARF.
Research is one thing SUCCESSFUL RESEARCH is something else.
Certainly geron did not fund the research and and sign a license without knowledge of prior art. That arguement is used in almost every attempt to revoke a patent
The arguement that Warf or Geron are prohibiting progress or product developmemt has little if any merit.
Granting a license to others on reasonable terms for a fee is a win win situation for both parties Not to do so is self defeating.
Years have passed since Geron obtained these rights.
Their value has been questioned and dismissed as not proven.
Other alternatives have been constantly been in the headlines.
Now that hesc reality is fast approaching it is no longer a moral question but a financial one.
Is this a great country or what ?
halfaleague
.
Infringement over ,But Not done with.
As previously stated Dr. West has been an adversary of geron since he left the company,
There were no conciliatory remarks made by Geron in their press release. It was simple and to the point The suits were dismissed with prejudice period.
When Geron was in a legal dispute with warf several years ago The plaintiff declared while bringing suit they expected to settle out of court. ( which they did }.
To believe that "lets all be friends now" as esammme suggests in my view is wishful thinking.
I do not question ACT's science, simply because there is little to question. No animal studies . No jogging rats, No hearts repaired, ETC.
They state they are going to file an IND based on past and future pre clinical studies.
When that will be, who knows.
If I seem harsh it reflects the the track record of Dr. West of bringing anything of consequence to fruition.
In the meantime I am not interested in discounted convertible bonds or warrants at 1.60 conversion or perhaps less.
The stock at 80 cents a share I will leave to the venturesome.
Things may change but as for now I would not mention Geron and ACT as investments in the same breath.
halfaleague
Esammee great ACT analysis however caveats abound
I view a company two ways qualitative and quanitative.
You certainly covered the quantitative aspects in your post,it is the qualitative aspects that concern me.
It is seldom in small companies in particular that you gain an insight into management not only as to skills but character as well.
ACT as been a thorn in Geron's side for two or three years.
To question Geron's rights as to who owned what when geron had dolly staring them in the face was litigation born more of spite than the possibilities of holding a legal winning hand. When you end up paying legal fees you are not a winner.
I find the financing absurd. The run in the stock and the warrant conversions left the public holding the bag once again.
Certainly a private placement would have protected the public but not as advantageous to the company.
Is Dr. West a visionary ? People seem to think so.
Ben Franklin attracted electricity with a kite and a key , but it took Thomas Edison to put it in a light bulb.
It seems to me that Dr.WEST has spent a great deal of time with the kites rather than the light bulbs. halfaleague
The so called ACTC discovery.
If monumental Cnot saying its not) why is the stock selling for seventy cents per share.?
From lab to commercial cells may be light years away if ever.
Without a roadmap seventy cents may prove to be expensive.
The past record of the company is dismal and Dr. West has little to show for his efforts except for his legal challenges of geron's patents.
The financial structure of the company in my view is severely flawed and one should be careful of not being the last man out.
halfaleague
Raining on the parade of ACTC
not for investors..
It is for traders and even then they are outsiders.
The financing while not a Ponzi scheme makes me shudder.
I do not wish to imply someone cannot make money trading the stock and if posters are in the stock I wish them well.
I trade once in a awhile and even then I buy companies not stocks ,there is a difference
Remember Entremed people made money and others lost their shirts.
Where is the stock going, I have no idea in the short run.
In the long run without a business platform that is believable It will end up like many other Biotechs on the Bulevard of Broken Dreams. A private placement would have appeared better than all the smoke and mirrors. halfaleague
esamee I thought so also but not sure
The news release was 1.00 pm and geron jumped twenty cents shortly afterwards.
In a sense confirming your appraisal.
I'm sure as hell not qualified to make that call.
The stock is acting well and very little interest or action in options. The open interest is down considerably .
It seems to me the speculation has been rung out and holders of the stock no longer chase the spike
Now when traders run the stock and tell their broker to sell his answer is "to whom ".
I believe the stock is in much stronger hands and awaits the type of news that will authenticate a major move.
Until then , thanks for the call. halfaleague
Paula you miss my point
I am not objecting to your posts or anyone elses for that matter.I am not objecting as to whether they are fact or fiction
I believe in demcocracy , free speech and my mother's apple pie, I fought for them.
What I object to is a message board that was saturated with political posts that ultimately destroyed it.
It became an open forum for debate..
The Die Hard liberals lost a close election and shouted foul play. I don't care.If there was it existed on both sides.
The Yahoo board was free Posters seem to forget that .
Now that its. gone no one wants to accept responsibility .
When one goes to the geron board he expects to read about geron and other relative information Not how John Kerry'was cheated at the polls.
When all is said and done it proved nothing and accomplished nothing.
" The old order changeth
yielding place to new.
