There are a number of reasons for insider selling. Best case scenario is they need funding. Worst case scenario they're lining their pockets. Insider selling isn't a problem if they're using the funds for the company. It's a problem if it's used for greed or fear. One can only speculate. I doubt the Germans will tell you/us or give an explanation as to why the sold shares anymore as to the reason they buy shares.
But then they come back in Q1 2022. How the pattern usually goes. Holiday season ends and "new year new me" attitudes kick in
Agreed. Bears win (At least short term) here. Bulls will have to wait to see if they will ever be right. I'm still holding because the time to get out imo is long gone. I have to ride this out but moral is low.
Hahaha cheers mate.
Same. The DD is solid still but Noone could have anticipated the bombshell that dropped last week. Got to give Atlanta1 props for calling it on the warning signs he pointed out. DD is solid like I said and maybe long term things will pan out. The warning signs were there and Atlanta pointed them out. See how it all plays out. I personally don't have any choice lol. I'm down 70% and counting. Looking bleak short term but hoping long term things turn around. Never know what tomorrow will bring brother. I'm holding OG
You're catching flak from every where Doc. Funny how back on Q1 you were a hero and since then a few have labeled you a pumper, inside investor etc. Lol. Didn't realize you had so much influence on the market haha. Cheers to you and hopefully things look up for ASTI. They love you when they're up but hate you when they're down.
To be fair we all knew an rs was coming at some point.. but yes Televet you did say recently (week or so ago) rs was coming. Good call.
I've been in since 2018 but bought too much between 0.02-0.07. I would need 0.022 to break even. Anything above 0.02 would be gravy if it ever happens. Will see how Q1-Q2 2022 goes.
Next year probably. I'm not expecting anything until January-February
No telling but I'm still in it and holding for the long run. In the end it's only $10 million. BD1 will get their money back one way or the other. They stand to gain significantly if ASTI gets going. Worst case scenario for BD1 is they break even December 18th 2025. Win win for BD1. We can agree to disagree and see what happens
Yeah but how likely? One can believe that one day 99 billion shares will be dumped or one can believe it's a non-factor until December 2025 when ASTI has to fill it's terms of said loan. Im going to go with BD1 acting in good faith to not do anything until 2025 and give ASTI time to complete their restructure and get the company on the right track. If not then I think the massive dump will come when ASTI admits defeat and closes shop and liquidate everything. I'm personally not going to worry about until 2025 assuming I'm still holding shares.
"Explanation of Responses:
1. On August 16, 2021, BD 1 Investment Holding, LLC ("BD1") sold and assigned a portion of an unsecured convertible promissory note equal to $600,000 in principal amount for a purchase price of $600,000. Following the transaction, BD1 owns two unsecured convertible promissory notes with principal amounts of $9,740,000 and $160,000, convertible at any time into 99,000,000,000 shares of Issuer's common stock at a fixed conversion price of $0.0001 per share. This joint filing on Form 4 includes Mr. Johannes Kuhn and Mrs. Ute Kuhn who are the 100% indirect owners of BD1.
2. The maturity date is December 18, 2025"
Loan maturity date refers to the date on which a borrower's final loan payment is due. Once that payment is made and all repayment terms have been met, the promissory note that is a record of the original debt is retired. In the case of a secured loan, the lender no longer has a claim to any of the borrower's assets.
I agree with hummer in reading the full 10-Q. If one looks only at the first page or 2 at the revenue then it's doom and gloom. If you read the rest you see explanations and business plans. For example anyone concerned about dilution ought not to be. Says right on page 10-11 BD1 is locked in until December 18th 2025. Assuming ASTI and BD1 don't have some sort of falling out between now and then. ASTI also gave a 30% discount on those shares to BD1 in exchange for not having to pay interest on the 10 million BD1 gave.
ASTI is burning through money for sure but it again states in the filings it is for revamping production and making sure they can produce what is needed for future orders. Revenue will pick up but right now ASTI is more concerned with getting their ducks in a row in their restructure than they are with sales at the moment. Part of their deal with Tubesolar in the JV is to make sure they can produce the PVs Tubesolar will need starting next year.
In short don't expect much price action up or down for the remainder of 2021. ASTI is still restructuring gearing up for the future. It will hold at 0.01-0.015 probably for the rest of the year unless a catalyst changes that.
According to LinkedIn they have 81 employees. Or 50-200. Hard to get an exact number because those 81 employees are the ones on LinkedIn. No telling how many are there not on LinkedIn. but they have a few and are still hiring according to Indeed. Looks like a few more openings 3-to-7 more openings at the moment depending on where you do a job search
"Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. | LinkedIn" https://www.linkedin.com/company/ascent-solar-technologies-inc-
Yep... I bought DWAC at $27 yesterday and jumped out at $110 today. Made a quick 200+%. Done there for now. In any case ASTI imo is gold. Just have to be patient. GLTY
It's almost like I called it lol
I have not. Way I see it Atlanta1 will be very right or very wrong. Time will tell. I'm holding. Never know what the company will release tomorrow.