And God fulfills himself
in many ways, less one good custom
should corrupt the world" Goodbye Geron board.
halfaleague
.
Esammee & Paula all boards have lost value.
The political avalanche on Yahoo in recent times eventually destroyed the board.
The board was for the most part was anti republican and anti Bush.
No matter. the same results would have occured if had it been the other way around.
The name of the Board was and still is GERON.
Political comments as they pertained to Geron were certainly appropriate. But beyond that they were fruitless and redundant.
I stopped reading and posting months ago and other investors I know did also.
Esammee along with others kept the board informed with comments and links and published reports of Geron's verbal presentations.
That all went out the window and it became a daily tirade of "Let me tell you how half the voters in this country are stupid and don't understand the issues". The truth of the matter only a small percentage is needed to change the majority in either house and you are still stuck with half the voters not changing.
I agree Yahoo shoud have done things differently or left them alone.
Posters seem to forget they did and still do furnish a wealth of information and it is all FREE.
We now have many boards and few posters.
The retreat from Yahoo destroyed all boards and new stockholders or casual posters have no where to go.
Finally I find no fault with your political opinions (opposite of mine for the most part) or your efforts to make this board a success I hope you do.But I doubt it will ever reach heights we once enjoyed. halfaleague
Is" THIS ONE" the real McCoy?
Who knows?
To speculate on the effectiveness Of Gern 163L in a article
leads to nothing.
Is it the final answer is not the question.
How effective in comparison to present therapies begs the question.
The approach is novel a universal cancer antigen.
It borders on destructive technology.
Is it the final answer probably not, but it may open the door to it.
In the meantime this may be a far far better way of treating cancer then heretofore, saving lives that were previously lost.
I'Ll take that for openers. halfaleague
The bond conversion a classic move.
I don't have the Bond Indenture in front of me but converting the debt to equity ,absolutely great.
Giving them paper instead of cash.
There was no way they could redeem the bonds.
It caused dilution and I remember posters screaming about it.
In fact, it cleamed up the balance sheet.
and they have not had to service debt since.
Simply. a company without a positive cash flow cannot service debt and ultimately end up in the bondholder's hands.
At that time the capital markets were not open to geron or few others for that matter..
One might question geron's selection of bondholders but then again what was available at that time? halfaleague
esammee five trials plus two
I was counting Merck and Duke using telomerase as a criteria.
Market manipulation you can count on it.
Contrary to woof' long standing opinion there is enough public awareness to move the stock.
Why not higher now?
Its a "WHEN" thing.
Certainly if you have a large position now or a small one but wish to increase it dramatically you want to it at these prices.
Do do so you want further assurance of success.
Holding the stock here or lower is the name of the game.
In my view it is not bringing the drug to market but some outstanding trial success.
What would that be? I will leave that question for you to answer.
I could do it but my dog knocked my key board over. halfaleague
Esammee a question about the seven trials.
For a relatively small company why so many?
How are they expensed?
Obviously there is a reason but isn't this unusual or is it standard in the industry.
I am all for full speed ahead , but where are we going with all this ? halfaleague
esammee what should be underlined in the conference call.
This is the second time i have heard reference to it.
Namely,Gern163L effect on the stem cell that is resistant to current drugs and is responsible to a great extent for the recurrence of cancer in patients,
Some time ago Okarma stated tha Grn163L in conjunction with taxol shut this stem cell down completely.
In the conference call he said they were using the drug alone in trials to determine the degree of its effectiveness versus cancer stem cells
Have I got that right.
In any event the physicans I talked to agreed if that was true it would be momumental.
Your comments as always appreciated. halfaleague

Impeachment? preposterous on what grounds ?
When you get past the bigoted democrat versus republican political alliances on both sides there leaves little for debate.
Whether one is willing to accept it or not the president gets high marks on most issues.
Economics, tax relief, assisted drug cost relief, unemployment,
reduction , debt reduction due to increased tax revenues due to economic growth.
All these issues can be debatd including the military conflicts and certainly this is not the forum for it. The point being there is little room for real controversey.
Except HESC. Here the president has failed miserably.
I do not accept the veto was political.
He is not running for reelection In fact , he may very well have
single handily lost the november election.
With 70 percent of the polls in favor of the research he has rejected it summarily.
If we had elected him Pope he could do that.
That is what Popes do,right or wrong that is their perogative.
We elected him president and I a appreciate and respect his religious and moral beliefs but he fails to to understand they are his not those of the vast majority of this nation.
He has become a religious zealot and history reveals they cannot be reasoned with.It has never been a question of whether hesc. works or not,It is merely a question God willing it will work and bring hope to those afflicted where there was none before.halfaleague
have
Hellow everyone,How I managed to get on this board is beyond me..My computer skills are limited to say the least and if a poster did not provide me with a way I never would have made it. halfaleague