Thats my hang up. I mean they went through a lot of trouble and are continuing to go through a lot of trouble. To me they have a plan to grow and expand. Whatever the plan is it was enough to create job openings for ASTI and convince BD1 to invest more. To me these are positive signs. Time will tell I guess. Just my opinion but I don't think ASTI is done by any stretch. At the end of the day we're all just riding the coat tails of big money investors hoping for the best. I mean no matter what happens none of us will be controlling shareholders. We have zero say or vote on what ASTI does which is a risk in itself. ASTI is going to do what it's going to do whether we like it or not. One has to know that if you're here. Just have to weigh the pros and cons. For me the pros out way the cons currently even though there is cons and risk.
Anything is possible. It's All speculative whether you want to hold it in a positive or negative light. Personally I don't see why one would go through so much trouble for that but then again I'm not the ultra rich. I don't know what's going on in their heads and don't know full game plan. Just going off what I know. In your scenario if that were the case why bring in more investors if you made your killing? One could easily just buy out and absorb the company and be done with it. The headline would read "TubeSolar buys out ASTI". Not joint partnership. Just my thoughts.
I agree the increase in the AS is worrisome and the risk factor is there for sure. At the same time though I don't know exactly the full on game plan for ASTI is. Lot of positive developments occurring. I'm just not jumping to conclusions either way good or bad. im also willing to hold ASTI for some time and see what happens. Will load up until I hit my own personal share count goal then will set and forget unless some major catalyst good or bad changes my overall thoughts on ASTI. I wish I had crystal ball.
Today sucked for sure. Last 7 months have sucked for ASTI. Today though I'm pointing at those who set stop losses, panic selling, usual manipulation and overall market due to uncertainty and FUD with inflation, debt ceiling, Reconciliation bill, China etc. My gut says stay put. So I'm holding strong. It's got to reverse at some point. Hopefully this is only short term. If not well I'll just hold longer haha.
Say it louder for the people in the back Jackpot
One of many reasons I'm still holding. Just sucks bad right now
Don't blame you. Wish I could but bag holding. Won't sell for a loss so stuck like chuck until it climbs or crashes completely.
Stable decline. Why? No idea. Bracing for sub-penny in the coming weeks
I'm loading all I can in preparation for 2022. Hopefully the price picks up but I'm not holding my breath. Bullish as well but don't forsee much change in the norm for the remainder of the year. Then again who knows what tomorrow will bring?
I agree. When and what the split ratio will be is anyone's guess. Then again I have been wrong before so a rs may never happen. Who knows?!?!
Cool story
I have to agree. I think it's great for those seeing some of their gains come back but becoming current should have happened a while ago. This excitement will fade out as the week progresses. Getting current has always been a standard and never a catalyst. Too early to tell but I'm personally not getting my hopes up too high. SB has a lot of work to do to build investor confidence back. I'm still on the fence with HPIL but getting pink current and getting the stop sign removed is a start. Once that happens and people can buy again I will jump back in with caution. I normally don't side with bears but you're making true statements. I'm personally not getting excited here. Much more needs to happen besides getting current.
Hardly anyone ever mentions Ichiban as an investor. Nice to see someone remember lol.
We will get there again. Patience
Same. I thought Q3 would be ASTI quarter for sure. Guess we will see how it goes.
Watch it pop in January again lol
I agree on the rs for $1.
Might not see real movement until next year. Hopefully I'm wrong. Am holding long but would love to get out of this funk between 0.015s-0.02s
I've been there too. With this ticker once before. Will hold for however long and load up when I can. Patience is certainly key though.
I'm bullish as well. Although it has been frustrating to see the pps where it's at for months. GLTY
Take anything and everything on stock message boards with a grain of salt. Especially in the OTC. Nobody knows anything except what is already been put out by the company through PR and filings. Everything else is a guess for the most part.
Cool story bro. I think most of us here will take our chances given the developments over the last year. Good luck to you.
Luck really. I Googled a couple years ago for "best penny stocks" and this one popped up on Motley Fool I think. Its where I got the low-down.i liked the tech and bought in thinking one day it would return to its former glory. Hindsight is always 20/20 and we all wish we would have bought more. But less than a year ago this company was on the brink of bankruptcy. Who could have guessed rich Germans would throw their chips into this?
Heck if we could have guessed it was going to touch 0.09 most if not all of us would have sold everything then waited for it to dip back down to 0.015 and bought waaay more with the profits.
